My family had a blast at this Residence Club corner townhouse. Nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and lots of beach stuff for our kids. Only issue with noise at another house nearby, but Surf Style hosts were quick to help us (even though they didn't manage the other house). We would stay again but hope to have better weather next time, ha!

Despite having awful weather for the week the property, view and location were great. We rode bikes everywhere and did get one full day of sun. The upstairs bunk room worked well with teens however it was odd the bathroom door was clear glass. The property was well equipped and as clean as can be expected directly on the beach. Zane the on-site maintenance or property manager was great to talk to and most accommodating!

The accommodations were nice but place could use some TLC. I notified you after 1st night about poor water pressure in shower head but did not get a response. The picture on your website showed a 2nd floor balcony but our residence did not have that. That was very disappointing. It was adequately equipped but the condition didn't feel deserving of the price.

The townhouse is just what our family of 5 needed for a holiday vacay. Comfortable, clean, 5 beds, 2 or more bathrooms, TV's in the bedrooms, and beach stuff. Of course the views were a great bonus! Thanks again to your Surf Style staff for worry free stay.

The view was amazing. Step out your front door and onto the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and the boardwalk/Pier which is great if you have younger kids. Could easily get to other locations as was very close to the interstate. Would definitely go back.

We had the perfect vacation for our 40th wedding anniversary. Our beachfront apartment was in just the right spot! There is nothing quite like looking out the front windows to an unobstructed view of the ocean. The apartment was well equipped for our family of 4. Everything was as described and we look forward to going back.

Nice place, amazing views, nicely maintained building. The management was also very helpful in helping us with a wifi issue. We were a bit worried about potential noise for upstairs remodel, but thankfully there was none during our stay. Too bad for the gray weather, but we had a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our beach vacation, the checkin and checkout was very clear and easy, our stay went super smooth, and the home had everything we needed...including an ocean front deck! Thanks again to Surf Style Vacation Homes, we'll be booking with them again again.

We were a bit disappointed in this property. While the location is amazing, the property could use a refresh. The walls and doors are dirty. The pots and pans in the kitchen our old and rusted. There was only 1 teeny tiny cutting board. There were only 2 bath towels when we had 4 people listed in the reservation. There are 2 director chairs outside which are not comfortable. Would recommend a small comfy couch or some sort of patio table/furniture. With no AC, the unit is very warm in the summer. The layout of the condo is such that it does not allow airflow. Additional fans are needed badly.
Overall, obviously the location is the biggest draw for this property, but just expect to be eating out for all the meals and/or being out doing touristy stuff in the city because the unit itself is not ideal or set up for comfort/ relaxing.

My wife & I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this Residence Club 5 corner home. Just as advertised we enjoyed being up high, it made for better sunset viewing and people watching. Everything was nicely maintained, we had a small issue with the electrical but Dana at Surf Style was quick to fix. We will gladly stay again

Our experience was okay. The hot water heater was quirky and had to be reset multiple times throughout the day to have hot water. We also experienced electrical
Issues in the bedroom and kitchen where those rooms would short out and could not be remedied and would just eventually turn back on.

We loved the location, but we had major trouble with the water heater, some issues with the logistics of the glass doors, beds were subpar, needed more blankets, and more fans that worked.

Fantastic location
Everything went very well. Very good communication with the management company. Clear directions for check-in. Great location on the beach and boardwalk. Unit is very comfortable. Underground gated parking is a very nice plus. Just needs to have the issues re electrical outages addressed and it would have been perfect.

Nice condo just didn’t work for our family
We really enjoyed our stay but we had issues with a few things…
1. Private patio is not private, there isn’t even a table to sit at and other units use it as an access point for their condos. We had multiple families next door durning our stay and not a single one of them stayed off our patio.
2. The lightening in the house has issues. The lights flicker and even seem to go out at times.
3. The TV’s and WiFi are difficult and the WiFi is incredibly slow. Made it difficult to stream shows.
4. If you have dishes in the sink it’s almost impossible to load them into the dishwasher as the dishwasher when open blocks access to the sink.
We enjoyed our stay but would not book this unit again.

Cold WI to Sunny San Diego
My family and I have been trying to plan a trip for two years…covid times made that hard to make it to Disney. So we opted for a beach stay instead seeing as we’re all from WI and the lakes are not like oceans! Our 8 year old daughter and myself got to see and touch the ocean for the first time, we slept in the living room and listened to the ocean all night….10/10 will recommend doing that every time we get to come to town.
I wish the chairs outside on the patio were cozier but if that’s my only complaint….I think we’ll be just fine. We had an amazing time. The house was lovely, the location to the beach and shops and food was great. We plan on returning to San Diego again and seeing what other houses are available for rent. Having the stuff like chairs and beach toys, boogie boards etc….was perfect for the lazy/relaxing moments we all needed and loved.

Great location w/ parking!
The location of the unit is great. Walking distance to Belmont Park and also all the board/boat rentals on the bay side. We have an oversized car and were able to fit it in the assigned parking spot. The bedrooms do get warm, particularly the upstairs/bunkbed room, but there are several fans in the closets you can use. We followed the instructions to empty the washer tank before washing clothes, but it still leaked. There were plenty of towels, so clean up was easy. The washer and the remotes in the upstairs bedroom were our only troubles. Each bunk has its own tv and all the tvs would respond to every remote, so turning on one tv, would result in multiple tvs turning on, etc. The place is stocked with everything you need: kitchen utensils all there, fans, beach chairs and toys. The couch and chairs in the living area provided more than enough space for our family of 4 to stretch out. We could easily have had more people with us. The view cannot be beat.

Friends/family vacation
The location and condo is perfect. It was wonderful to be right on the beach. We were able to make our meals, do laundry, and relax. The only downfall was no air conditioning and the lights keep flickering out went out. Overall a great experience.

Condo needs some work. Smoke detectors had to be removed due to beeping. Oven took two hours to heat to 250 degrees. Called property manager and took them two days to get repair man out and despite him saying it was fine oven never worked properly. We were unable to cook except on the stove. The toaster oven needs to be replaced as it doesn’t cook on both sides. The washing machine leaks when used and gets the kitchen floor in front of the sink wet. Contacted property manager about beeping smoke detector and they text back apologizing and told me to remove the batteries until they could get there. When we arrived we noticed one detector on the main floor hanging open with no battery. Despite my call and the text the property management company never arrived to fix the smoke detectors. Thankfully we spent very little time inside. The location just can’t be beat the the grounds of the property are kept very very clean. Access to the beach is amazing and the beach equipment provided with the condo is awesome!

We really, really enjoyed our stay in this property. The property was exactly as advertised and the "pros" are exactly as expected. The location can't be beat. We always felt safe and could easily walk or drive to every restaurant or entertainment event and the beach in front is incredible. Close to zoo, airport, La Jolla. The overall property was very well kept and we saw maintenance people working all the time from cleaning glass railings, watering plants, cleaning property etc. Unit #5 was as expected which is to say Very Good. Under building parking was great as otherwise parking would be difficult. The lock box for check in was great and when the water heater didn't work the first day and a breaker needed to be reset they handled the issue right away. The electronics in the unit could use some improvement as the remotes are all worn out and we had to reset the wifi to work with the default password and the blue tooth amp never worked. If they spent $500 on a few things this property could be pushed to Excellent. This unit is unique in that the porch has an open patio as opposed to a barstool/bar setup that other units have. But, it only has one Adirondack patio chair. If they would just add another chair it would make more sense. We had to bring an interior chair outside to sit together. There were two barstools as well but who wants to sit on barstools on a patio with no bar top? The other thing that could be improved is some of the kitchen items. As with many rental properties, there is a bit of a mix up of cups, glasses, plates etc. The property had no shorter glass juice/cocktail glasses and no quality sharp knives. It seems to me that it wouldn't take much to clear out the assortment and set up a complete kitchen.But, overall this is an really great property and with a little tweaking it could be Excellent.

This property was perfect! Location couldn’t have gotten any better and the view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing looking at the Boardwalk & Ocean
Our favorite parts of this home was it sits above the boardwalk, so we could watch the ocean & people watch but still private. It was also great having the corner end unit and 3 bathrooms! Bed was super comfy, wish it was a king size it didn't bother us and I could see a king wouldn't fit comfortably in that room. Plenty of sand toys and the Surf Style hosts made it an easy stay. Thanks!

Prime Corner Spot on the Boardwalk
We got lucky with this place! Have the corner unit was convenient not sharing a wall & stairs to the boardwalk (plus a foot shower) right outside our front door. You should know there are about 6 stairs leading to the boardwalk, which didn't effect us. Everything felt nice and new, they had a new sofa and living room chairs, all the tv's were top of the line brands and had Netlfix (we are junkies!), and the onsite housekeepers were friendly and offered us extra towels and supplies.

Fabulous location with a few quirks...
The location on the ocean can’t be beat! Check in was easy. We had a few quirks... The upstairs shower did not drain when using it and you are standing in dirty water after about 3 min and the water pressure is a problem. We never used the upstairs shower after day 1. The downstairs shower water pressure is weak and the handle for temp control moves around and you can’t keep it on a temp so you freeze or get scalded. The shower head doesn’t stay in place on the downstairs shower so you have to adjust it several times while in the shower. The biggest issue we had was a major noise that happened almost nightly upstairs but could be heard even downstairs and outside. It sounds like a hammer beating on the wall or ceiling!! I don’t know if it’s a pipe inside the walls banging or what?! I took videos and sent it to the management company. They were mystified, like us, and said they would look into it. Nobody followed up! We had several sleepless nights because of this and had to move downstairs on the couch. The interior needs a refresh, in my opinion, with paint and new or freshly painted baseboards.

Location, location, location!!!
Did I mention location. Beachfront, with stunning views from small patio and main living area. Walking distance to stores, pier, restaurants, taco shops and bars. Would take weeks to try all the restaurants within walking distance. House was clean and well stocked with appliances and utensils. Second bedroom has four bunk beds, each with it owns small TV. Modern bathrooms and kitchen. Nicely furnished, with comfortable chairs for sunset gazing. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
