Interesting and unique staying in the log cabin. Off the beaten path, hard to find in the dark.
The beds were good, place was warm and inviting.
Problems; mouse dropping in the mornings were seen, towels and wash cloths needed replacing, not to clean and the host left something to be desired. Our least favorite of the vrbo’s we stayed,

Very easy to communicate with the owner by phone. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, visited Biltmore Estates and Wheels Through Time while there. Follow GPS to the address but also get explicit directions from Mr Conway.
It's a tight squeeze for more than 4 adults. Advise you to bring a blow up mattress for another 2 people.

Very beautiful place and clean property owner was wonderful to deal with.

The cabin is very charming and clean, lots of antiques. Larger than expected. Four adults were comfortable. Two full size bedrooms upstairs, you have to walk thru one bedroom with a half-bath to get to the other bedroom with a full bath. There is also a full bath downstairs. Mr. Conway was very nice and accommodating. we enjoyed sitting on the porch and talking to him, as we had invited him. Being an older cabin, the bedrooms were not cooling as much as we liked, so he brought us two new fans that really made a difference. The only thing we had to purchase was our own bath soap as that is not included.

Great weekend getaway!
This was our 1st experience with a Vrbo. Mr. Conway was very patient and helpful in answering all of our questions, he also checked to make sure we found everything to our liking! We found the home to be clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. Air conditioning and hot water/pressure 100% The campfire is nice and there is plenty of wood/firestarters. The location is close to Cherokee and there are several restaurants within a 5mi radius. My husband loved the ice cream shop in town! (Jack the Dipper) We enjoyed having chats on the front porch, watching chimpmunks and squirrels playing. If you’re a cat lover, hopefully you can meet the neighbors bobtail kitty & don’t forget to leave your name in the guestbook! Thanks so much! We will definitely be back ❤️

Peaceful and Relaxing
We had a wonderful time. Home was cozy and comfortable. There were 7 in our party and we in no way felt crowded. Kids love the rope outside to pull themselves up the mountain. They had more fun at the cabin than sight seeing. The adults enjoyed the quiet and the view. It was awesome. Owner was very sweet and helpful. Agree with one of the reviews pictures don't do home justice. Nicer in person. I hope to return soon.

Wonderful Stay
We took our family here to get away from the beach area and a place to just get away. We went during Easter weekend and the property manager was amazing. Everything you pretty much can think of that you need is there. The property is a short drive from downtown Waynesville. We saw tons of waterfalls and elk in the area.

10/10 would highly recommend staying here. The pictures do not do this place justice. It's much more beautiful than the pictures express! The views are amazing. The cabin is spacious. The table was perfect for family style dinners. The owner was amazing and checked in on us. It was a home away from home! Convient to anything one could need or go do! It did rain while we were there and sitting on the porch listening to it hit the roof was super calming. Just rocking and relaxing!! We did not end up using the fire pit but we did go sit down there. Had the weather been better we would have sat! The owner stocked a nice pile of fire wood for us to use!

Girls Weekend
This cabin was perfect for a girls weekend! Mr. Conway was a wonderful host and met us at the cabin when we arrived. He was so helpful and accommodating! He realized we were a group of women and was even kind enough to text us to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there. The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. Next time we are planning a trip we will definitely be back!

We were greeted by the owner with a beer in his hand, no mask and quite rudely asked to read the house rules. The furnishings in the cabin were old and dirty, nobody wanted to sit down. Working in healthcare, I was very concerned the people staying in the cabin were expected to clean it upon leaving, especially during these times. This does not build confidence it has been completed properly. The property states it can sleep 7 people. We had intended to be a group of 4 but my daughter was also able to come with us, I did not think this would be an issue as the description states sleeping room for 7. The owner was only prepared to sleep 4 people there and was nice enough to add a bed, however it was a blow up bed. Not really ideal.Everybody felt very uncomfortable in this property and the surroundings. We at that time decided to leave and find other accommodations. I did let the owner know and we heard nothing back from him. I did read the property reviews before booking and wondered if they were reviewing the same property.

Wonderful cabin with a wonderful host
The host was amazing and very accommodating even prior to my stay. Upon arrival he was helpful and kind. The cabin was because and homey, when we woke the next morning we all couldn’t help but stop and stare at the beautiful Mountain View. If you are looking to book this home I would recommend booking it now before someone else gets your cabin vacation you’ll talk about for weeks!

Nice Space In A Beautiful Place
My wife and I loved the house we rented in Waynesville. The house was well kept and convenient to the highway from which we drove in, which made it easy to go visit the nearby sites. There were plenty of grocery stores within a few minutes drive to stock up for the week. Most importantly, the owner, Mr. Conway, made us feel welcome and free to call him with any potential issues. In fact, he came at a moment's notice when we had a bulb burned out on the back porch. If you rent this place and don't use the firepit and the ample supply of wood Mr. Conway provides, you've missed a real treat. We'd rent this one again on any future visit to the area.

Looking at the pictures, reading the reviews and the listing description, I expected rustic, clean and the feeling of seclusion. Upon arrival we found rustic but not clean or the feeling of seclusion. After we did our initial walk through and paid the cleaning deposit, we began to look closer at things and decided we could not stay there without additional cleaning. The stove, refrigerator and grills were not clean. There was aluminum foil under the stove burners that had a lot of grease from previous uses. The oven had not been cleaned in some time so it had grease build up in several places. The refrigerator door seal was mildewed in places and the refrigerator had not been wiped out from previous use. The grill surfaces on both the charcoal and gas grills had not been cleaned in quite a long time and the bottom of the charcoal grill was rusted through. In addition, there was a jug of soap or oil under the counter that had spilled or leaked and had not been cleaned up, the dressers and other surfaces upstairs had not been dusted in a while and the couches and chairs downstairs were quite worn or threadbare in several places. The bathrooms did appear to be clean and recently refurbished. While the view from the front porch was scenic when looking at the horizon, most of the view was dominated by the neighbor’s house. The fire pit looked great in the listing pictures but in reality, appeared to more a part of the neighbor’s yard than belonging to this cabin. The pictures in the listing also suggested that the 2 bedrooms were separate from each other but in reality, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom so neither is really private. We called Mr. Conway and said we had issues with several areas not being clean. He returned quickly however when we pointed out our issues in the kitchen and with the grills, he did appear to see what we saw. In the end he did not argue with us and gave us our money back except the VRBO fees and we left.

Good Location to Enjoy Waynesville and Lake Junaluska
I rented this property for a few family members and a friend, for a wedding at Lake Junaluska. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy the firepit, which would have been nice. The pictures and description of the beds and how they were situated was a little misleading. Luckily everyone that stayed there got along extremely well, and made it work. Overall, they seemed to have a great stay.

Peaceful, quiet stay
We stayed for a week to get away from Florida and relax. We had a wonderful time. The owner was readily available if we had questions or needed anything. Cabin is conveniently located to Blue Ridge Pkwy, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would definitely stay again.

Bugs in the kitchen
When we arrived the owner met us there and had us do a walk through before he took our balance due plus the cleaning fee. We stayed the first night but when we went to make coffee the next morning there were roaches in the silverware drawer. We called the owner and left a voice-mail about why we were leaving. He never contacted me again. I have rented many cabins over the last 8 years and have never encountered this issue. The owner is nice when you meet him but his voice-mail greeting is very rude. This was the most unprofessional rental I have ever encountered. The view from the front porch is okay. The beds slept fine. The furniture in the living room is pretty old but the roaches in the silverware drawer was more than we could handle.
