Our family had a very nice time. The cabin was very nice and clean. And it is located in a secluded area with the beautiful surrounding with lots of trees and water. And all the Tahoe getaway staff have been very kind and supportive. Overall it's been very fun doing some activities like tree top adventure, picnic at the beach, shopping 🛍️ and etc.etc. We will definitely be back!

Hello-
We love staying at Ward Creek but we were enormously frustrated with the tv situation. Remotes did not work, took so many trial and errors each night to try and figure it out. Each solution each night was different. Had to plug and unplug multiple times...I hope someone can attend to this.
Also, we wanted to make a fire, bought wood only to find out that it wasn't clear if the fleu was open. No instructions left of fireplace as instruction book said there was. Called the office and the person we spoke to could not help. Again, hope someone can make a simple clarification on open vs. closed fleu.
Other than critters in the roof above the bedroom facing the street, it was a peaceful stay!
We really love staying here and hope these concerns are addressed so we can continue to enjoy the charming cabin in the future.

This is my second time staying here and I love this place. It's got the best living room to unwind in after skiing all day. The wood-burning fireplace and cozy atmosphere are exceedingly rare to find in the Tahoe area now. The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare family-style meals and has enough room around the kitchen table for everyone to comfortably eat.
The master bedroom can be a bit warm, but I love this place and would recommend staying here to anyone who will listen. 10/10

Great, but...
This cabin was wonderful. And if it had been any other time than August, I would have only amazing things to say. But... I would have really loved to have read a review like this before I stayed. We stayed in the cabin in mid August and there is no AC. If you look closely at the listing, "AC" is not checked, so you should know that going in. However, it is hot. And I mean so incredibly hot, we had to leave all day and only come back at night where it was still 88 degrees. And upstairs it's even hotter. The fans only circulate the warm air. And while nice they have them (they are portable not in the ceiling), they don't help much when it's in the high 80s inside the cabin. It bakes. We had a really hard time sleeping because it was so hot. Anyway....we would totally come back here again - just never in the summer when it's above 75 degrees outside during the day. This cabin is lovely - and so charming - and I am in no way trying to bash the place. But it needs to be said. Our mistake was not realizing there was no AC ahead of time. So I'm saying it now to make sure everyone is aware. So, there it is. Now you know :)

Such a lovely spot! So nice to have a trail right outside the back door. Roomy cabin with enough space to spread out and relax. The kitchen is spacious with everything we needed. The bed in the master bedroom was amazingly comfortable. Many windows to take in the views as well as the fresh air, and sounds of the trickling creek. Faucet water clarity & temp was great. Master bath water pressure/shower head could use some improvement. Couch and chairs in the living room match the vibe but are not at all comfortable (I'm not typically one to notice/care but these are ready to retire).
With so much detail in the property care info book, it was overwhelming to read it in full. It would be nice to have a simple short video emailed before check-in explaining some of the basics like the bear (electric) fence...it can be intimidating at first. As well as the difference between the recycling vs. garbage can in the kitchen.
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay immensely and would return.

The house is exactly as described. It’s cozy and has a ski vibe. Easy to get to alpine and squaw. Very clean. Kitchen is well suited to cook. Highly recommend.

A little slice of Tahoe heaven!
Comfortable, cozy and well appointed. With spacious living areas. Beautiful, serene back deck with a running stream adding to the ambiance. The neighborhood was quiet but at the same time close to everything. Hiking trails at the end of the street were amazing! This cabin has everything you need for a week stay! We hope to be back!!

Great place. Bed in master way too small. Like, way to small. Buy at least a queen size, not suitable for a couple, very uncomfortable, cmon. Didnt realize there was no air conditioning, very uncomfortable during the peak times of heat during day, coudnt even use oven. Great location, very clean, very nice cabin.

The home is adorable! The property is gorgeous! Very centrally located. We have two children - ages 5 and 8 - and there was more than enough room for all of us. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and just loved being there. One suggestion - the coffee pot does not automatically turn off. I might suggest an upgrade b/c if you don't remember to turn it off, it stays on ... all day

Arrived at the house and noticed the trash cans were completely full due to all the snow and the trash company passing by unable to open the trash container. Called Tahoe Getaways and they had one of their employee stop by within 30 minutes and removed all the trash. Extremely happy with the customer service from them!

Overall we were very satisfied with the property and would book again. Pros: Charming, attention to details in interior design. Cosy bedroom with plenty of sheets and blankets. Both dinning table and kitchen nook enabled multiple use of tables. Closest restaurant and deli 3 minutes drive away. Well supplied kitchen for cooking. Cons: I'd recommend a spring cleaning of some kitchen utensils, pots and pans as some were in unacceptable condition. I wish the piano was tuned; although this probably doesn't matter to most visitors. I did bring my piano music with me in anticipation that it was tuned.

What a special and perfectly snowy Christmas weekend for our family! Ward Creek cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Incredibly atmospheric, sturdy and well-built with special touches in evidence everywhere, including the most delightfully homey and well-stocked kitchen, which was perfect for baking and holiday dinner preparations. We loved everything from the comfy beds to the crackling fireplace, pretty views from every window and an enchanting winter wonderland awaiting us off the back deck. Icy, tumbling Ward Creek and the creekside trail made for some exhilarating walks admiring the National Forest cloaked in snow. Property management was excellent and the serene west shore location not far from Tahoe City was perfect for us. We'll always treasure our happy memories of our stay at Ward Creek and would love to return!

This cute & cozy cabin is totally Tahoe. If you like the feel of nature, this is it. With all the Sugar Pine trees, creek and animal life, you never want to leave the large deck. Just sit and enjoy the nature around you. The cabin was darling and well equipped with everything you would need. You definitely feel at home. It's close to shopping and restaurants, plus local bike and walking paths. This area has always been our favorite and we would definitely come back to this charming cabin again. The only thing is the BBQ could stand a little work. We love to cook outdoors and had a hard time starting the BBQ. Had a lot of wonderful meals on the large and quite deck which we totally enjoyed. This charmer is a five star.

We loved this house. It's got all the beauty of an old Tahoe house with with modern warm tiled bathroom floors, a great heating system and gorgeous fire place. The kids loved being able to walk out the back door and make a little sled run. We loved the beautiful creek. The house had everything we needed and was clean and well organized.
