Mermaid Cove is an extraordinary cottage in the perfect location. Walking distance to everything downtown - restaurants, night life, riverfront, historic sites, etc. The cottage is remarkably decorated and those staying want for nothing. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely come back.

Charming Mermaid Cove Escape
My husband and I recently stayed at this delightful vacation rental in the quiet town of St. Mary's. Just a short walk to the restaurants and stores in town, this cozy 2-bedroom townhouse offered the perfect blend of relaxation and charm.
The interior was tastefully decorated with a mermaid theme, featuring comfortable furnishings and all the amenities we needed for our week-long stay. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare meals easily, though we also enjoyed sampling the local restaurants in town. (Locals Dockside, Seagulls, and Riverside Cafe are a must!)
The porch was perfect in the mornings for sipping coffee. This rental was a short walk to the riverwalk which was delightful in the evenings to watch the sunset. The area was ideal for our dogs, who loved exploring the space in the golf cart.
St. Mary's itself is a hidden gem - a small, friendly community with a many wonderful restaurants and shops. We appreciated being away from the busier tourist areas while still having easy access to attractions. The drive to Amelia Island was approximately 35 minutes.
Overall, this rental provided excellent value and a memorable getaway. We will definitely return again.

This place was very well stocked for our 3 month stay. I love to cook and the kitchen was the best! Everything I needed even a crockpot. The town is lovely with such nice people.The owners were right there whenever I needed something.

We go to St. Marys every year for about 7 years now and this was the first time in this condo, it was great! Very clean, overly stocked with anything you would need, came with a golf cart, and we were able to take the dog!!! We will definitely be back!!

I gave this place an excellent rating because it is EXCELLENT! It was very clean, very well stocked, and is in an excellent location. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are very stylish and in excellent condition.The rental included a golf cart and two bikes to explore the historic district. I hope to be a more frequent visitor to this townhome.

We could not have asked for a nicer, spacious and cleaner house to stay in. The location was awesome. So close to everything! The river and ferry dock were across the street as well as the shops and downtown restaurants were within easy walking distance. The owners were so nice and accommodating! Could not have asked for a better place. We will be back!

We loved this rental. It was clean and the location could not have been any better. Less than a quarter of a mile from the water front park and all the restaurants and shops. The owners have thought of everything you’ll need and more. Beautifully decorated for that beach vibe. Bicycles, golf cart, sunscreen and so much more. The unit was clean. bright and cozy. The layout was perfect for a family or two couples. Each upstairs bedroom was spacious and had its own bathroom with showers. You can walk to downtown and the water front but with the rental we enjoyed the owners golf cart. Why walk in the GA heat when you can ride in St. Mary’s style!?! We were in St. Mary’s to visit family and loved our stay!

Some of the floors were creaky in the master bedroom and the master bedroom dresser made noises as you walked across the floor. The pots in the cabinet were scratched up, so we had to ask for more, which Randy happily gave to us. On a positive note, Randy was very nice. He came to greet us and speak with us. The home had everything stocked with laundry essentials, toiletries, some grocery items, and a beautiful set of dishes in the cabinet. The bicycles provided were aged, but they served the purpose. I requested a picture of them before we arrived, but never received it. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay here. Juane was nice to offer us a deal on an additional two day stay, which made us happy.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the townhome in St. Marys. Wonderful location near downtown and quiet neighborhood. The home was roomy, clean, and comfy. The use of the bicycles and golf cart were an extra bonus. Loved sitting on the front porch listening to the birds or walking across the street to the marshwalk to see the sunsets. Randy and Juane are great landlords who were always available to help in any way. We look forward to our stay again in 2025!

Wow! This has to be one of the best places my spouse and I have been to! I normally always pack coffee and cleaning products because you just never know and they had a little of everything to help get our vacation started! The whole mermaid theme was was cute and I loved it all and was super helpful to have that half bath on the ground floor for his grandpa, because he doesn’t move as well so it was a great place and easy for him! Overall just so amazing!

The Mermaid Cove was beautiful and set in very peaceful setting. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I was the purpose of my trip had allowed me time to explore the St. Mary's are. The cottage offers so much extra such as bikes and use of the owners golf cart. I would recommend the Mermaid Cove to other travelers.

My wife and I and another couple needed a stress free weekend. The Mermaid Cove felt like home from the moment
we opened the door on our first day. It is very cozy and located very close to historic downtown. The golf cart was a plus too. My wife and I will be retiring to St. Marys in a couple years. Perfect Rental
We stayed for two weeks in July, and could have stayed longer. I can not say enough positive things about the home. Juane has taken care to assure that every detail is taken care of. There was not a day that passed that I did not think how perfect the rental was. The location and the golf cart ride to restaurants and shops were perfect. We used St. Marys as a base to see so much within an hours drive. We visited Amelia Island, St. Simons Island, Jeckyl Island and Sea Island. We went to the Okefonokee Swamp and the dinner theater in Jacksonville. All within an hour drive. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

A perfect get-away.
This little place was absolutely perfect. It is very well appointed and decorated beautifully. It has everything you would need for a getaway and plenty of room. The location is perfect with beautiful views just across the street. Juane and Randy are incredibly kind hosts who are very available if needed. This is one of my favorite vacation rentals ever and we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful location
We came for the FL/ GA game. Only 30 minutes away to stadium. We came here because we had wanted to see St. Mary’s. It was the most adorable cottage ever and the absolute perfect place to stay. The town is just beautiful! We loved staying here. The owners were the cherry on top, being so nice and sweet and making sure everything was great for us. We will definitely be back! My family and I had a great stay. We loved the property, the location, and community. Juane and Randy treated us like family and I know we are going to miss them and being so close to them. My husband and I needed a low-key weekend and we found it at St. Mary’s Mermaid Cove. The townhouse was beautifully decorated and clean. Having the golf cart to ride around town was so much fun and convenient. We watched the sunset at the pier across the street and had brunch at 401 West. I really want to visit again soon. Lovely historic town near FL border. Easy access to Jacksonville for farmers/art market, museums and beaches. we explored the several barrier islands including the pristine Cumberland Island taking a ferry nearby the house. Spent a day in Savannah and went to the local beach on Tybee Island. Able to relax fully in well appointed home with a few family meals and TV. Hosts are fun and helpful to talk to and very responsive. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

Quaint, quirky, comfy
We only checked in today but are already in love. Hubby wants to live here! If I had one thing to say, the ocean view from the upper deck is a sliver and requires standing to see it. Knew it was not directly on beach but this part was disappointing. Love it nevertheless, just want to set expectations.
