Quaint and historical character home.

Great location for walking and exploring around the city. Parking was convenient. The house was spacious and comfortable with lots of great artwork and homey touches. We would not hesitate to rebook if we were to come back for a visit.

We were very happy with this home. A main floor bathroom would make it 5 +.

We enjoyed this large well furnished townhouse. Very clean. Nice artworks. Good kitchen facilities. Stocked with the basics and some extras we enjoyed meals there. Top quality stainless steel carving and paring knives but badly needed sharpening and we didn't find one. Nice and close to the waterfront. St John's is a horrible place to drive a car! No street signs to speak of. The few intersections with traffic lights usually have only one on a post at the left side.

You have a beautiful B& B. It was very comfortable. I have pictures of an oven that was so dirty someone had to come in and clean it so as it could be used. BBQ not usable. Many items in fridge way beyond due date. Big stain on sofa. If you want the pictures I can send them. Overall we were comfortable and hopefully the cleaner does a better job of cleaning for your next guests.

I can't express how much I enjoyed my stay at this property. The pictures and description are a perfect match--if anything, it was even more comfortable in person. The location was idea in terms of proximity to all the downtown fun of St. John's, but just slightly away enough to be quiet and peaceful when I wanted that retreat. Then it was out the door in the morning for more fun. I may be strange in that I cook a lot on vacation, and the kitchen was comfortable with everything I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub a few times after taking long hikes out on the North Head. Everything was well lit and comfortable. Full disclosure--I'm a writer, so I had all my own activities to occupy myself, and I didn't try out the entertainment, but everything seemed very well explained in the guidebook. I had anticipated going out a lot to write in coffee shops as I do at home, but it was so nice at the house that I ended up staying there much more, and that's a huge compliment. I would like to be able to come up to Newfoundland again in the coming years, and I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Top marks.

We spent approximately three months in this house and from the very first day, we found everything we could ask for. It felt like home to us. The house was immaculate, with amazing facilities, games, and equipment, as well as an abundance of snacks. The location was superb, and every day was a pure joy. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had the best time at this property. We found it to be extremely comfortable, clean and very well equipped. We had everything we needed for a great visit to St. John's. We could not believe our good fortune at being able to stay and such a lovely place and it felt like home every time we came in. We can't stop telling everyone about this property and hope to come back again and would encourage anyone looking for a rental to grab this location. Property manager was great also in handling a minor issue and it was taken care of immediately.

The new house is immaculately clean and close to downtown. It is very well equipped and has everything you needed. The host is very responsive and accommodating. I can say this is our home away from home. Thank you, Doug and Marie, 😊

This property is an absolute gem. We have stayed here 3x and everything is perfect, it feels like coming home every time. House is extremely well equipped, is cozy and in a perfect location, within walking easy walking distance of downtown. The owners and property manager are extremely responsive and accommodating, couldn't ask for anything more and wish every VRBO stay was like this. Booked our 4th stay before we even left this time. Thank you Beth, Doug & Marie, can't wait to come back to our 'home away from home'! <3

Great, well equipped house. Has EVERYTHING we needed and more! Plenty of room for us four adults. Host communicated well in advance with all the information we needed for access and rules. Would highly recommend this house.

Prime location for exploring downtown St Johns!! Parking on the street is a bit tight for a truck. Great stay!!

Clean and spacious. Well appointed and close to downtown. Can’t go wrong.

Convenient location to many places. We had expected queen-sized beds, they were two double beds. But, the beds, linens, and pillows were very comfy. The two bathrooms are very basic, with the one on the top floor really just a half bath because I wouldn't want to use the soaker tub (jets looked very grungy). Fairly quiet neighborhood. Extremely limited TV channels. Very responsive owners. Parking out front worked very well, except for the construction out front when we stayed there June 18 to 21

Property was amazing, living like a local! Everything was available in the house! Cute amazing atmosphere! The beds were only doubles, so sharing a bed was tight! Only negative!

This is a great little property for short or long term stays. We stayed for 8 days. Property was very clean and had everything needed. ( only recommendation would have been to have more laundry detergent and dish washing detergent, both bottles were empty) There was plenty of Tea and in many varieties but no coffee for the percolator so take note if arriving at night and you want coffee in the morning bring some. Im not a tea drinker so was disappointed in the morning, but went out and bought a bag the next day so very minor inconvenience. There are many books and games available, and I very much enjoyed Alan Doyle’s book, highly recommend the read. MooMoo’s handmade ice cream is across the street, open Fri-Sun only. Excellent ice cream. We used both out door decks when we got nice weather. There is a fill 6 seat table out back and 2 Adirondack chairs and a BBQ, we never used the BBQ so unsure it it works. If you like TV especially sports you may be disappointed as there were only a few channels that worked. As my BellTV is available on my ipad we watched on our personal device, but were a bit disappointed in the limited programming. You can use the remote to get to Netflix and Prime if you have an account, you just have to login with your own details. As mentioned there were only minor inconveniences and they did not affect our enjoyment of the property. I would recommend this location. Within walking distance of anything you need downtown.

Unfortunately, there were dust bunnies on the living room floor and around the edge in the front bedroom (I didn't check the main bedroom as my daughter, husband and son used that since there was a futon there for him). Sadly, the jacuzzi was dusty and jets were dirty. It would have been great if we could have used it especially after a day of hiking. So, all 5 of us used the shower in the second washroom. Also, the sink in that same washroom does not drain well. Please note that the paint in the front bedroom is peeling and the curtain rod is not supported in the middle. The closets with the extras are rather disorganized. Dishwashing liquid dispenser was almost empty and there wasn't another bottle. The same with the tissues. Half-empty box with no extras. It is a lovely property. I thought these comments will help with the maintenance. Thank you

Well placed to explore and enjoy St. John's.

Exceeded my expectations. Great location and amenities. Very cozy! I will highly recommended to my friends and family. Only concern would be with larger people and persons with mobility issues. No main floor washroom and very small beds.

Great stay for month of Jan. Within walking distance to all we needed. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped home.
