The back porch had a comfortable swing, oversized glider, and bistro set overlooking 2 ponds. The long range mountain views were gorgeous. We spent most of our time out there. Inside had everything you need kitchen was well appointed and cable tv/internet was reliable.

My wife and I plus our two dogs (small/medium sized) visited the area as we wanted to see more of the countryside surrounding Boone plus we have friends visiting later this year and we wanted to see what we could do to show them around. The cabin is up a hill on a private road and while there are neighbours it is very quiet and peaceful. The cabin is well appointed and has everything you would need for a stay plus it has a great balcony for viewing the mountains and a hot tub. Not sure when it was built but it has certainly been modernized and well looked after. All in all a great option.

The view from the porch was one of the most amazing we’ve had! The peaceful surroundings and the wildlife was gorgeous. The house had everything we needed and some fine touches you usually don’t see. Would 100% stay again.

We loved spending our 30th wedding anniversary at Mountain Song Cabin. The views are wonderful--ponds, green fields, and multiple mountain ranges. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub. The cabin itself is cozy and old-fashioned. The beds are big and comfortable. The location was good for trips into Boone and Blowing Rock. I'd definitely stay again.

Beautiful view. The only problem we had was the grass needed cutting. We arrived on Sunday and the grass was cut on Monday afternoon but because the grass was so tall we would track the grass clipping in when we walked. Other than that everything was perfect.

Spent the week here with my college age daughter helping her to recover from a surgery so that she could continue going to classes up at ASU. It was the perfect retreat. Quiet, country setting with the most fantastic sunset views! So convenient to Boone and the campus. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was easy to cook in. We will be back!

The cabin was beautiful and was perfect for our family. We came down to tour App State for my daughter and the location of the cabin was great for just that! The cabin provided games, pamphlets of nearby attractions, and even a hot tub to keep us entertained for the weekend. The view from the porch was absolutely gorgeous and we definitely enjoyed waking up to the breathtaking mountains. Thank you.

This property was absolutely perfect for my partner and I. The views, the hot tub, and the location were excellent and the home was large enough but also quaint enough for two. Far enough away from downtown but also close enough to go out and enjoy the town day or night for dinner, drinks, and shopping. Close proximity to great hiking and other areas around Boone like Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking and it even snowed the day we used it so it was like we were in a winter wonderland.

My children and I came up for a few days to visit Mystery Hill, snow tube, sled and enjoy the views! This was the most comfortable (and very very clean) accommodations I have had in the area. Directions were very clear, everything we needed was available and the location is perfect to get to Beech, Blowing Rock and Boone. Will definitely return!

We had a fantastic stay at Mountain Song.The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the cabin were absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed spending our days outside taking in the natural beauty. Great older home with lots of character in build and decor. Enjoyed looking at all the fun trinkets used to decorate the house. The master bed was super comfortable and the kitchen has most everything you could think of needing. The stars at night in the hot tub were breathtaking! Saw three shooting stars in the short time we were out there.

We had a great time. It was the perfect location. Easy drive to town and local parks. We explored Blowing Rock as well, which was less than 30 minutes away. The cabin was very cozy and we enjoyed the hot tub.

A wonderful place in an idyllic location.
Instructions for the TV remote were absent, and working the TV became problematic.
A bath mat in the shower would be helpful, as it is extremely slippery.
These are very minor issues. Overall, we loved the place.

We absolutely loved our stay at this little slice of paradise. I rented it because I wanted to sit in a hot tub and look out at the Mountains when I turned 30. It was perfect.

This was a great place for a relaxing getaway sitting on the porch and soaking in the hot tub watching the sunset. Quiet and peaceful with amazing views and close to town. The house was nice and the bed was very comfortable. My suggestions for improvements are to get a soundbar for the TV and improve the shower (ditch the built in sliding door frame I constantly hit my head on and just go with a magnetic shower curtain on the existing curtain rod; raise the shower head with a swan type plumbing extension, I'm only 5'11" and the shower head was arm pit height)
