We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is bright and airy and had enough space for our party of 8 and 2 dogs to feel comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked, we managed a full thanksgiving dinner with what was available. Beach Access was very close 1min out the backdoor, but a little bit of a rough trail for the older generation. Has 2 balconies and a huge deck to hangout on. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset from the 3 floor bedroom balcony. Tons of towels and bedding and everything you would need including a washer and dryer. We had a great family holiday and would definitely come back again.

The house was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom vanity, and on the bed sheets. There were even large, yellow/brown stains on several of the beds (as is someone wet the bed). We called the host when we found the stains the first night, but had to wash the sheets ourselves in order to sleep that night. She had new sheets dropped at the front door the next day without packaging. By the time we got back the sheets were covered in dirt because of the wind. We ended up doing laundry all weekend just to be able to sleep on the beds. The house was also not in the condition shown in the photos. The wood stove chimney was removed, leaving a big hole in the wall. The path to the beach advertised was completely overgrown and difficult to walk through. When we complained, the host refunded only half the cleaning fee. The house was not worth the price or the hassle. I never leave negative reviews — this experience was so horrible, it doesn’t seem right not to let others know about it.

Great home my wife fell due to the bad hand rail going down the back porch stairs. It is in need of repair. No blinds in the living room area. No privacy neighbors could watch us constantly.

Overall wonderful family beach getaway for all age groups.

Great location, short walk to the beach right from the back patio. The walk would be tricky for someone with mobility issues. Ocean view only from the upper bedroom but you can hear the waves from the main floor as well. Main floor with a lot of seating space. We enjoyed very much!

Large, open house for our family reunion. Lots of beds for all and very comfortable. Pool table was a huge success. The close beach access was wonderful and nearly had the beach to ourselves. A few upkeep items would help. Necessary water hose for beach clean up was split spraying water everywhere. Front door light has a bird nest full of birds which created a terrible mess to greet you. My family loved their stay and want to return.

The house was very nice, but I was disappointed that I really could not see the Ocean; other houses I have stayed in within this community had great views of the Surf and a much better path to get there. Other than that, it was all good!

We gathered here on an extended family vacation. The beds allowed several families to stay and they were very comfortable. The ocean is a short walk away but the dune is a bit steep and the grass was very long—the little kids had to be carried. Kitchen is well stocked and we loved the big dining room table. With two sets of stairs, bring baby gates if you have little ones. Overall an enjoyable stay.

We had a good time together

What we really liked about this location is the private access to the beach. One of the most quiet locations we have had to date where the beach is not crowded and your own private trail. The home is a bit dated with no air-conditioning. Overall would recommend.

The house and our stay was great!

The home provided a lot of rooms, beds and separation of space. It had convenient access to the beach and plenty of parking. We were visiting with our sons basketball team and there was plenty of room for dinner guests. The property overall was a good value. Beds were comfy. Could have been cleaner but the owners were responsive to our feedback.

We had a group of 7 plus two dogs stay here arriving on the coldest day of the year. We arrived to a very cold house and couldn’t get the downstairs wall heaters to work. Next we went to the fireplace that was listed as an amenity and shown in pictures and it did not work. I contacted the property manager who said that it takes some time for the place to warm up and that the fireplace was just a decoration even though it is plumbed with gas and electrical. We were all so cold we went out for dinner and found the house still wasn’t warm a couple hours later. I contacted the manager again and got no response until my 3rd attempted late the next morning where I was asked to send pictures of the broken heaters. A maintenance guy finally showed up and found the two downstairs units to be broken and he left a space heater. The general structure of the home inside and out is in disrepair. It is a very nice space where the owner really needs to reinvest for it to be worth what is charged. But we still had a good time even if we had to wear our puffy jackets indoors the first day.

Spent Thanksgiving here and it was perfect. 2 families and Grandparents fit nicely. Great beach access right out front. House was clean and perfect for families with kids. Thank you.

We loved the layout of the house. Especially having the pool table in the main area. Also loved all the balconies. The beds were comfortable and clean. Great access to the beach and town.

Super easy process

The house was great, you can reach the beach easily. Nice comfy mattress’s. The host was great.

This house was perfect for all of my family who came together and enjoyed the company and beautiful beach. The house was fully supplied from kitchen accessories to towels, beds , and entertainment. The pool table was a big hit also the big tub to relax the only thing was the jets didn't work but the soak was great. Nice location and the beach access was a hop skip and a jump away. We all loved it . We will rent again for next reunion.

Perfect place for a family stay or reunion

We had a great stay at Sandy Bottoms! There were 12 of us and the place was very spacious and so close to the beach. We definitely want to go back!

Easy to rent, close to beach. Could not reach property manager when we had a question- no one answered and no way to leave a message. Lights in game room didn’t work - need new fluorescent bulbs.

This was a great house for all of us. While it is near the beach, there is a large sand dune between the house and ocean, which we were aware of. You can’t see the ocean from the house. The beach, which was gorgeous, was only a short walk from the house. We enjoyed quite a bit of time on the beach. The location was great and close to most places we wanted to visit on this trip. The kitchen was well set-up and we enjoyed most of our meals at the house. Beds were very comfortable! The location was great because it was in a quiet neighborhood and sleeping was easy with no noise. There were only small concerns: the backyard was not pet friendly but we didn’t have pets with us. The backyard was overgrown and part of the fence was down and there is no gate; the bedroom on the first floor had a pocket door that didn’t seem to work - we tried to pull it closed but it wouldn’t budge and we didn’t want to force it; the pool cues were older and probably needed new tips (according to others in our group) but a number of pool games were still enjoyed; there is a chess table and when chairs were moved to sit down at that table, the floors had not been cleaned underneath but the rest of the house was clean. These really were minor and did not impact our stay at all. Lots of games available to play but we were too busy and the game room light didn’t work well at all. The biggest issue we had (again, minimal impact) was no blinds on the windows in the main living area. This made evening meals at the dining room table a little uncomfortable depending on the sunset. Regardless, we would stay here again. We would recommend this house if you have a large group with lots of kids. There is only one room that has a queen bed and en suite so additional adults would be sleeping in bunk bed rooms. Again, that didn’t bother us at all and the bedroom setup is disclosed in the listing. There is a bathroom on each of the three floors and that was really great. The house was decorated nicely.

Gorgeous property, ideal location, wonderful hosts. This house has everything you need for a the perfect beach getaway with family and/or friends!!! We had such an amazing stay, Highly recommended!!!!
