Quiet & peaceful- just what we needed after a busy day in and around Acadia Nat’l park. Enjoyed “all the comforts of home” in a yurt nestled in the woods. This was our second time staying here and it was as special as the first time.

We had a great stay! Everything was so clean and comfortable and we were provided with everything we could need. We definitely recommend a stay here!

This place was a delight, the Yurt was the perfect place to recharge after hiking all day in Acadia. The Yurt was clean and cozy with all the essentials you could need provided, including some outdoor seating to enjoy the cool breeze. The location was fantastic, within a 20 minute drive to anywhere and within a 5 minute drive to some trailheads. Also bonus points because this place is dog friendly and our pup enjoyed the stay too.
I think the only complaint we have (which isn't within the owners control) is the noise. Unfortunately, the Yurt next to ours didn't respect quiet hours so we frequently heard them up to 11:30pm sometimes. In addition, there seems to be a gun range or something of the sort nearby and during the afternoons you can hear the shots ringing out. The owners do provide ear plugs to help muffle some of the noises.
Side note, you don't get to park near your yurt or tiny home during the stay, there is a communal parking lot for you to park in and then walk to your yurt/tiny home. This wasn't an issue but something I didn't see in my searching and reading up on the yurts, so just a heads up to future bookers.

As soon as we arrived at Acadia Yurts, we knew immediately that we had selected the perfect place to stay! The property is peaceful, pristine and enveloped in stunning nature. The yurt was AWESOME and an amazing experience for us and our pups! We loved coming back to the yurt after a full day of adventure in Acadia each day. The owners are so friendly and warm and have really cultivated a wonderful vibe at their property. We loved our stay!

We came for my 60th birthday and had a great time. The yurt was clean and had everything we needed. It was so quiet, so wonderfully quiet. We were lucky enough to be there for a couple of rainy nights and one very starry night--can you see stars from your bed? Every day we could walk our little dogs down the road and very quickly be inside Acadia. Do yourself a favor and book your own stay. You deserve the same peaceful experience we enjoyed.

Our stay at Acadia Yurts was top of the line. Four of us ventured to Maine/ Acadia for the first time and it was also our first time staying in a Yurt! Karen has done an incredible job at fusing the camping life and the regular BNB life in to one to create a true glamping experience. I met Karen on the property as she was passing by and she was so helpful in giving suggestions on where to eat that night. 10 out of 10 stay - cant wait to come back again!

Acadia Yurts was cozy, clean, quaint and provided a spacious Yurt for 2 adults and 2 dogs! The grounds are a perfect place for anyone looking to get away and stay in touch with nature. Karen and Aaron’s hospitality made our stay that much more enjoyable.

The place is just magical. Grounds are lovely- perfectly located! All the comforts of home-but still a camping feel. The hosts are super nice and helpful. While Acadia was beautiful- The Yurt was my favorite thing! Will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and book this yurt! Also treat yourself to a service at the wellness center. The sauna was great after hiking!

The yurt was described perfectly. Roomier then expected. Super clean. Supplied with everything you will need. Very quiet. If you do forget something you will most likely find it in the red barn. Owners are very accommodating. If we ever visit Maine again this will be our go to place. I would recommend to anyone.

My 8-yr-old son and I had a relaxing week at Acadia Yurts. Great location on other side of island. Facilities were nice, comfortable and quiet. Would recommend.

The most unusual and delightful place. Very roomy, exceptionally clean, a lot of well thought through spaces to spread your stuff, easy communication with the owners.
I highly recommend wellness center, particularly massage with Alexandra.
There is one note to be aware regarding Wi-Fi: we rented two yurts, we had reliable signal at Flying Mountain and less reliable signal at Sargeant Mountain.

My wife and 18 month year old son and I had a blast staying at Acadia Yurts! The drive to Acadia National Park was a quick 20-25 minutes, and when we returned from our adventures each day to the Yurt (sargent Mtn) we were so refreshed. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to make our own meals and relax. We also really enjoyed the area around the Yurt as our toddler loved exploring. It really felt like we were out in the woods yet we had many comforts of home. Would recommend staying here to anyone! The only problem at all we had was with poor cell phone service and slow wifi (but hey who needs internet when you are exploring nature!)

We had an absolutely lovely and serene stay at Acadia Yurts as our homebase for exploring Acadia! The yurt itself was the perfect size for me, my husband, and 5-year old. It was clean and had any amenities we needed in the yurt or in the shared barn (which we never utilized but it was nice to know things were there!). So nice to take a hot shower after a day of hiking!
The grounds were quiet and beautiful. I enjoyed my walks in the morning to our car to go down the road to grab coffee from the Milagro cafe!

Our first time staying at a yurt with our golden retriever. The place was clean and very comfortable. It has all the essentials and it’s very spacious. Also great location.

This was our third year back to Acadia Yurts! It is an amazing location and close to many hiking and biking trails. It is a great getaway for family and friends. Highly recommend!

My partner and I had an amazing stay here at Acadia Yurts!
The property itself was quiet and charming with just the right amount of wilderness. The yurt was clean, organized, and very well built/furnished. A beautiful stay with the starry night above us and the morning sunrises lighting the fall leaves bright. The check in and out process as well as the availability of the owners made everything a breeze. We enjoyed recommended local hikes that were as beautiful as the more popular trails. The wellness center is worth a visit as well (first time trying float therapy).

Very clean and unique experience. It’s on the “Quiet Side” of the island so a little bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and the most iconic sites at Acadia National Park, but not far too far to be inconvenient.
There is a small grocery store, liquor store, and gas station very near the yurt.

I was a little hesitant to consider staying in a YURT. My BF convinced be that it would very comfortable with all the amenities. I agreed and I am so happy we went! Karen and Aaron, checked in on us after our first night. The unit was clean and well-equiped. We will go back.

Karen and Aaron were absolutely incredible hosts and have a spectacular property. The yurt we were in was so cozy and well insulated with the chilly weather we had and had everything we needed for the week included. It was really nice to not have to stay in Bar Harbor and have a quiet retreat away from the hubbub, but still be close enough to go in every day for shopping and food.

We booked a week stay for my husband and I and our 2 dogs to hike in Acadia. The yurt exceeded our expectations. The property is very well taken care of, the yurt was very comfortable and we had a wonderful stay. The owners make everything about the stay easy. I have already recommended this location to friends. We will definitely plan to go back!

My husband, two daughters (ages 9 and 12), and dog had a great stay! We loved the location - close to Southwest Harbor, Echo Lake, and the hiking trails at the bottom of Long Pond. The yurt was very comfortable and we loved being close to nature, but with a bathroom and kitchen! We loved it. Thanks for a great week!

Aaron and Karen really have something special here. We loved every second we spent at the yurt and always looked forward to coming back after our daily activities. The yurt has everything you need and offers such a unique experience. We also took advantage of some of the wellness center offerings which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The location was ideal for us, far enough from the noise and people to feel disconnected but close enough to everything to be a convenient home base. I would absolutely recommend staying at the yurts for anyone interested in going to MDI.

This property was amazing. It was so fun to stay in and was much larger then I was expecting. Very very clean and conveniently located to everything. They provided everything down to the dish soap and a fresh new sponge. I can not recommend this place enough. If you’re going to Acadia area, stay in Acadia Yurts

Our stay at Acadia Yurts was a great experience. The accommodations were comfortable, peaceful, private, and close to everything. We enjoyed many hikes in Acadia and Bar Harbor is just a short distance away. Our dog loved staying here, too!

Nice first yurt experience
This was our first Yurt experience and we very much enjoyed it. Spacious, clean and quiet. Everything we needed for our stay in Southwest Harbor. A microwave would have been useful, but perhaps the layout of the yurt doesn't allow it. If you are looking for a restful and enjoyable place to stay while visiting Acadia this is a good choice.

Everything you need - home base
My friend and I had a great stay in mid may at Acadia Yurts. We had everything we needed. I honestly wish we spent more time relaxing at the yurt but went into bar harbor or stayed out hiking every day. It wasn't quite peak so a lot of places were closed, but we knew that ahead of time. If you want the sauna make sure to call ahead! We waited until a rainy day and it was booked the rest of the afternoon. Relaxing and clean home base.
