We had a tremendous vacation. We have travelled extensively and found this property to be outstanding in every way. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a Tahoe vacation.

This was our first time staying at Donner Lake. We were very happy with the house. There were only a few things that were frustrating. I was given the Wifi password via text and on the app and the password sent to me was incorrect. The location of the router was incorrect. I kept being told it was in the small bedroom but it wasn't. We ended up finding a piece of paper at the house that had the proper instructions printed on it with the wifi password and location of the router. The information being sent in the app needs to be updated as well as information texted or emailed. Also the tv in the master bedroom doesn't work at all. It has no internet connection. I took picture. There was no way to make it work. So we had no working tv in the master bedroom. Both the toilets upstairs had leaking flapper valves or something so they ran. That kept me up throughout the night. The house is beautiful. It was clean and we loved the hot tub. When I reached out about the issue with the wifi I did get a response and did end up getting the proper password sent to me. We were out of the house so I couldn't test it. But I appreciated the attention to my issue.

We had a great time here. We had some minor issues (wifi was down and the dishwasher wasn’t working) but we understand that these issues couldn’t be fixed immediately because this was during a crazy snow storm.

The place was gorgeous; well decorated, well equipped for a group of 9. The hot tub was a huge plus; we are already planning to return next summer.

This house was perfect for two families with four kids ages 2-7. We particularly loved the two car garage (no snow piling up on our cars), almost completely flat driveway, hot tub, a fireplace that turned on with a switch, a massive kitchen, large reclining couch, and easy access to Tahoe Donner ski resort. The driveway was plowed every morning so we didn’t have to worry about getting snowed in, even though there was a big storm while we were there. Will definitely stay here again!

This is a VERY nice house. The set up is great, the large kitchen with everything you could need was perfect for our group. The home is beautiful, the furnishing are very nice. We will try to rent this house as much as we can when we go to Tahoe.

Ski View Chalet was perfect for our 3-generation family getaway! Each family had their own private space (bedroom and bathrooms), and the kitchen/living area was perfect for gathering and meal planning. The kitchen was well stocked, and the house was clean and well located on the 3rd green of the golf course - we loved to practice putting every night after dinner. Someone used the hot tub almost every night; especially the 9 year old. We plan to go again sometime -Thank you!

Clean, Convenient Location, Large Open Living Areas. Rental Company Tahoe Getaways charges to many extra charges that run up the rental costs. Read the contract closely as some of the fees they put on the rental agreement are optional. Also a $375.00 cleaning fee is way over what needs to be charged bc I don't believe they pay that all to the house cleaners.

This home is one of the most beautiful, comfortable and well equipped properties I have ever stayed in..the decor is so lovely and cozy. The kitchen is a chefs dream, with so many extra appliances and gadgets necessary to create a culinary masterpiece..All of the bedrooms are so cute and comfy for a great nights sleep..I can't say enough about this property and I look forward to returning very soon:)

I loved every minute of my stay in this gorgeous home! So comfortable, spacious and beautiful! The location is perfect….on the golf course, close to hiking trails and just a quick drive to downtown Truckee. Everything was clean and welcoming. I cannot wait to come back. I highly recommend this immaculate and lovely home! I would give 6 stars if I could!!

Great property!
This house is perfect for multiple families. There is enough room for everyone! Multiple decks are nice for enjoying early mornings or evenings. The hot tub was so relaxing! The only issue we ran into is that there are no beach towels at the house. That should have been told to us prior to arrival so that we could have brought some. We will look forward to staying at this property again.

Wonderful family getaway
This property is simply outstanding—spacious, modern, comfortable, and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and included all items that we needed to cook amazing meals. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and being surrounded by peaceful woods. The stunning Donner Lake and charming downtown Truckee are within a few minutes of driving distance. This is a well-managed property. There were a few outlets in the kitchen that were not working. We alerted the property management team and within a few days their electrician took care of the problem. We look forward to spending another wonderful week at this property.

1st reservation cancelled within 1 week of date - double booking by VRBO luckily found another place
The property was fabulous, spacious and comfortable. Prop mgr (Tahoe Estates) great to work with. Accommodating and easy to work with. Disappointed with VRBO for error with 1st booking. Vacations had already been scheduled could have been disastrous.

Awesome stay!
Our stay at Ski View Chalet at Tahoe Donner was exceptional! The house was spotless, extremely well stocked and very comfortable. We had a smaller group, so everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, and the downstairs family room was a hit with the 2 kids. The location, backing up to the Tahoe Donner golf course, was fantastic for winter snow play. The management company was very good, great communication and very easy to work with. When we return to Truckee we will most definitely plan to stay at the Ski View Chalet!

I love the area and the house was quite clean everything was in order and I love to see that there were a bunch of stuff Kids could play with my cars toys staff. The kitchen was completes you don’t feel you need anything from outside and the view was perfectly good also you can enjoy the hot tub. It was one of the greatest memory I could have on the weekend. The contact person we had the number was perfectly responsive for any questions and so kind to give you clear answer with nice behavior.I love to try another weekend in the summer in this house

Family getaway
This home was absolutely perfect for my family. The teens LOVED having their own space in the bonus room to watch TV and play games. The home is very well maintained, and the kitchen well stocked with high quality cookware and utensils. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. I can't say enough good things about this home. This place was so comfortable and perfect, and we really enjoyed our family time there - we didn't want to leave. Thank you!

Oh and a knife sharpener would be great :-) Overall it was a wonderful home and I would highly recommend Ski View Chalet to anyone looking for a spacious, clean and thoughtfully furnished and outfitted home. This house was perfect for our family. The main living area was spacious and comfortable.
Great location, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings and were able to enjoy the sun on the deck during the day!

Beautiful and clean
This house was amazing! Spacious, clean and so beautiful! The bedding on all beds was soooo nice. I cooked a huge meal on July 4th and the house was equipped with nice pots and pans and platters too. The hot tub was great and the views too! I’ll be back!

Accommodated our family easily. One suggestion though, the heating needs to be balanced better between the upper floor and the lower floor (too cold on the lower while the upper was too warm)

Another Perfect Stay
Last year we stayed at the Ski View Chalet with 3 other couples. This year we went with our family (7 adults/3 children) and it was another perfect stay! Our family had plenty of room and we loved making our big family meals in the beautiful and fully-stocked kitchen. It is obvious the owners care that we have a first-class experience. The Ski View Chalet is definitely 5 stars and we have already picked our dates to return for our next family vacation.

Awesome home - great for families
This was a great rental for both winter or summer. Two families had a wonderful time - lovely, clean rooms, plenty of space for kids to hang out, and backs to golf course for lots of sledding and snowman fun. We loved it, and will definitely be back!

This house is the perfect escape all year long. We’ve had he pleasure of staying at this home in the winter and summer months. Last winter we enjoyed playing out back in the snow and driving the short distance to Donner downhill ski with our children. The home is spacious for a group to gather with room to spread out and enjoy the many amenities this house provides. During our recent stay this summer we spent a weekend enjoying the Truckee/Donner recreational center with pool and fitness center. The backdrop of the golf course from the house is stunning and very convenient for playing a round. We also drove down the road to explore Donner lake, which is beautiful! Boat and jet ski rentals right on the beach. So much to do within a 5-10 minute drive from this fabulous house. We had some delicious meals nearby and also appreciated being able to shop nearby for groceries and other necessities. The home is clean with beautiful bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. The bonus room downstairs is the perfect hangout space for kids of all ages. All of the beds are very comfortable and the house is stocked with plenty of cookware, linens and towels for a long stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this lovely Truckee getaway home again!
