Beautiful historic property located within walking distance of downtown Manitou. Creek runs right by the property adding that special sound. Great place will definitely be staying there again.

Blocks from downtown on a road that's easy to walk. Beautiful house. I mean... OMG. The AC and heat were really strong. Beds were super comfy. I couldn't complain if I wanted to.

We chose the property due to its location. We have a number of guests with health issues and wanted to be within walking distance of the shops. Upon arriving we found that there was no automobile entry, as the city was pouring a sidewalk in front of the driveway. Upon notifying one of the owners, they stated they were unaware of the issue, however another owner was on premises when we arrived, so obviously was aware we would not be able to park on site, however we were not notified. We had to park at a hotel next door and carry our bags and groceries to the house. The only access was through a very narrow gap between a privacy fence and a garage. Needless to say, very trying for a group of older folks with health issues. Had we been previously warned or had there been anything available for day-of arrival, we would have made other arrangements, but neither was the case. I was refunded a paltry $50 per night by the owners, which was truly insufficient based on the excess trouble, stress, and initial rate. The home itself is adequate with a nice outdoor space, once one has made the trek on to the property.

The location of the house was perfect for just about everything we wanted to go see and do on our trip. The house was so comfortable and fit us comfortably. Thanks so much!

My group of friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs, which was really nice since parking there can be impossible sometimes. The house was amazing. A historic treasure, for sure. The accommodations were comfortable, and the house well laid out for a larger group. Here are the negatives: The house could have been a bit cleaner. Just needed a little extra TLC in that department. Several of the lamps were either broken altogether, or the light bulbs were burnt out. It would have been nice to have working lamps in the more common areas. There are TV's in every room, but it's a system that's hard to figgure out. It's all streaming, but we couldn't figure out out to get most of the TV''s to work. We finally got the one in the front "parlor/living room" to work, but either the batteries were no good in most of the remotes, or the correct remotes were not in the right rooms. Even with the one TV we could get to work, we had to manually change the channels, and work the volume, on the TV itself. None of the remotes worked. This could be remedied by making sure the right remotes are in the right rooms, the batteries work, and the instructions for working the TVs are better explained in the guide book for the house. Overall, these are minor things, and our stay was lovely. The house is great! We would definitely stay there again.

We had four bucks in velvet come in every evening for photographs. The house was close to to the old town and an easy walk. Very close to may attractions. With being from Texas we were happy to see that the upstairs had central A/C. Back deck was great every evening for eating out. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Location is perfect to access everything Manitou offers. House is beautiful! Patio is amazing. I'd recommend it for any large group. Very charming.

Everything was great. The house is about a 5 minute walk to town, probably a good thing since you do not have to deal with traffic. Construction in front of the house right now. Property manager was very responsive!

This historic home has tons of character and all the amenities that you need for a great stay. The owner was quick to respond with great information to our random questions. Will definitely stay there again if in the area.

I did notice a few cobwebs, dust under the beds, and some utensils left dirty in the drawer-- just a heads up for less forgiving tenants. I understand that this is a large property to maintain and I appreciate the effort to make each room homey and inviting.

There is plenty of room for multiple guests and this location is ideal for multiple families! I love the location...we traveled to this home right after Colorado opened back up. The downtown area is great for shopping and relaxing. Cannot wait to return.
