Located 20 miles inland from Rockland Maine., we were in Heaven. Beautiful Lake, a well kept property, plenty of fish to catch and something to do in every Direction. I tried to book it again after the first day but it was already booked. We will be back again. The best vacation we have ever had!! Thank you Tump and Jean.

We have just returned to TN after a wonderful time in Waldoboro Maine. Our time on Medomak Pond was so serene and peaceful. We loved it! Our hosts, Tump and Jean were so helpful and very accommodating! Their home is very well equipped with everything one needs to be comfortable. There is even a lobster cooker in the garage! The beds are very comfortable and having AC was a relief for sleeping on hot nights, although for the most part was not necessary! It was wonderful to sit on the shaded deck and relax and watch the lake, catching a glimpse of eagles, ospreys and hearing the loon....watching a deer walk across the field. The fishing was excellent and we had many hours of fishing and catching and releasing. Large and small mouth bass, white perch, bluegill, and pickeral are all in there and we caught some big ones! Mid Coast Maine has so much to offer and while staying at Medomak House we were able to take a Puffin boat tour and go wild Maine blueberry picking....take hikes and go to the seacoast. We are totally satisfied with our stay at Medomak House and have signed up to stay next year. Thanks so much Tump and Jean. See you next year!

We had a wonderful week’s vacation at Jean and Tump’s beautiful Waldoboro, Maine home on Medomak Pond. Our hosts provided everything promised and could not have been more gracious or friendly. We vacation in a new area every year and agreed this property has been our all time favorite. Thank you and God bless!

Very kid friendly place with ocean beaches only 30 minutes away.

We stayed a week at this beautiful home and can't say enough good things about it. All the comforts of home, so well equipped and charming. The hosts are super friendly and very very helpful. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the pond, relaxing on the deck, and playing family board & card games in the cool evening breezes. Listing says sleeps 8 but only beds for 6 and no pull-out. However it was plenty of space for our family of 5. Super clean, quiet and just perfect for a week in Maine. Highly recommended!

This house was very well thought out and carefully stocked with everything you might need for your stay. Not to mention that it’s immaculate! Comfortable and plentiful seating, comfy beds/bedding. 1 1/2 baths. AC units in all bedrooms and living area. Manicured lawn and walkway to the beautiful lake with kayaks and a great float to sun on. The owners, Tump & Jeanne were lovely, down to earth people who were so gracious, kind animal lovers. The property is in a fabulous location too. It’s 20 minutes to Camden. 15 to Rockland. Lots to see and do. We will be back!

Had a great time enjoying the family and the pond. Centrally located to a number of tourist spots, hiking favorites and ocean view. Hosts very accommodating.

Wonderful hosts. Well maintained. Clean. The house could not be more kid friendly. Children enjoyed the beach for hours. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing.

My husband and 1 year old loved our time in this house! Beautifully redone house with everything you could need and more. The property is amazing, huge yard and lakefront beach. The boating was so much fun. I saw two bald eagles while kayaking. We will absolutely be back!!

We would come back. Our dog loved the water and yard. Would have liked a lobster pot at the house and one of the recommendations seemed out of business...Upper Crust (for coffee). But, overall a very relaxing week. Nice house. Accommodating owners. Lots to do in the area or just relax in the yard. Two thumbs up!

This is our third visit to The Medomack House. As always, the owner (Tump) is incredibly accommodating. We were expecting a winter storm so he brought over sleds for the 4 kids to use and made certain the generator was going to be operational in case the power went out. Thank you Tump for your hospitality.

We absolutely loved this house and the owners. Our three children had plenty of space to run, inside and out. The use of the paddle boat and kayaks were a huge hit. It was nice to travel to the nearby sights and come back to this house away from it all. The house is well equipped with everything you may needed; television, grill, pantry necessities, equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and a beautiful view!

Plenty to do outdoors, or Close to lots of sights to see. Good fishing in the pond and river. Very Clean and well kept. Wonderful Owners.

A perfect quiet spot for my wife and I and our 2 dogs. The large back yard, fields, and pond for swimming were great, except I didn't allow enough time for fishing! The home is very well kept, neat as a pin, and all amenities worked perfectly. Our 7 day stay went by very fast, and we do hope to return next year!

When I look back on my photo's of the Summer I took of my Family, the ones I cherish the most were taken at this location. We made so many great memories, from fishing, canoeing, running in the open field, playing ball, relaxing on the outside deck, making homemade ice cream, and visiting near by attractions. The house had everything we needed and then some. We have never rented a place that included so many amenities. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions before, during, and after our visit. We had Family members come to visit us while we were there and they couldn't believe how beautiful it was. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience what Maine has to offer in a clean, beautiful, and peaceful rental property. You won't regret it if you decide to rent this home.

Our family of 4 (mom, dad and 20 yr old twin girls) had the privilege of spending a week at this beautiful little farmhouse on Medomak Pond. The property was EXACTLY as described and had everything we could possibly need. We only used the TV once, but really appreciated the WIFI, laundry, dishwasher and icemaker :) The bedrooms were quaint and tastefully decorated, prettier than the photos! The owners were close by, but not bothersome...we enjoyed watching Tump hay the front yard :) Favorite days were spent at the lake, us girls tanning on the float, dad kayaking/fishing or sailing. Mornings were spent enjoying the glassfront of the house with coffee, afternoons in the shade of the deck. We saw a bald eagle and many loons. Our puppy had a blast and enjoyed Lily's morning visits! We found gluten-free pizza for our girls at the Publick House in Newcastle, but our favorite spot was Round Top Ice Cream in Damariscotta where we were frequent visitors :) We hope to return and would highly recommend this property, a wonderful family-and puppy-friendly getaway!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Medomack House. The house was nicely decorated, spacious and very clean. You would think since this cottage allows pets that it would not be in great condition but everything was in wonderful condition. My dogs really enjoyed hanging out in the very large backyard. All the staples are provided in the pantry including decaf coffee and regular coffee. I was surprised to find so many items in the pantry including Ziploc bags, we used a lot of those to bring food back home. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer so we would not be inundated with laundry when we returned home. FYI you must visit Broad Cove Marine for lobster. You can call them and place a lobster order and pick up and eat at home, about a 25 minute drive one way. The owners told us about this place and we loved it. Also, the owners live next door but are not at all obtrusive. There were maps of bordering towns, and maps of the entire state. We used those a lot to get around since cell service did not work for us. Just a really nice and affordable place to relax. Love the dock too, nice way to sun bathe and relax. Can't forget to mention the paddle boat we used a lot too and we really enjoyed the canoe too.

The location of this property was fantastic. My family and I had such a wonderful time, we celebrated my Mother's 70th birthday party here. The owner was very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to make this day special. There was plenty of room inside and outside for everyone to be comfortable. The back yard and front yard gave the kids all kinds of space to run off all of their energy!!! The lake was perfectly calm and quiet with all kinds of fun fish to catch. The amenities were all there, I never had to do without, and if there was something I needed, the owners were more than happy to help. And because of the location, we had the choice of playing on the lake, or playing by the ocean (Rockland/Camden) which was not very far to visit at all. Oh, and my advice? Make sure you get some LOBSTERS when you get there!!! My family also commented on what a great job I did finding this place!I would have to say, I couldn't ask for a better rental owners. I would highly recommend this property for anyone. I would be sure to come back here again.

We just got back from a one week stay at this property with our three kids, ages 6-10. We loved being right on the lake and having use of the boats. We alternated days between going to the ocean (40 min to Camden area beaches to the east, and about an hour and a half to Reid State Park,a more southerly beach with large enough waves for surfing) and just kicking around at the lake and going for local hikes. The house is clean and comfortable with charming details, and the beds and bedrooms are all very cozy. The huge shaded yard was great for the kids to run around in, and the view of the lake out back is gorgeous. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation and would definitely rent here again.

The cottage on Metomack Pond was perfect for our needs. The views of the pond from the house are stunning, and the pond and its inlet stream are flatwater canoeing paradise. Our city dogs were so happy they didn't know what to do with themselves. The house is less than 30 minutes from the coast, but frankly,we enjoyed our time inland more than our forays into the summer tourist frenzy of Camden. We did have a beautiful day bicycling on North Haven Island - a half hour drive to Rockland and a lovely hourlong ferry ride away. Our one rainy day was also fantastic. The beautiful pond view was the perfect backdrop for a lazy day of reading. The owners of the rental live next door and were wonderfully helpful, providing us with maps, backroad route suggestions, shopping tips, and any extra amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend this rental and hope we have an opportunity to return ourselves.
