This house was perfect for us (4 adults). The location is private yet only a couple miles from the beach. We had everything we needed and the house was spacious and very clean. Our host was readily available and made sure we knew of all amenities included.

Wonderful family home in a wonderful area away from the crowds, cars and craziness. Peace and quiet with plenty of room for our puppy.

This property is beautiful, far enough away from Rt 1 to be peaceful, close enough so that your not far from town. Has everything you need.Definitely a wonderful place to relax and will definitely return if allowed.

Property was great and very clean

The house was the perfect vacation rental. When we arrived we were pleased to find everything sparkling clean and the furnishings were lovely and comfortable. There was room for everyone, including the kids, to spread out and find a private space. We came prepared with bags of supplies and were delighted to find the cabinets stocked with almost every possible cooking necessity. The backyard is special. Beautifully groomed grounds and an amazing space for kids, dog and adults to enjoy dinner around the grill or just playing around. And it's a great location, close to beaches but away from Route 1 traffic.

Our first few days there were 6 adults 1 toddler and an infant. There was plenty of room for everyone. Close to many great restaurants and shopping. Beautiful home. Would definitely return.

This is a great family vacation house. It's roomy, has a well-equipped and stocked kitchen. Grounds around house offer lots of play area and there are plenty of lawn games. It is over 2 miles to any beach though, and to walk or bike with children that distance on Tatnic Rd is impossible.

This was our second time staying at the Tatnic House. This property is located in a quiet, rural area away from the traffic of Route 1 yet close enough to many restaurants and beaches in the Wells-Ogunquit area. Ogunquit Beach, our favorite beach is 10 minutes away. The house is neat, clean, and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and enough room for 6 adults, four young children, and a dog. The house was great - away from the rush of tourists yet close enough to enjoy what Ogunquit and Wells have to offer. The back way into town was convenient to avoid the weekend traffic on #1. The kitchen was well equipped and the common areas and bedrooms very comfortable. The fire pit and "back 40" were an added bonus. I would recommend the Tatnic house to anyone.

Our family of 8 enjoyed Tatnic house's homey, cozy feel. The house is large and well stocked. We enjoyed a campfire, grilling, at night and our dogs enjoyed the yard. We found a beautiful beach nearby.(FOOTBRIDGE BEACH) Many stores and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy quiet nights minutes from fun.

My family and I had a great experience at this house. It provided everything we needed for our vacation. Big rooms, nice kitchen and spacious property for our dog to play. The homeowners were very accommodating and really made the rental process easy. I highly recommend this home to any potential renters!

Nancy and Parker are a delight wish we had time to speak with them. The house is away from the beaches that's a good thing. Nice rural area farm tractors reminds us of home. Do it again and again.

Well organized and maintained property a little off the beach. Evident that the owners put a lot of themselves into it. Beautiful yard with native plants and flora. Very well equipped. Owners were very friendly and supportive. We had a great time.

My family spent a wonderful week together at the Tatnic house. This was my first time renting a vacation home using VRBO and I was a little nervous doing so. I chose this home after reading all of the positive reviews written by others. The house was very neat, clean, and spacious. There was plenty of room for 6 adults, 3 small children, and a dog. We loved the large, well-stocked kitchen. Bed linens and towels were provided. Having a washer and dryer available was convenient. There are several window air conditioners to keep the house cool. My son’s dog loved running around in the huge green, grassy yard behind the garage. My grandchildren had fun playing in the garden yard out front. Tatnic house is located in a quiet, peaceful area off of US Route 1, but is close to many restaurants and beaches. It took us less than 10 minutes to drive to Ogunquit Beach. My family is looking forward to staying at the Tatnic house again next summer and creating more memories together.

Tatnic House was very well stocked for all our needs. We really liked the layout of the house. The decor is inviting and welcoming. We all felt very much at home and enjoyed our stay. We were close to the beach and fine restaurants. We loved the recommendation of the Ramp (great mussels).

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our time at Tatnic House. The house was very spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities and upgrades we could need. It really felt like a home away from home!

We just got back from renting this home for 7 days. Plenty of room from my 2 teenage kids and 2 big dogs. Master bedroom was huge with an ensuite, the bed was comfortable. Kids both had their own rooms where they had plenty of room to spread out (happy there was WIFI) and they shared the second large bathroom. Downstairs had another room off the sitting room/living room which was an office with a futon. Plenty of air conditioners to keep th house cool. Large kitchen with plenty of spices/plates/glasses/cookware. Large table to seat 8, chairs seemed a bit large for the table and made it hard to slide the chairs out. Plenty of lightning in th house. Great spacious outdoors. There is a gas grill, which we had a hard time lightning using the auto light, but a flick of a match and we were good to go. There is a table and chairs for 4 right out the back door and a fire pit, withheld was a light out there. It made it card to cook out there after sundown. It's a great location to visit a lot of Southern Maine. Nancy was always responsive to any emails I sent her. We were happy with our visit to Tatnic House.

We had a great time at this vacation home. The house was spacious and clean and had a well appointed kitchen. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable. All the bedrooms had window A/C units, which was a necessity the week we were there. One night the weather was cool enough for windows only, and it was delightfully quiet and peaceful. The house is 3 miles from Moody Beach, and we appreciated being off the beaten track b/c of the crazy traffic of Route 1. Our dog enjoyed the large yard, and my husband enjoyed biking on the back roads of Wells and Ogonquit. If you are looking for a quiet place only a few miles from the beach, then this is your house!

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice being so close to the beach, yet it was good being away from the traffic and chaos of the town. I rented the house for nine days and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The house is only a few miles from the beach, downtown Ogunquit, and downtown Wells. My dog really enjoyed running around the expansive property. The house has plenty of room and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Nancy and Parker keep the place nice and clean and respond quickly to any questions you may have. I highly recommend this property for any sized family. You won't be disappointed!

We enjoyed the spacious master bedroom and bathroom ensuite, and our adult children were happy with their accommodations (a creaky bed can use some tuning up). The modern kitchen, dining area was easy to use and well equipped. The property itself was truly beautiful with a front garden and ample fields for lawn games. We used the BBQ a few times as a alternative to eating out and it was great. The best part was hearing the local roosters and watching the hummingbirds off the small side deck that was perfect for relaxing.

My family and I just returned from a wonderful week at the Tatnic House. The house had everything we needed. It was well stocked, very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was great for cooking dinners in and having laundry on-site was so convenient. We had 2 adults and 3 small children and there was plenty of room. There were plenty of linens and quality was great. There are also several air conditioners throughout, but the house is so comfortable we only used them toward the end of the week. The area is perfect-just a short drive to Wells Beach, restaurants and entertainment, but set back enough to be quiet and peaceful. We would definitely rent again!

We would highly recommend this house especially for its layout and outdoor space. Our family of 6 (and 2 dogs) had much space to unwind after a day at the beach. The owner Nancy was wonderful with prompt email responses and communication. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

The Tatnic House was just perfect for our week long vacation to Wells! It had ample room for 6 adults, 2 kids and family pets! We each enjoyed our own private bedrooms with comfy beds, clean linens, and HUGE closets for our personal space. Combined with a large, well stocked, eat-in kitchen that provided enough room for relaxing, meal preparation and sit down meals together. The kitchen was adjoined to the living room and additional storage room with futon - made a great first floor bedroom to suit our family needs. The house has an incredible master suite with bathroom which is incredible! The outside grounds were beautiful and spacious. We had a family baseball game in the field and enjoyed the peace and quiet! Also, had access to the garage to store our beach stuff and plenty of parking for 3 vehicles! The Tatnic House was clean, spacious and very welcoming. We could not have been more pleased with our stay and thank Nancy and Parker for being so accomodating and easy to reach before and during our stay. They take great pride in this property and it shows - incredible value for this lovely home and I highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

What a beautiful spacious, yet cozy home that we enjoyed during our vacation! It is only a few miles from the beach areas, but away from the hustle and bustle. The large shaded yard was a haven to relax and play with the grandchildren after a day at the beach. All the beautiful flowers, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries were an added bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and all rooms were tidy and clean. Nancy checked in mid-week to make sure all was well, and of course it was! Hope to return next year.

My family and a couple of friends recently enjoyed a great week-long vacation from this home. We each had a room with cold A/C, which is nice since many Maine homes have said that you don't "Need" A/C in Maine - on the contrary. The Kitchen had all the amenities - and especially a coffee grinder! Each bedroom was comfortable and cool and very very quiet, with nice bedding and towels. We had wanted to use our bikes on vacation, but the owners warned that the road could be busy and not a great kid-friendly biking location. Our bikes sat in the garage. If we had time, however, we would have gone to a bike path, the Eastern Trail [suggested by the owner], or gone to Peaks island and biked - not enough time since the beaches are so beautiful and the kids loved going there. The only things we have to mention that weren't quite to our liking - The internet was very slow, DSL I think, so we ate our data plans quickly despite the Wifi throughout the house, so that could use an upgrade [probably not much more for cable]. It would also have been nice to have a cheapo DVD player available so that we could have played the Red box selections that we grabbed when a rainy night was approaching. If you visit, ask the owners for the secret back ways to the house so that you can skip the horrific traffic on route 1 in Wells and Ogunquit!

We had such a great week in Wells, Maine. The house itself is beautiful and offers plenty of space. The layout of the house is great. It is clean, the kitchen is really nice with more than ample working space. Spices, etc. all available in an updated kitchen with a lovely window to look across to a peaceful field. The house is located just off of US Route 1 and the ocean is easily gotten to via Wells and Ogunquit beaches. If you like antiquing bring a moving van! Many antique shops all along US 1. Shopping galore in downtown Ogunquit. Heading north we visited the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge which is about 15 minutes from the house. And just north of Wells is Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, also a lovely town to visit. Nancy & Parker were gracious hosts, checking in with us to make sure all was well. We had a few minor questions to ask and they got back to us promptly. And, if we had read the contract and rental agreement those questions would have been answered. :) But, still, they were most kind and made our stay a perfect retreat. Our week stay was perfect in the Tatnic House. We had 5 adults, 3 children under the age of 3, and a dog, and there was more than enough space for everyone to move around. The house is close to everything you are looking to do in Wells and Ogunquit area (beaches, shops, and restaurants), yet set away from Route 1 on a beautiful lot. The yard is enormous and our kids and dog loved running around and playing each day. We thoroughly enjoyed the very large kitchen that had no problem fitting in everyone for meals. Tatnic House was the perfect place for our week + stay in Wells. The classic shingle siding and white trim on the house say, "Welcome to Maine!" Convenient to all the bustle of Wells and Ogunquit but peaceful and quiet at day's end. Spacious rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. Great kitchen and ample dining space at the long harvest table. Lovely big backyard for our granddaughter to play in. Nancy and Parker were very helpful with restaurant, beach and shopping suggestions. We would highly recommend Tatnic House to those looking for a Maine coastal getaway!

Great spot close enough to beaches/ amenities yet so quiet ( rooster in the distance but not an issue) and private. The home was well appointed and very clean upon arrival. We found everything we needed right down to beach towels/ chairs. The backyard was expansive and lush, lots of beautiful trees and flowers in the front yard. The internet was spotty at times but a quick reboot and everything was up and running. The owner was very helpful with answering questions before and during our stay. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a spacious home/ yard out of the way yet very close to all that the coast has to offer. Thank you Nancy for a fabulous week !
