Bill and Shelleys condo is great! My family and I stayed and really enjoyed the unit. The balcony is spacious and the view is wonderful. Bill was so helpful with any and all questions I had during the week. Highly recommend.

We are so in love with this condo and everything about this property! The sunrises and sunsets are something photos can’t even captivate! The decor of this condo was so modern and clean, I want the decorator to come redo my home for me! The beds and pillows were comfortably, the appliances were phenomenal and up to date! We will be back!!! Bill was incredibly friendly and quick to respond to any of our questions!

This is our 5th time staying at Destin West. While the other properties were beautifully maintained and included all the awesome amenities, this condo was by far the best property. I can't imagine that there could be a better gulf view from any other condo at this resort. The sunsets were gorgeous and the balcony area is private. You're not able to see other families on their balconies and they can't see you.
The only suggestion I have is to add a shelf in the master shower to place toiletries on.
This resort is awesome and I hope to book the same room again next year!

This condo was great. Everything was clean and the decor was so tasteful and the perfect relaxing vibe for our vacation. They had all the essentials and more stocked and available. They even had beach chairs, beach wagon, and umbrellas available (which we didn't need but awesome if you do!). The balcony was amazing overlooking the gorgeous beach and we saw dolphins every morning! The daily beach chair and umbrella service was superb! The property manager was extremely attentive and responsive and was always available with great local recommendations! We would definitely come back!! Only critique-- add some sort of shelf / caddy for shower toiletries.

Okaloosa Island is truly a special place, and staying at Destin West Beach and Bay resort unit #602 gulf side makes it even more spectacular. This was our 2nd family vacation to Destin West and we were thrilled to find the unit completely remodeled with beautiful furnishings.
While we enjoyed the condo, we spent most of our time in the various swimming pools, on the beach or the wrap around balcony. You can see for miles and miles from the balcony, hear the ocean and feel the breeze. It's a great place to enjoy breakfast or dinner, wind down at night and relax on the patio furniture provided. We love hearing the light music from the beach bar a short distance away. Having beach chairs and an umbrella daily is also great! Bill and Shelley are excellent to work with, quick to communicate with guests and ready to help with anything you need. The condo is always sparkling clean and ready on time, or a little ahead of time. We forgot to print a parking pass before leaving home this year, so we contacted Bill enroute and he helped us get it figured out before arriving. We stayed at this condo when our children were in elementary school, and most recently when one is a teenager and two are in their 20's and we feel Destin West has something to do for family members of all ages. You'll want to return again and again.

Couldn't be better
This was such an amazing property. We stayed in the same area a year and a half ago. We loved that condo and didn't think it could get better, we were wrong. This unit has everything you need for a great trip. The kitchen was fully equipped and updated. We really didn't need to bring anything. The furniture in the condo was so comphy and tasteful. The views were wonderful and relaxing. I really can't think of a negative comment to make.

Beautiful beachfront condo
Beautiful beachfront condo, with excellent view of ocean (nothing blocking view). We loved sitting our our patio each morning with our coffee, and the evening sunsets are gorgeous. Very clean and the entire condo is upgraded. Comfortable beds, nice and relaxing decor, all the amenities you need for a stress-free stay. Free beach service (umbrella and chairs) is a great plus. Very responsive owner. Property is next to a national park/reserve, so lots of beachfront areas to walk along that has no buildings. The other side of property has a shopping/restaurant complex (recommend Rockn' Tacos for good Mexican food). Pools and property excellently maintained. Safe and you can let your younger kids have lots of freedom to do as they please. Lazy river pool area (across the pedestrian bridge) is very nice. Great location - lots of good food, grocery stores, and activities nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Great Place To Stay
There are so many good things to say about this unit. The view is amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you may need. The vicinity of restaurants nearby is great. The master bed was very comfortable. The unit was clean and we were able to get in the condo right at 4pm. Bill was very responsive to all questions/concerns. They have a wagon for the beach as well as some beach chairs. They also have a pack and play. We would certainly come back. It was a perfect get away.

We would definitely recommend this condo. Bill was a wonderful host that provided a beautiful, clean condo with the most amazing views. We were even able to watch the dolphins swim close to the beach a few times. The beach service was awesome and the pool next to the condo was a bonus. It is also close to some great restaurants. We had a great vacation!

Amazing location with incredible ocean views.
This property will not disappoint if you are looking for a condo right on the beach! Pros: Extremely clean and sanitary, quick response from owner, very comfortable beds, and best location in Destin West! Cons: Destin West as a whole is in need of an update. The elevator at end of the complex is broken and makes it very inconvenient to head to the beach if you do not want to use the stairs. While the unit is spotless, it is definitely in need of some TLC. The furnishings are new and up to date, however, the bones of the condo could use some renovations. There are holes in the walls where pictures used to hang, paint falling off of the ceiling, and some rotted wood on baseboards.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay, but I do think that the pictures are not completely accurate in terms of the wear and tear on the structure of the condo. With a little updating and new paint etc, this unit could be a 5 start rental.

Great location. Property Needs “Refreshed”
Stayed at Destin West several times over the past few years and truly enjoy the amenities. That being said, the property is beginning to look “tired”. The condo itself and the property is in need of some attention and updating. Also, the elevator being broken all week near the gulf front condos was a real bummer and inconvenient. The owners are great to work with and would recommend their properties.

This condo has an amazing view of the ocean which we saw dolphins daily near the shore! The location to the Boardwalk with all the shops and restaurants was within walking distance and the pools and hot tubs were great! So much to do here or just relax and enjoy the beach!

Great place to celebrate anything!
My husband and I came to celebrate our 30th anniversary and I have to say the place did not disappoint!! The view was spectacular! Can't say enough nice things about the place! Well stocked and clean. Dealing with Bill, the property owner/manager was wonderful. He was very personable and quick to answer/respond when we had a couple questions. He made a special trip to furnish new beach chairs that had been broken by a previous tenant. The entire stay/experience just made our anniversary so very special!! Will definitely stay again if/when we make it back to the area! Thank you, Bill!!

Nice getaway
Overall a good visit. A few issues as the beach chairs were not included as indicated in the description. That caused a lot of confusion in day 1. However the property manager quickly responded and made sure we were take care of.

Quickie weekend stay
Had a great time, even if it was only over a long weekend with my wife. The condo was literally right on the beach and had a direct elevator to both the swimming pool and the beach. Accommodations also included a personal beach umbrella and chairs that were perfectly distanced from others. The boardwalk was an easy 5 min walk away for lunch and dinner.

Everything you could want PLUS the amazing view
This rental was nothing shoty of spectacular. There was elevator access directly in front of the door. Very short walk to 2 pools, plus a short walk across the breezeway to the lazy river. The condo had everything we needed with plenty of room for our family of 4. The walk to the grills and beach were so close and easy. The view was breathtaking. We will be contacting again to make this our regular spot for vacationing.

Lovely condo with plenty of room. My kids loved the bunk beds in the nook. I loved the balcony. So easy to get to beach and pool. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Short drive to Destin. Check in was simple, parking was easy, and Bill was quick and responsive to my questions. Was the perfect place for our first visit to Destin area and we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect condo for beach vacation!
We loved staying at this condo! We’ve stayed in Destin quite a few times but this is by far the best place we’ve stayed! The condo is just across the bridge from Destin so still close enough if we wanted to go to Destin. The views from the covered balcony on the top floor were amazing! It fronts to the beach so we could enjoy listening to the waves and seeing the beach and gulf with unobstructed views. We also enjoyed the Wed night fireworks from pier From the balcony. The lazy river was an added bonus and just a super quick walk across the pedestrian bridge. The complimentary beach service was awesome! There are normally 2-3 rows of chairs and umbrellas, if you want front row you should be in line when they open. Depending on the tide, some days we were happy to be in 2nd row as we watched quite a few peoples towels, bags and etc. get soaked when the waves would roll in and they seemed surprised. It happened to us one time but it’s part of the fun. We’ve learned to keep phones and cameras in ziplock bags to keep water and sand from ruining them. There were multiple pools but we only used the large one right next to the condo. We didn’t have to leave very often but when we did, it was conveniently located to restaurants, grocery and liquor stores & shopping.
Bill and Shelly were very professional and great to work with in all phases of the process. Once the condo was cleaned and ready they texted us to let us know. They checked to be sure everything was as we expected once we arrived. We had no complaints and were very happy with the condo. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back!!

We feel very lucky to have found this gem. It was clean and spacious. Very nice hosts. Amazing location and could see the dolphins from the balcony! We didn’t have much reason to leave the property. Beautiful place.

Beautiful Views!
This was our third time at this condo, and it doesn't disappoint! The views are absolutely gorgeous (pier, fireworks, empty beach), the onsite activities are great for adults and kids (pools, lazy river, jet ski rental, beach side bar next door), and Bill is incredibly nice to work with! I highly recommend this rental. I'm sure we will be returning next year!

This was our 4th vacation in Florida and Okaloosa Island / Ft. Walton Beach did not disappoint! The beaches and surrounding area were pristine. Our stay at Destin West Beach Resort was perfect. Our family stayed in G#602, the condo was clean, well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies, had very comfortable beds, a nice variety of furniture on the balcony that we enjoyed nightly and access to great swimming pools. This rental also includes two beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach that we were able to reserve for the week. Right outside the condo, you could rent kayaks and Waverunners, which we did with our teenagers and they thoroughly enjoyed it. We took also advantage of several restaurants at The Boardwalk which is fantastic because it is within walking distance. The view from G#602 is truly unbelievable! We could see for miles, enjoyed seeing sunsets over the pier and the sound of the waves right from the condo. Bill & Shelley were super to work with as well, provided info for some of their favorite restaurants and activities and were very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely recommend this condo for a memorable and fun family vacation!
