We stayed in May 2022...The home is CLEAN,COMFORTABLE, and the kichen has most everything you will need. The pool is great and the proximity tot he beach access was great too! Steve Summerfield NC

We had a wonderful week . Everyone loved this house. It has great beach access . The pool was super nice.

We expected to, and did, love the house and location but were pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was. We prepared most of our own meals and never wished we'd brought a zester, spider strainer, pizza stone, etc. along because everything was there. In fact, the entire home was well-equipped.

Property was in a great location, perfect home for our stay.

We moved our bubble to the beach for 10 days and really enjoyed the town and the beach cottage. I’d like to go back for additional days in the near future.

Had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. The vista from the front porch is great, and having your own pool is amazing. The linen service provided plenty of towels. Some minor notes: if you are bringing dogs, there is not a way to block them from leaving the front porch area; perhaps bringing a large baby gate would be effective at the top of the stairs. There were no screen doors on the main room sliding doors. Fortunately we had no issues with insects with the continued ocean breeze, but had to ensure the dogs couldn't get out and then down the stairs off the porch. There are no pantry items (not even salt and pepper) so be prepared to bring all the food items you need to cook with. There is an ample supply of dishware, pots and pans and cutlery. The master bedroom is south-facing and lovely, and is very bright in the morning! If you are easily woken, bring a sleeping mask to sleep in :) The property manager was very friendly; I accidentally mixed up our check out time, and he was so understanding with us trying to hustle out of his way! Overall our stay was great, and the minor things I pointed out did not detract from the time we spent there. I definitely recommend this property!

This was a nice location with easy access to the beach. Loved seeing the ocean from every valcony

This house was perfect for us plus our little pup! We used the The gas grill almost nightly to prepare our dinner and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to help. Our boys loved spending afternoons in the pool after our return from the beach. Which the entrance is literally just a few steps across the road. And we loved being able to feel the breeze and see the beautiful ocean from both the second and third story balconies. We are already trying to narrow down our travel dates back to this house next summer. Thanks Charles- for sharing your wonderful house!

We had a great week at Turtle Reef on Emerald Isle with six adults, two kids, and a pup! The house is in a prime location with beach access right across the road and a grocery store a few minutes away. This is our second week staying here, and it's perfect for our family! Fingers crossed for a little more sunshine next year though.

We had our best Christmas ever at this wonderful house. Everything was very clean. Great views from the decks and plenty of space for us to spread out. Highly recommend!

My family vacationed at "Turtle Reef" and had a wonderful week. The home was located perfectly in a quiet neighborhood and just across the road from the beach access. The access is limited to a few spots of golf cart parking so the beach was never crowded and there wasn't any traffic on the street. We were traveling with four small children and had no problem riding our bikes and scooters up and down the street safely. The location is perfect for access to a beautiful bike trail that allows you to ride your bikes to many stores, restaurants, and attractions. Most of the trail is off of the main road too which makes it very safe for kids. We drove the entire island and feel that this home is located in the optimal location to visit Emerald Isle. We visited the local water park and had a wonderful morning there and it was one of the highlights of the trip for my four year old. The home was very nice and worked well for our family. My father who does not get around as well as he used to enjoyed having a bedroom on the ground floor which limited his requirement to climb up and down stairs. There are beach views from each of the decks at the home, and with the pool being on the beach side, you feel like you've never left the beach. If you are utilizing the extra ground floor room as a 5th bedroom with the trumble bed, be aware that there is not direct access to the ground floor bathroom and you will either need to go into the other ground floor bedroom or go to the main floor restroom. There is a child gate going from the main floor to the ground floor which is great if you have kids. We would recommend bringing an expandable gate to keep young ones from venturing up the steps if you are traveling with young ones. The beds were wonderful and the TV's were up-to-date and the internet worked well. We cooked dinner in most nights and the kitchen was stocked well and there was never a need for something we didn't have. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had and made the whole experience painless and enjoyable. We reached out to him once during the check-in process and once about a malfunctioning appliance which he responded to quickly and offered us a solution. If we chose to vacation at Emerald Isle again, we would definitely keep this home on our short list. Wonderful trip, wonderful location, wonderful home. Thank you for allowing us to utilize your home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beach house. We LOVED the porches, especially since one of them provided great shade by the pool. Nice pool, which we used a lot. There were a couple of minor issues (non-working microwave, for example) which were addressed very promptly. The reviews we read prior to coming weren't kidding--you really can see the ocean from every level. Very reasonable walking distance to the beach. It's a great beach house in a great location!

Loved the location. Could hear the waves while at the pool! Close to shopping. Just wasn’t prepared for nothing to be at the house to get started(toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap) Otherwise great place. Nice and clean. Our family enjoyed our stay. Will definitely go back❣️

It was an amazing week at the beach! LOVED the pool! Great views of the ocean and sunsets! The kitchen was stocked great. Everything was well maintained except the deck floors. Owner was very responsive. WiFi is fast and very nice TVs.

Our family had such a great time at Turtle Reef. There was plenty of room for every one to spread out, and I loved that our pup got to make the trip with us! The house is in a perfect location just moments away from a public beach access. If you’re not a sand person, you can sit by the pool and hear the ocean without the mess. Best of both worlds. We will be back!

We stayed for the month of February and enjoyed each and every day. The house was perfect clean and comfortable. The owner always extra accommodating and helpful even when it came to teaching us the use of TV remotes(ugh poor guy). Great area everything needed is walkable. Beach access perfect. Could not have asked for more.. Thank you again for the great stay. The Wisconsin Girls (we did miss the cold -45 and tons of snow no complaint about that either)

The layout of the property was so unique! The location was perfect for our walks and neighborhood was quiet! The views of the sunrises over the ocean from master bedroom were reminders of God’s artistry! The house was well stocked and kitchen had great appliances!! Our family is awfully anxious to visit Turtle Reef because of our great experience!!! We would highly recommend this house to others!!! Jim and Lou

This house is beautifully decorated and well stocked with a spectacular view. The location is wonderful with easy access to the beach. It is close to grocery stores and shopping. This really was like a home away from home. During our stay, the owner stopped by to wish us a Merry Christmas. We highly recommend this home.

We have been vacationing in Emerald Isle for many years. This was our first December trip, for my daughter to attend a formal Marine Ball. We loved this house. Chuck was helpful and professional. Lots of space, fully stocked and classy kitchen, wonderful upstairs bathroom, downstairs area was a great private space for kids, the balcony views were great, and a swimming pool! Can't wait to come back to this house in warmer weather to use the pool.

My family and I had a wonderful week. The kids totally enjoyed the pool and the ping pong table. It’s a great property with easy access to the beach.

My family of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) had a delightful vacation here. Perfect location, and ocean views from every level!!! The house was clean and well maintained. The updated kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer were a blessing as we were able to keep our laundry current. The pool was the hit of the vacation! After a day at the beach, it was nice to relax in the pool. The location of beach access was also a huge plus! Having towels and linens provided was also a major advantage as we did not have to pack them. Our conversations with the homeowner were pleasant and very informative. This house is truly a gem in Emerald Isle, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a GREAT family vacation home. What a great week with wonderful family memories. Thanks Chuck!
