With only five adults and two children onboard, this spacious, stately farmhouse offered an abundant week of adventure, relaxation, and good-feeling. Whether it was the wonderful indoor pool, quick, easy access to charming North Beach, or enjoying many comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, we all made the most of our time together. In spite of feeling nestled in a private wooded oasis, we were just a few minutes drive to every imaginable restaurant, attraction, and historic site. Beautiful location. Chelsi was a very responsive host, in particular when we needed help with TV connectivity following an electrical storm. We all had fun, ages 7 to 73.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property in July 2023. The house was perfect, with plenty of rooms and flexible room configurations for everyone in my extended family to be comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there were plenty of places to eat and gather together. Air conditioners in every room kept the place cool and comfortable even as the temperature outside rose. The kids enjoyed running around in the huge, well-kept yard, lounging in the TV room, and swimming in the clean and heated indoor pool. The location was also perfect for us - easy access to North Hampton, Rye, and Wallis Sands beaches, and Odiorne tide pools and park. The host provided ample information about the property, and was responsive to any questions. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Large home. Plenty of beds for all. Ample linens and towels. Lots of spaces so everyone could spread out or gather as desired. Short ride to beach. Beautiful property. Outdoor chair cushions were wet. Dishwasher was pretty disgusting. Plenty of kitchen equipment but pots were rather dirty. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed. Would definitely return if kitchen appliances and pans were updated.

This historic but beautifully updated property features lovely wooded grounds, a pond full of water lilies, an indoor pool, entertainment room, ping pong table, outdoor grill and patio, a beautiful kitchen, and several rooms for gathering. It is a comfortable and enjoyable place for people of every age. Highly recommended!

Our group of 8 adults loved our 3-night stay here. The house had exactly what we were looking for - enough space in the kitchen, dining, and living rooms for us to spend time together, and enough space for us to spread out and enjoy some alone time, too. We enjoyed using the pool and walking around the yard. We visited Throwback Brewery (~5 min away) and had GREAT food, cocktails, and beer! If we had questions or needed anything, Chelsi was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. Chelsi wanted to come by a couple of times to pick up packages that had been delivered, and she asked if this was okay and waited until I replied before coming by. This must be a very popular rental property that gets a lot of use, so some of the furniture is well-loved and some of it has been switched out since the listing photos were taken (stools in the kitchen, couch in one living room, fridge, manual pool cover). Generally, this didn't impact our stay. The white reclining chairs in the tv room near the pool are very worn and the leather is flaking, so we opted to watch tv in the other living rooms instead. As Chelsi states in the listing description, she has a lot of strict house rules. She sent them to me in advance and provided a printed copy at check-in. At times it felt like a lot of rules to keep track of, and I was a bit anxious my guests or I would do something "wrong." In the end, we worked hard to keep the place clean, enjoyed our time together, and had a great weekend!

We just stayed over the kids school vacation. Kids ages ranged 11months - 17. The kids and adults loved the pool. The sauna was hot! All the space allowed the kids to hang out in one living room or theater room and adults in the kitchen or other living room area. Tons of rooms, pull out sofas, and bathrooms! The check in and check out process was clearly laid out and was all the basic stuff I think you would do when respectfully staying at anyone’s property. The owner was attentive and answered any questions I had. Kitchen had everything needed to cook and eat with. Grill and propane provided. The linen and towels were all supplied along with pool towels. Washer and dryer available to use. A lot of parking spots available. Close drive to grocery store and other stores. We were all very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

This house was absolutely amazing! We went for a relaxing weekend getaway with friends, and had the best time ever. We really never had to leave the property, we had everything we needed. Chelsi sent over helpful information and videos the day before our trip so we knew how to use everything, along with house rules. It was a great experience and we would definitely rent this again.

We had a great time getting together with our kids and 4 grandkids (ages 7-14). The kids loved the pool and the movie room and they were especially excited that they all got their own bedroom in this sprawling farmhouse. Thank goodness there was tons of counter space in the kitchen because it gave the kids plenty of room to spread out and prep their secret recipes for the guac off!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming farmhouse. It has everything you could possibly need. The house is huge with more than enough room to spread out. The kids had a blast in the pool, and playing hide and seek. Chelsi was extremely thorough and informative. She sent a few videos prior to explain things which was awesome to be able to refer to and limit the need to contact her throughout our stay.. which we didn’t need to at all. The only thing I might suggest is if you have small children, bring a couple baby gates to block off the kitchen which extends into multiple rooms and a few stair cases. (Assuming Chelsi is ok with that). Luckily our kids were old enough this wasn’t an issue. They had so much fun hiding and exploring. She also has a bedroom with puzzles, a play kitchen and toys for the kids! This was a big hit! Don’t listen to the very few negative reviews here. The house is literally perfect. It’s old, but still aesthetically pleasing and homey. There is a washer and dryer on sight with a closet full of cleaning products. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook… And perfect for cooking large meals. Two ovens, stove top, a toaster, a microwave, coffee pot and I believe an espresso machine. We stayed when the temps were in the negative and the house was still very warm. We can’t say enough good things! We are already trying to plan another weekend next year assuming Chelsi will have us back ;)

Tons of space great host

My four adult kids, spouses and 10 grandkids had the best Christmas of our lives at this wonderful property. Kids never wanted to get out if the pool of course! Chelsi was very helpful and responsive throughout. There were beautiful Christmas decorations up throughout. It was spacious, clean, convenient in every way. This is a fabulous property for a large group. Loved it‼️

This property was as expected and perfect for a large group. There was plenty of room that you never felt on top of each other. Unfortunately my only complaint would be the heat. The house was much to warm and you are not able to control the temperature. The pool and pool area was the same and to warm to enjoy that space. Owner was very responsive and I would recommend this property with that knowledge.

Loved the stay here. It was as advertised on VRBO. Furnishings were very nice, enough beds for our group of 23, enough space for our meetings/workshops, pool was perfect, outdoors was very lovely, beds were mostly comfortable (even the pullouts), shower water pressure was no issue at all, enough baths (though at times there was a "wait"), bedding/linens looked and smelled clean, property owner very easy to reach, appliances easy to use. Beautiful, old home with character and lovely details. Would certainly stay here again.

This home had plenty of space to house our blended family for the weekend. The property had a ton of ourdoor space that we were able to utilize for morning walks or sitting out on the patio furniture. There were also plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be able to retreat to their own space. Having a huge kitchen and indoor pool, we were able to all comfortably gather in common space for hanging out and having fun. The property is not far from the beach, grocery store and restaurants. Overall a great stay with the family!

Great experience- really beautiful property with old world charm and detail. Location is great- so much to do on the property and the beach an easy short ride down the road.

The house was not properly cleaned. We found cobwebs in the stairwells and debris from prior guests under the bed in one of the bedrooms, Q-tips, a water bottle and a disposable diaper. The master bathroom was infested with sewer flies that came up through the drain. We lost an entire day while a team of plumbers replaced the hot water heater. Not only did we not have hot water, we did not feel comfortable leaving the house with workmen inside. I expected an offer of compensation for the lost day and have had no response from the owner. Additionally, other than the garage door, there is no way to lock the house, and service employees have access to the garage pass code.

We had a great time at this wonderful home. There were almost too many activities to do in and around the house. We definitely wish that we could have stayed longer! We had a big group, but it never felt cluttered because there were so many options. The host was very quick at responding to any questions that we had, and was very thorough with regards to the ins-and-outs of the house. We want to go back next summer, but it's already booked! We'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

The property is magnificent snd bedrooms are huge, great for families with young children. Garage entry not too scenic esp with huge camper parked in front but whatever. Highly recommend Seacoast Trolley to explore the gorgeous coastline and downtown Portsmouth. We had 24 snd all had beds that’s the limit. Kids and adults enjoyed pool every evening although very hot in there. Movie room was fabulous and also kept kids entertained. Large accommodating kitchen snd outdoor grille perfect, thank you!! We would consider again in a few years.

We enjoyed the house, pool and grounds. The last minute exposure to pages of do’s don’ts, instructions and videos was a bid overwhelming. But, did provide some useful information. The owner was extremely responsive to any question and/or issue. Overall my family was very pleased with the rental and we hope to rent it again.

Our family had an AMAZING time! Our mother was turning 80 and made it very clear she did not want a big party. But because she is an amazing person, she deserved something very special and this turned out to be more special then we all could have imagined l. This property is one of a kind. An estate on a meticulous piece of land offered so much for all of us. Ages 10-80 there was something to be enjoyed by all. My family , my mom, my sisters and their families (all the grandchildren) and my aunt & uncle joined us. The house was very clean and very homey. Plenty of room for our family of 24. Plenty of privacy for sleeping and bathing. Of course the kids (and adults ) enjoyed the pool! We also did a family nature walk on the trails behind the house.. got to watch the Celtics play off game in the movie room. LOTS of cooking and eating inside & out. This home provides everything you need to cook (but if you have a favorite pan from home, bring it!) The weather was beautiful, the kids fished and played outside as did the adults. We encouraged everyone to bring their favorite game and enjoyed game night with lots of laughs. Overall we had such an one of a kind , amazing , rememberable with no complaints at all.. my mother is still talking about to everyone! (As am I ) We topped the weekend off with a rented private trolley ride that took us for a 2 hour ride up the coast through Hampton, Rye and Portsmouth. It was sooo fun! Everyone was excited when it pulled up to the house! The trolley driver ( the owner of Seacost Trolley) told us about all the history in the area and stopped at a few locations for photo opportunities and ice cream. The weekend was definitely pricey but so so worth it! I highly recommend this home for your stay. We are thinking on going back for a couples weekend with friends! Just looking for an excuse to go back sooner than later! We also plan to go back again with the family!

We loved walking the property drinking our coffee in the morning and hanging out in the beautiful kitchen. Would 100% recommend this property!
