Excellent property and wonderful host

The condo was everything and more that we could have asked for. Two lanais, one in the sun, one in the shade. Views of the ocean from both sides. Laundry, 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen. I have only one suggestion: The downstairs bedrooms was very warm and we couldn't cool it down. I think that is because it faces south, getting the most heat, and the door is the only opening so it doesn't get much exposure to the cool air coming from the upstairs air conditioner, despite having all fans on.

We arrived very late at night so I was thankful that Mary had sent me detailed information on retrieving the key from the lockbox. The condo was very clean and very well stocked. The only thing missing was a packet coffee for our first morning. However, we had a great breakfast and coffee at Kai across the street. The only thing I would suggest is to leave instruction on how to turn on the tv and where to put recycling. Mary was fantastic to deal with and always answered my questions very promptly. The location of this condo was spot on and we had some great views. I would definitely recommend this condo to others. Mahalo!

Property had a really nice pool and the unit had coolers, beach chairs, towels, and snorkeling gear which was great! Very open floor plan and most of all, the location was awesome! Step out of the building and you had restaurants, shops, and farmers market within 5 minutes walking distance. Bathrooms on the main floor a little outdated but clean and was a huge plus to have 3 of them for our family of 4. Definitely would stay again!

Good location. Condo was well supplied. Walking distance to many restaurants. The hamburgers next door at the “Island Ono Loa grill” were the BEST! We had them 4 different times during our month stay.

I love this location. You basically walk out the building and have restaurants and views all around you. A few nights the noise from the restaurants or people from the restaurant were noisy quite late into the night but given the location that is not surprising. Mark and Mary have done an amazing job at updating&decorating and keeping the condo supplied. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely book again! Thanks Mark and Mary for sharing your home!! Oh and the beds are very comfortable too!! And the roof top deck is amazing for morning coffee!!!

I surprised my best friend with a Hawaii trip for her birthday. Thankfully Mark & Mary's place was available and perfect for the occasion. The parking, location, layout, amenities, household supplies / appliances, cookware with utensils, beach supplies, toiletries, and other novelties were all perfect. Everything you may think you'll need for a Hawaii vacation, Mark & Mary had it. There were even 2 sets of house keys. The sun screens (spray and lotions) available to use if you forgot to bring some was another plus. Our entire 9 day stay was fabulous. The only down part is that there was a very bad storm while there and the winds were blowing so hard I thought the windows were going to shatter. I'm a So-Cal girl who's not used to extreme weather like that. I thought it was a hurricane...My bestie said that was nothing (she's from Tennessee so she knows extreme weather). As a result of the high winds, a tree fell and knocked down power lines near by and caused a 2 hour or so blackout. Thank God for the emergency/safety equipment in the cabinet (batteries, heavy-duty flash lights, candles, matches, so on), we were prepared. Anyway, Mark & Mary's condo is located in the village and is on the top floor. The upstairs bedroom/loft has a lanai with great mountain and ocean views. The upstairs shower is another oasis. It was great to shower after a long day of hiking and exploring. The property has a heated pool and it is very clean, relaxing, and huge. There are 2 BBQ grills and one of the grills have the side cooking area so that you can use to prepare other dishes. The noise level on the property is respectful. You only hear noise from the traffic and other village patrons enjoying their time if the lanai doors are open. I loved it (Hawaiian vacation vibes). There are plenty eateries, coffee shops, and bars just feet away so you have many food and libation options. The Farmers Market is less than a 10 minute walk which was another plus. You can get fresh fruit, vegetables, and coffee from local Kona growers. If you're looking to get away from Kona, Hilo is about an hour and 30 minute drive. There, you can visit lava tubes, black sand beaches, and rainbow falls to name a few places. Oh and for some good grindz or authentic hawaiian cuisine, try Kaaloa Super J's family restaurant in Captain Cook (try the pork laulau). Wonderful

We love this unit. We wanted to stay in August 2020 but COVID put a halt on that. Stayed this year half of July & all of August. Looking forward to August & half of September 2022 Mark & Mary have what we feel is the best condo in Kona.

We had a great experience. Easy check-in/out, condo was spacious and ideally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the views of the sunset every evening from the balcony.

We stayed here for a week and found it perfect for our needs. It is in a great location and has a wonderful view of both the mountains and the ocean. The condo itself is very clean and has everything you need. The tv’s are a bit confusing to work, but we got them working after a few days. The internet did not work while we were there, but it appeared the modem needed to be replaced. The beds were super comfy and the roof top sun deck is a great place to hang out and get some sun. It can be a bit noisy, but that’s to be expected since the condo is located right in the heart of the town. It really didn’t bother us at all. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and we will be back if possible!

We’ve stayed in Kailua Kona for a number of years at different properties, but we especially like staying in the Kona Allii property. This Condo is undoubtedly one of the best in the building and we hope we can stay there again in future visits. It’s a beautiful Condo, very roomy, has a great kitchen and is equipped with everything that we could wish for. We loved both the lanai and the private roof area and views from each. Also, having a car parking place under cover and therefore shaded from the hot sun, was appreciated. Hosts, Mary and Mark are very prompt and helpful in answering any questions.

We loved this property. It was in the heart of town with walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. Loved that we had an assigned parking spot so we never had to worry about parking. The fact that we had laundry and kitchen facilities was so helpful. Mark and Mary are great hosts!! See you guys soon.

We were just an elevator ride down to walking on the Kona waterfront. Condo was clean and had island decorations and furniture. Kitchen was newly remodeled as was upstairs loft bedroom and bathroom. We did not need the air conditioner as the winter trade winds blew through with the windows and sliding doors open or with the fans on. Beds were comfortable. Recommend you bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper as the noise from the downtown waterfront's street and restaurants can be heard.

Our stay here was excellent. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed (including a wok!) The location is right across from the ocean with a nice view to watch both the ocean and the passers by. Our communication with Mark and Mary was great. Any time we emailed them with a question, they were quick to respond. I would most definitely recommend staying here.
