This home was a perfect place to land for our relaxing vacation in the Durango area! We hiked and fished during the day and enjoyed the evenings in the hot tub to relax! The views from the home where amazing! We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful house just secluded enough to enjoy the outdoors with no city hustle. Great location for enjoying Durango, Purgatory, Silverton and Ouray!
Easy to get to from 550 and situated where you could go north or south to explore the beauty of the San Juan Forest and colorful Colorado. House was well stocked and had everything. Very comfortable beds and fantastic views. Easy to communicate with rental company.

Beautiful home and property. Would very much like to return again. Would be nice to know access to get to lake as all signs note private property. Home very well stocked with everything you need. Would highly recommend this property for for vacation stay.

This was a fantastic home and perfect for our family! Beautiful kitchen with all the amenities of not only kitchen items but also with stocked pantry items.
Our only complaint would be the mosquitios as we couldn't enjoy the hot tub without getting eaten!

I should have looked closer but didn’t realize one bedroom had a half wall open to the living room. Kind of a loft. The dish washer and ice maker did not work so we had to do dishes by hand and buy ice. The dish had very intermittent reception but we didn’t watch much anyway. Overall the house was good and the location worked great for us.

We enjoyed our time in this beautiful home! The house was beautifully decorated & had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It is conveniently located for excursions to Silverton, Purgatory, Durango & beyond… This is our 2nd time to stay at this house & our family of 5 can’t wait to come back!

Lovely house
Our stay at this property was great! House was bigger than the photos depicted which was awesome. Loved the proximity to Purgatory resort. Parking for our big truck was spacious. We weren’t prepared for the wood burning furnace maintenance but it wasn’t too bad.

beautiful property, it'd be perfect as we used it just to get away from it all, or as home base for a ski trip or rafting in the summer. we loved the home and would go back anytime

Great Neighborhood
The area is perfect if you are looking for a mountain getaway. The neighborhood has a lake which is accessible for fishing and kayaking. The surrounding forest is a mix of aspen and pine the lot sizes of houses are large and give you space to feel like you are in nature. Much better then Engineer Village where the homes are all crowded together like a cheap suburb. Everything in the house was as described, communication with the seller was excellent.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway
We had a wonderful long weekend on the west slope. The home is beautiful and conveniently located between Durango and Silverton, allowing us to explore all of our favorite mountain communities. Each night we came home from a long day of exploring and enjoyed some relaxing time in the hot tub. I highly recommend this property!

Felt like home
This is beautiful property located close to the heart of Durango and the entrances to several hikes! After climbing Castle Rock, we finished the night in the hot tub admiring the beauty around! We can’t wait to go back!

Family snow get away
I was looking for a mountain get away with beautiful views and this cabin was perfect. The large windows were awesome. I loved seeing the millions of stars sparkling at night. We could see them from the recliners at night or from our bed with the curtains pulled back. The location was perfect for skiing at purgatory and visiting Durango.

Very nice property
This was a beautiful property located perfectly for us to go north or south exploring for a family vacation- either to Durango or up to Silverton and Ouray and the scenic drive. October time frame did not tax the heating/air systems. Front step/stoop was a bit tall for weak-kneed people making multiple trips with luggage and supplies. Winter time hand-rail might be considered. Overall- the cleanliness and the amenities were great.

The kitchen was fully stocked, with everything we needed to prepare meals. The only reason that I am giving it a 4 star review instead of 5 stars is because the fireplace in the master bathroom did not work and neither did the heated floors in the bathrooms. It wasn't cold enough while we were there for this to impact our stay, but if it would have been during the winter it might have made a difference since the main fireplace heats the entire house. Regardless we would definitely stay here again!

Best views from all windows, appreciated all selections for TV (Netflix, Apple, etc). Comfortable beds and furniture with beautiful decorations. Loved the back patio!

Lake house escape
This is a wonderful property and really deserving of five stars. Unfortunately, there was a very aggressive neighbor keeping access away from the lake. It was a bit uncomfortable. However, it is well kept and very comfortable to get away.

Perfect getaway
the house was very well stocked. Perfect for a girls trip. We had a blast. We traveled around durango quite a bit. Was about a 35 min drive north each way but, honestly, totally worth it so we could be in the woods and able to see the stars from the hot tub at night. Would absolutely go back.

Perfect cabin!
This was the perfect cabin for our family. The space was beautiful and clean and set up perfectly with nice deck and hot tub. Kitchen and dining room were large and well stocked for cooking. Everything you could need was already there including large selection of cookware, spices, etc. Convenient to many hiking and off-road trails. Silverton and Durango about 20 minutes away along with several restaurants nearby the cabin. Owners/management were responsive and ready to assist when needed. We absolutely loved our stay and looking forward to returning in the future!

We came from NW louisiana where it’s hot and muggy to this perfect temperature and then this beautiful cabin! I can’t say enough good things! 3 bed, 3 bath, huge living/kitchen/dining! Hope we can come back again!!

Mountain feel
We had a wonderful time! The cabin was exactly as it appeared (beautiful and surrounded by aspens and spruce trees) in the pictures. It was in a quiet area and right in between Durango and silverton (we didn't mind the drive back to Durango). Easy access to Purgatory Ski area as well as the Purgatory community center/lake. One suggestion I would say is if you're planning on fishing at any of the nearby lakes, they require barbless hooks and no power or live bait (artificial lures only). We made a lot of great memories with plans of coming back next year with family members!

Escaping Texas Heat
Perfect getaway!! The cabin is exactly what we needed to get away from the Texas heat for a few days. It offers more than we could have imagined. They have defiantly thought of it all. From the kitchen, the master bedroom to the hot tub and all of the fireplaces. The location was perfect for relaxing as well as day trips to different locations. We were able to utilize multiple off road passes as well to visit Ouray and Telluride with ease. We will be back again but next time we will plan to stay much longer. It is the perfect cabin for summer and winter trips. Thank you for the amazing few days.

Mountain resort getaway
Very nice House...large spacious ..plenty of room for 7 to find alone time or play games and be together...Dishwasher needs serviced as it seemed to shutoff every night..we always had to re-run in morning...working the fireplace to obtain heat for the house is a bit a mystery , chore...using the firestarters and the wood they gave us we had pretty good success...it could have been explained a bit bettr on how to work the fireplace....the wifi is adequate...the phone reception is almost non-existent....we liked the home...tolerated the 25min drive home every night from Durango..the Property company was quick to respond to any questions or areas of concern we had...just contacting them with poor phone service was a bit tricky.....Overall we loved the experience and would give it an 8/10.....nothing so bad that I would never go back....The Mountains surrounding the area are awesomely beautiful...

Absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque location. Home was beautiful inside and out with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Will definitely be an annual trip.
