Charming Cottage in Stunning Waterfront Setting
The Cottage at Washington Harbour se encuentra en una laguna natural de agua salada junto al Estrecho de Juan De Fuca a unos 2, 5 millas al este de Sequim. Ubicado en un refugio de vida silvestre privado de 190 acres, un paraíso para observadores de aves, kayakistas y amantes de la naturaleza. This was the second time we stayed at this wonderful place. The cottage itself is so comfortable with everything you can possibly need. Extremely clean. Huge yard and the setting on the inlet is private and beautiful. We were entertained by all the bird life, especially the eagle pair. Deborah is a wonderful host.

Cottage on a private reserve facing a lagoon lying outside of Washington Harbor. Stunning landscape as the tide rolled in and out. Geese and their babies, blue herons, king fishers, bald eagles, hummingbirds on the front deck, and an occasional otter. Beautiful sunsets, Mt. Baker on the horizon, peace and tranquility. All the comforts of home. Attention to detail most rentals miss. Attended the annual Irrigation Festival. What a great community event. Our host, Deborah, was attentive yet so respectful of our privacy. The entire experience will draw us back again. Wonderful, wonderful!

The cottage has a nice location on the lagoon for watching birds and wildlife from the wonderful sun room. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking.

This lovely little home is set right on the tidal marsh lands. Ducks, gulls, tiny birds and immature bald eagles, hummingbirds (right outside our windows) visited us. It is peaceful and spectacular. Quiet except for the bird calls. The clean home is cozy, the beds extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with quality cookware. The enclosed area for watching the birds was absolutely perfect. Great hikes in the Dungeness Nature Reserve, Marymere Waterfall, Crescent Lake. A magical place, even with the rain and overcast skies.

This is our 2nd stay here. It’s the perfect spot to stay in Sequim. Really. So private, so gorgeous, but also really close to downtown Sequim. We spent time hiking/sightseeing & eating in Port Ludlow, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Crescent Lake, too many nice spots to name!! The place is immaculate, furniture, bed, linens, pillows, etc - all very comfortable, clean & cute. The deck has the most amazing view & you feel as if you have the bay to yourself. We loved being out & about all day, coming back to a drink on the deck chairs and enjoying a quiet, serene, relaxing evening. The house is small. It’s just my husband & I, so it’s perfect. I would say this isn’t the house for large groups/families. Owner immediately responds & check out was very easy. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time at the Burrowes cottage. The best was looking out at Mt. Baker with the snowfall at sunrise! Everything we needed was there, plus the wood fire made everything cozy. We took advantage of the great location and made our way to Dungeness Spit the first day. The 2nd day we just hiked along the trail near the house - the bird life was amazing at low tide! We hope to return next year.

Peaceful location but right next to a dairy farm. In addition, I was charged an additional $60 for a pet fee after checking out even though the listing had NO mention of a pet fee.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful cottage. We loved the silence, the birdsong, the constantly changing light, the magnificent trees, and the cozy home. It is so well furnished and stocked, we even found Dijon mustard in the fridge! Absolutely perfect.

We are so impressed with the cottage and the secluded lagoon that is full of great birds. We watched a pair of eagles, herons, kingfisher and so many others.

This is a very special location. Quiet and beautiful with easy access to walking along the beach. We enjoyed the wild life and bird watching from the sun room. The cottage is cozy and fully equipped. We love to cook and found the kitchen to be well appointed. It had everything we needed!

This is a beautiful cottage on a very picturesque bay. Our dog, a lab, loved playing in the yard. We were also able to take her to the private beach on the owner’s property where she could play in the water. We loved our stay so much we have scheduled another visit this winter. Can’t wait to sit in the sunroom, chat with my spouse, and watch the birds and boats go by.

we met the owner as she was leaving and she stopped and gave us lots of great information. The house was just perfect in every way. Her attention to every detail was amazing! This was the best VRBO experience we have had! It's the little things like lovely sheets, great directions, a kitchen that offered everything you needed and everything was in perfect condition. We did not want for anything more! Beautiful spot and great location!

This was a perfect vacation rental in a very scenic location. It was quiet and peaceful with good access to wilderness areas on the Olympic Peninsula. The cottage was super clean and very well furnished and supplied.

The cottage and setting were absolutely perfect. The location was convenient for our eastern Olympic National Park visit. We were delighted with several Sequim restaurants that are quite close. The cottage was immaculate. The location is on a quiet dead end street and allows you to enjoy nature all around. The beautiful flowers on the deck provided a frequent stop for many hummingbirds each day. We sat on the porch each day and watched the area birds including a bald eagle. Our only regret is we did not book the location longer. We will be back again. Thank you.

Very quiet. Accommodations comfortable. I like that the house has new appliances, and not a lot of personal items being “stored” at the VRBO. Some places have too much unneeded stuff in the house. Minimal extra chores.

The cottage sits on a magnificent lagoon. The grounds and water are home to wildlife a plenty. The cottage is well appointed, cozy and homey. Private beach access for beach combing. You cant help but relax and find your zen. I'll be back.

This is probably the nicest and most unique VRBO
property we have ever stayed in . Incredibly beautiful surroundings, anchored by the lagoon. Landscaping, interior decorating, creature comforts, convenience to points of interest, are all top notch. Coffee in the cool morning on the deck overlooking the lagoon, Sequim Bay, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the glistening snowy slopes of Mt Baker, is fairly mindblowing. It’s very relaxing and ultra/quiet at the least. Gracious, accommodating host. Looking to return in summer 2024.

This was our fifth stay at the cottage, and it always feels like coming to a secret hideaway. The property is private with beautiful views of the water, boats cruising by, and a wide variety of wildlife. This visit we saw otter, bald eagle, hundreds of Canadian geese nestled in the lagoon, endless shorebirds, and a couple of young deer. Whether you are looking to spend a day in Victoria, explore Olympic National Park, or just relax in the sunroom - this is the perfect home base. The home itself is comfortable, impeccably clean, and well maintained. Be sure to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich at Adagio, dine at the Dockside Grill at the marina, and grab a burger and fries at Granny’s Cafe on the way to Crescent Lake!

This is our third stay here…love this house. Deborah is the ultimate hostess and this house is so clean, so comfortable, and the view of the herons and bald eagles is unbelievable. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal in, yet you’re close to Sequim if you want to dine out. We made reservations again at Nourish, which I highly recommend. Sunny Farms Country Stores has the best meat and produce if you want to stay at home and enjoy the view and peace and quiet! We will be back…
