Location is very good. There are two very large table (one in the kitchen and one outside) suitable for 8 adults. Kitchen is very usable (plenty of plates, glasses, silverware etc). Communication with owner was good as well.

The twin townhomes were perfect for our family of 12! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Laundry machine on site is awesome! Garage, house, etc just as described. Owners responded to inquiries very quickly. House is literally 100 feet from the beach. 10 min to SeaWorld; walking distance to dozens of restaurants, Belmont part and pier. Would definitely stay again!

Our extended family stayed several nights and thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the home - centrally located kitchens, family rooms and well furnished patios. Plenty of space for the adult kids to spread out and lots of restaurants to walk to - although we ate several meals in together as well and used the BBQ. Just a hop to the beach and very close to the bay as well. Very fun stay!

I would not recommend the property to families with children under 5 due to the number of stairs and the railings that have large gaps between that my 18m old could easily fit through.

Absolutely loved the space this property provided us and the location was wonderful!! We had 3 families of 4 and had plenty of room for the kids and the adults. The upper rooms did get a little warm but the fans did help with that. This is our 2nd year doing a San Diego fall break trip and we all agreed the location and space were a definite plus!! The added beach gear the owners provide was very helpful as well! Would stay again!

This was a family vacation. We have 3 married children and 6 grandkids. It’s a great location for a beach vacation. We would start in the morning at the beach go back to the house for lunch. The young kids would take naps while the others would head back to the beach. Each individual family had their own private space. There is plenty of room for everyone to gather for games etc. We enjoyed meals on the large tables outside on the front deck where we could see an hear the ocean. The house was very clean and easy to access.

This is a great property if you have a large group. We ended up have 13 adults and 4 kids staying here. It was great having 2 living rooms, kitchens etc. Easy for getting meals done and spots for the kids to hang out. Beach was a few steps away and plenty of chairs and toys for kids and adults. Parking was a breeze with 2 garages and in front of the garages. Boardwalk and street had plenty of dining and drinking options. Having washers and dryers was a bonus. House was a bit dated and could probably use a deep cleaning. The outside deck was great to have breakfast or dinner on. All in all, it is a great place for large families.

Views of the beach from the Patio!
This was a great property. It has a great layout for groups and families. We had both units, side-by-side and it fit 4 families with all ages of kids very comfortably! Everything worked great. Parking in the garage and on-street was a definite bonus! Great property, and the Owners were great, easy to work with, and checked in on us during our stay.
We loved being just 1/2 block from the patio to the beach, made it so convenient to run back and forth with the kids, and beach toys, chairs, etc. Plus they’ve got a ton of chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc. for use.
We’d definitely stay here again!

For 11k a week, I was not wowed
Family of 18. Excellent proximity to the beach. The house is old and needs work. Carpeting smells and the wood floors are filthy. Anyone wearing white socks turned brown from the dirt. Small appliances, dishware and utensils looked like they were from Goodwill. Not enough of dishes for 18 people. Not sure everything was washed before we checked in. The owners were as nice as could be, but I have to be honest so people know beforehand what to expect.

The property really fits our family needs well. Parking in the two garages is also a plus. Being close to the beach is also important. This is our third time here and look forward to staying there again.

Narrow stairs
The stair’s coming up from the living room to the kitchen are very very narrow to put your foot on. Our oldest son and myself slipped on them which he hurt the top of foot pretty seriously. Thank goodness our youngest sons wedding was over. He is still dealing with the pain. It would also be a good idea if you could put some lighting on them. I had to go down them sideways for the fear of falling.
The toilet paper roller was broken when we arrived.

Loved this place
We stayed here with four families all with younger kids and it was perfect! Perfect distance to the beach and in a great neighborhood. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. It was nice to have a lot of beach toys and chairs available as well. Kitchens or adequately stocked too. Thanks for a great stay!

It’s a great location for a family gathering. The space was clean and roomy. It’s walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars. The beach is a block away. I thought being that close it might be noisy, but it was very quiet. The check in and out process was easy and the host was great.

Awesome spacious property steps from Mission Beach
Our alumni group meet up every other year, and it is hard to find a place with space for ten singles who don't want to share a bed :) This two-unit rental was perfect, with lots of space and multiple bedrooms with single beds. Fully equipped kitchen and BBQ (great tools, two kitchens with large frigs ... really great), a back deck where we could all sit together, and a large TV for March Madness ... yes, being played nearby. We had a wonderful time, and it was easy to rent, easy to get into, and clear instructions on what we needed to do to clean up. Five stars in all of our ratings!

Property was in a great location! Maybe a 200 ft walk to the beach, many restaurants, bars and groceries within walking distance. Quiet area but still social. Owners were very responsive and polite. Christmas Vacation with Family
Ciara and Barry's Mission Beach House was a fantastic location for our family Christmas gathering. Check in process and communication with Ciara was easy and responsive. The perfect amount of rooms and beds for our individual families attending. We loved being 100 feet from boardwalk / beach, making easy access for our activities. One of our favorite activities, my sister hired JT from SanDiego SandCastles. JT met us at the beach by the house to teach 9 kids (ages 4-13) how to build sandcastles that were as tall if not taller then most of the kids. The bikes in the garage were perfect for cruising for late night tacos, going to the grocery or liquor store for additional supplies. Having two kitchens made it easy to cook meals for us all. The large tables in the kitchen were great for our nightly euchre tournaments. We would definitely stay again!! Thank you Ciara & Barry!

Perfect for a family gathering
We had a great experience and a wonderful family celebration staying at this home. The location was great and it had the perfect amount of bedrooms that we needed. Each side of the home was a little more narrow than we expected and the stairs were a little steeper than the pictures show. I was only paying close attention to this detail because of the grandparents with us. We were very close to the beach, stores and restaurants. Having the garage was great too! We’d stay again!! The owners were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.

Great location, nice hosts, house is not in great shape
Overall we had a great stay - the location can't be beat, and Ciara was kind and responsive. The space was perfect for our large group (two families of four, plus grandparents), lots of room and a great use of space. But it's a 4 star (almost a 3 star) because the house needs some serious attention. The oven and coffee maker on one side was broken, the trim on on of the mirrors in the bathroom had fallen off, one of the bunkbeds had missing slats, and the umbrella I grabbed for the beach was completely broken... I could go on, the house is not well cared for. A little attention to some of the spaces could make this an outstanding rental.

Great Stay
Hosts were great and allowed us to get in early. House has a number of stairs that need to be climbed between rooms - no issues with our group but folks having trouble getting up and down stairs or little ones may have difficulties navigating the house. Overall, we had an amazing stay. Thanks for the memories!
