Absolutely wonderful, quiet private home in beautiful woodlands with wild berries, apple trees, deer and absolute solitude! Walking distance to San Juan National Monument, the beach and just four miles from Friday Harbor, a real 10!!

We loved staying at this property! It was very clean and well stocked with towels and other supplies. Plenty of space for our party of 8 to sleep. The yard is a perfect size for kids to run around and play and the location of the house is walking distance to Eagle cove beach and American camp. Overall we had a great stay!

I am very familiar with San Juan Island so I was pleased to find a spacious rental for my family to attend a gathering on the island. There are very few rental houses available with five separate sleeping areas to accommodate an extended family. The yard was large and level and good for small kids to play safely. It was walking distance from American Camp, Eagle Cove, Grandma's Cove and even South Beach (about 2 miles) if you are a walker. We had some trouble with the dishwasher and the property management sent someone out immediately to help with the problem. A view of the water was the only thing that was missing.

This was a beautiful setting, and the house absolutely exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space for our family — actually five bedrooms. We loved being close to Eagle Cove and South Beach, but on SJI you’re always close enough to everything. When we return to Friday Harbor, we definitely plan to return here.

The property is as described, a secluded getaway that’s super close to Eagle Cove beach and American Camp, but to be honest everything is close on an island. the house was appointed well with a rustic feel. The furniture is getting along in the years, but comfy. The outdoor space is great for kids to run around and we made use of the fire pit and grill outside. We saw a couple deer walking through the backyard in the morning.
We were traveling with me, my wife, 11yo daughter, 9yo son, 6yo son, and 76yo mother. Mom appreciated the ground floor accommodations.
My only recommendation to the owner is to make sure all rugs have the non-slip mats underneath. A couple in the main bedroom almost got me.

Overall, we loved the house and our stay…. The house was comfortable, comfortable for family to spread out and relax — as well as to come together for meals and hanging out. The house is located within short peaceful walks to the beach and to American Camp. Good Thanksgiving.
Our one concern was the mattress in the primary bedroom…..very uncomfortable. We were a small group so we could choose other beds…with a new mattress there, this would be ideal for our family… (we usually expect an additional person or two…)

I loved how quiet the property was. It is kind off the beaten path, but that was one of the things I loved about it. It's also really close to a great beach that would be perfect for small kids. It was a beautiful house that was really peaceful and spacious with a great front porch that is perfect for your morning coffee!

We were so pleasantly surprised by how perfect this home was for a group of six women getting away for a few days. It was so secluded and private and yet close to everything we wanted to do. The home was very cozy and immaculate. The wildlife that would stroll by the large windows were so enjoyable. We highly recommend this rental.

This was a 3-generation family vacation, ranging in age from 7 to 75. The house was perfect. Lots of room for all of us. The yard and deck were great for relaxing. We saw deer and foxes in the yard. Star watching from the lawn late at night was spectacular. The location is outstanding, close to everything but quiet and serene. We went to American Camp just down the road several times to spot wildlife and enjoy the beach at Grandma’s Cove. The house itself is well equipped, very clean, and beds were comfortable. We liked everything about this place and would recommend it highly as a delightful vacation home. Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely home with us.

As we made our way around the curving drive, we were welcomed by a beautiful, spotted deer! The house was clean, quiet and comfortable. The sheets were amazing - Charisma. Nice layout for family time together, as well as private space within each bedroom.

The house was great. There were 8 of us with plenty of sleeping room and plenty of room to spread out around the house, great sized kitchen where we could all cook and eat together. The house was only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Friday Harbor, and was also a 10-ish minute walk to the American Camp trails or to Eagle Cove Beach. Wifi worked really well too, and although cell coverage was spotty throughout parts of the island, Wifi calls worked perfect from the house.

This house was fantastic! We are two teachers and two teens on spring break. The house is very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being so close to Eagle Cove, Cattle Point, and American Camp. I highly recommend staying here! It’s a quiet, beautiful, peaceful place. Thanks for sharing!

Large lovely house. All 6 of us were able to have seperate bedrooms which was very nice. The house is clean and well stocked. It is showing it's age but is still in very good condition for a house on an island. We loved it all, from location to the foxes who visit in the am.

Beautiful house with large backyard with swingset and slide for kids to run around and play. We had my parents, my adult brother, my husband, and my toddler with us. There were 4 bedrooms upstairs, 3 with queen beds, one kids room with bunk beds and another bedroom downstairs with queen bed. I think it would probably have been better if things were a bit more kid proofed, i.e. furniture secured to wall in the kids room and fewer breakable decorations. We were fine but did have a bit of scare when my 2 (almost 3 year old) decided to get up and head downstairs without telling us. My husband heard her and she was totally fine but it was definitely a learning experience for us all that we needed to be more specific about her getting us when she woke up not just if she "needed us." Regardless it was a lovely home with plenty of room for all of us and save for some really low water pressure in the sinks, tub, and toilet of the 2nd floor bathroom I have few complaints. Remember if you're cooking to bring your own spices they have some basics but it's a bit of an odd mix. The temperature was pretty comfortable the whole time but for people who run warmer you should make sure to grab one of the fans for your room. (The house had several). It's a pretty drive in and out of town and if you have bikes or an electric scooter you could probably use that. Some of the couches/chairs are pretty low so if your someone with back problems or who's pregnant like I was for this trip just be aware you may want to add an extra pillow so you don't sink into the couch too much. Otherwise enjoy your stay and the peace and quiet. Also don't forget to stargaze it had a great view with little light pollution.
