We needed to run away for our 30th anniversary from St. Louis. It was beyond perfect! The place was so qaint and welcoming. I loved that we could bring our dog. We spent every minute on the dock, or the deck. Probably the only time that I have been in a lake in October, around here. Totally PERFECT!

Very quiet setting with nice view. Good outdoor space to lounge. Close to shopping and dining. Also saw several deer.

We enjoyed our stay and definitely will return, everything was as expected, property was very clean, fully stocked with all the things one need all we had to do was bring our food and snacks, everything was functioning, the views were amazing!, the owners very fast to respond to our messages, our two teens totally approved this getaway and we all are looking forward to the next opportunity to visit again.

This property is an older house that’s sits directly on Lake Hamilton. The view is absolutely stunning. Perfect get away for a couple We will be back

Great cottage with a great location. Convenient location for downtown activities. Cottage was clean and very comfortable.

The owner was very responsive. The place was clean, but not deep clean. It definitely shows it’s age. For the price and our length of stay it was fine. The dock and porch were nice. We had good weather and spent our time outside. Not a ton of space to run around for our 8 & 9 year old boys, but they made the best of it, climbing around the back yard and using their imaginations. If deep clean is your thing, find someplace else. If you don’t mind a little dust/dirt in the corners, windows, and window sills, you’ll be fine here.

We enjoyed staying here and felt like the price was right for the property. Good location (short drive to any major attraction in Hot Springs) and was exactly what we were looking for. Pros: Easy check-in/ check-out, clean, pet-friendly, stocked with all toiletries and enough kitchen utensils. Cons: it is a dated property and furnishings are pretty basic (which is fine if you're just looking for a base to operate a vacation our of), the bed with the blue blanket sags a but in the middle (we put a kid on it and switched to the pink bed), beds in general are not the most comfortable but will get you by, hot water does not last long so we had to shower in shifts, driveway is very steep and can be a little intimidating but once you've done it a couple of times it's fine. Overall, the location on the lake was great and there are grocery stores and restraunts very nearby. We were there during a bit of a cold snap and the heating was perfect. There's a TV with Roku which allowed us to access Netflix, etc. For the price point this property gets 5 stars.

The view is lovely. The house was clean. There are soft spots in the floor. No outlets worked in the bathroom. Very few outlets in the house at all. The hot water in the shower lasted only about 7 minutes. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz and this is not it, but overall I enjoyed my stay. The hills and steep slopes of hot springs are not for the faint of heart. The driveway does get easier to handle as time passes. Having a washer and dryer was great. Also the little coffee station is a nice touch.

Pro: wifi and heat worked, great view Con: rustic yes, didn't expect 5 star accommodations but floors were filthy (owner did send cleaning lady who swept & mop but didn't do bathroom floors), windows filthy, couldn't get TV to work since we needed a streaming service, bathtub was nasty, floors had weak/soft spots throughout, door was damaged at bottom, electrical covers were damaged and worst of all bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. Had a 3 night stay but left after one night (was only there 15 hrs). Place needs a lot of TLC. For the nightly rate it was very disappointing.

The beds were uncomfortable and coverings were minimal. The cushions for the lake furniture were filthy and covered with dog hair. The water in the shower was just hot enough to shower without cold water being in. The clothes I hung in the closet stunk from just being hanged up in there. Location was great though.

In general, we loved this location and the views!!It’s very close to all the downtown sites and all the restaurants on Lake Hamilton. Upon check-in I was not pleased with the cleaning and the amount of supplies. That has since been taken care of. Overall a great place great location beds are hard and very uncomfortable. We would come back and stay if the supply issue and other requests got completed.

This place is just what we were looking for! The view is beautiful and the cabin nice and cozy! we visited last year and stayed here. Can’t wait to go back!

Cabin was as described, it was clean, and had great views. We really enjoyed our stay.

It’s a great location on lake Hamilton with good views! Great place to relax and super convenient to everything. Be sure to read the directions the host has listed because the GPS will take you to the wrong location. The host was super nice and quick to respond. The cabin had everything that we needed for the weekend and the beds slept pretty well! The boat dock definitely needs repaired so be careful when walking out because there are several missing and damaged boards and it seems very unstable. Only negatives I have are- the shower was REALLLLY dirty (lots of biological growth growing around the bottom and on the walls), the driveway is extremely steep (not a big deal to us), and the jetted bathtub did not work so when you filled up the bathtub all the “debris” that had gathered in the Jets came out in the tub with you 🤮. Overall it was a good place to stay and we would definitely come back!

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing stay. Hot Springs is a lovely little town and has many interesting things to explore. The house was very adaquate for our needs.

Was very disappointed when we got there to find that repairs we were told were taken care but weren't. Party lights on porch not working, jetted tub not working and if brother of the owner hadn't shown up to fix walk way to dock (missing 6 boards) we couldn't of used dock. And the driveway is more than just steep, it's downright scary. The cottage is cute and great waterfront location, but to many negatives for us to rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. The cabin was in the perfect spot for us. Secluded, yet close to everything we wanted to do. We cooked when we wanted to and found everything we needed. We fished off the deck and even caught a few. (Get your fishing license. It’s $25 for out of staters) The TV was great for Netflix and for Pandora when we wanted to slow dance. Such a calming, romantic atmosphere.

We wanted a lake house for easter weekend. Me, my hubby, and our 3 grand-girls (4, 6, & 7 yrs.) It rained every day so no swimming (stairs lead right into the water) or cooking out (great outdoor built-in charcoal grill by the lake) or other outdoor activities. The beds are comfortable, WIFI worked great, streaming channels was easy, and there are plenty of towels! Once we arrived we bought disposal plates & cups as the ones provided were all breakable. (Did I mention the littles?) There was 1 spoon....only one, so maybe bring your own silverware. The best feature is the huge back porch facing the lake. Even in the rain there were spaces that stayed dry. The cute string of lights do not work. Not sure why they are still hanging. The single light bulb in the ceiling fan does work. When I asked about the back porch lights after reading reviews that they didn't work...the owner stated they did work. I guess he wasn't all wrong. We had no neighbors although the driveway is shared with the mansion next door. No one came while we were there. There is a very steep...VERY STEEP... drive way into a garage to keep your car in. Very easy entrance with code pad. All in All....if it hadn't rained the whole time it would have been epic!

My son, dogs, and I rented this cabin for Spring Break from South Louisiana! I was a little intimidated to take them so far away alone but the area and cabin made us feel so comfortable and at home! The cabin has everything we needed! We only left the cabin to go hiking and explore. I cooked all of our meals at the cabin. When the weather was bad, we were able to stream our shows on netflix! We had no issues with that or with the WIFI. I’d absolutely rent this property again! Thanks for allowing us to use this place!

Easy and fun!

What I was looking for, a place to enjoy and relax

We were there for Christmas with our three kids and two dogs. The only downside was there was not a good place for our large dogs to use the restroom. The grounds are so sloped they had a hard time. We ended up having to walk them up the very steep driveway to the road each time.

We could not have picked a better location with the better view. The view of the lake is amazing. The house in appearance is rustic but quaint. Repairs needed (same as previous renters complain about) include 1) no lights work outside. 2) Wifi bandwidth is zero, don't bother 2) Satellite is out (says 'call service provider'), 3) only a few up volume band down channel buttons on TV remote don't work 4) outlet in master bath dead, 5) floor rotten in kitchen (feels like you will fall through) 6) tub faucet won't turn off and handles fall off. 7) legs on BBQ pit falling off. Might collapse during cooking. None of this is a showstopper. If you want a beautiful view away from everything, this is your place. Do not come here to watch TV It ain't going to happen! If you were on AT&T, you will have good signal but almost zero bandwidth. With no Wi-Fi and no cell phone bandwidth, plan on no access to Facebook! This is an excellent getaway if you want a getaway!

I loved staying at the cabin right off lake hamilton. I was able to easily jump in the cold lake water to get a refresh and loved that the property was a short drive away from town and some great hiking. The beds were comfortable and I loved taking hot baths in their tub. I would highly recommend upgrading your Wifi service because it was pretty frustrating trying to deal with the connection while I was talking to my family back home.

location was beautiful, none of the outside lighting worked very dark if coming in after dark, the floors in the kitchen needed to be replaced very weak in several places the window in the breakfast area was cracked. the shower was tee tiny. tv and internet were awful. i would not recommend this to anyone.
