Everything was perfect. Website description is accurate - this place is right on the beach! Nothing between the condo and the water but a sand dune. Home owner had excellent communication, answering all my questions before we made our trip to Sanibel. Condo comes with 5 beach chairs, an umbrella and various other beach accessories. Property has gas grills, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, bikes - all included with your stay. The staff was welcoming and the island is amazing. No ferris wheels, no boardwalks, no loud music. Just sand, shells, beautiful water and an island that has been kept nearly to it's original habit. Thanks for helping us make great memories and have a great vacation!

We traveled by plane and had a rental minivan. Ages ranged from 14 to 71. We enjoyed the view, the amenities and the communication. Our only concern was the steps for the eldest of our group. We're thankful we weren't on the unit above. We couldn't have asked for a better first VRBO experience!

This was a great condo for us, right on the beach with a pool, quiet end of the island walkable or rideable to dining and shopping options. We loved everything about it and our hosts were amazing as well! The bikes were handy as well, Our kids loved it and we would definitely come back again!

The first thing that strikes you is the amazing view from the patio ! Sitting on the patio having coffee in the morning is amazing, the sound of the ocean , the birds and the tranquility gives a sense of peacefulness! The pool is spacious for lounging and perfect for catching that glorious sun ! The quick access to the beach allows you to walk, search for shells or simply enjoy the beauty of nature that Sanibel and especially the Shell Island property gifts you . All this and a perfectly appointed condo surpassed my expectations.

Property was very nice and just as advertised. We really enjoyed being near the Lighthouse and Fishing Pier. This is a very nice condo on a convenient spot on the beach. Thank you.

We have been coming to Sanibel/Captiva regularly since our honeymoon 30 years ago. This property stands out for its great views from the screened in porch and the master bedroom. This is a nice, quiet end of the island. The property is a short walk or bike ride to the lighthouse, fishing pier, a few shops and restaurant. The marina and Grandma Dot's is close by as well. The condo is well equipped with comfortable, high quality furniture throughout. The owners provide nice lightweight beach chairs, and we saw noodles, floats and other toys families with children would appreciate. Bikes are included as well, which is a real plus. Two minor nitpicks: Provide some plastic glasses for carrying drinks to the pool/spa. Also, provide some hooks for hanging towels in the master bath. Building 6 is conveniently located with a short walk to the beach and easy access to the pool area. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and loved the hot tub on the cool days. Anyone with limited mobility should be aware there are a lot of steps. Parking is a bit of a hassle. The dedicated parking for this unit is under the building in a tight spot. Our neighbors moved in with a large pickup truck on the second or third day making our spot inaccessible. There's plenty of surface parking available, so this is not a deal killer. The weather wasn't great, but the views and the nice accommodations were so nice that it didn't spoil the trip. We will be back!

We loved our stay at the condo in Shell Island! The location could not be beat...steps from the pool and ocean. Amazing views from the screened in porch! The condo was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed.

Weather was perfect. Great location on the beach with everything you need just a short walk or bike ride away. Plenty of bikes to use for the whole family. Great place. We would definitely stay again!

This condo is in the perfect location in Sanibel and has amazing views. The inside space is clean and comfortable although a bit outdated. However the outside space is worth every penny. Just a short walk to the beach and ocean, a spectacular pool and hot tub and all the activities you could want. The washer and dryer were broken upon arrival, however the vacation club offered to do our laundry for us. The check in is off site but is easy and the staff was great. Note - this is a raised first story so there are a lot of steps. Parking is a little tricky. We’d definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The place was clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities that my family with 3 kids needed. Loved the view of the ocean and location.

We own 2 weeks at Shell Island in the spring months and were so excited to find a week to rent this fall for my mom’s 65th birthday. The unit is impeccable and perfect for families- beautifully decorated, easily accessible, and loads of pool and beach toys for the kiddos. Already looking in to renting again next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a very comfortable condo. It included everything we needed and the location and beach access was wonderful. The only downfall is the assigned parking space which we found difficult. This was remedied however by just parking in the visitor lot a few hundred yards away - not a big deal at all. I did report upon leaving that the beach chairs needed replacing so hopefully that has been accomplished.

Almost everything about the unit and the location was just as advertised, which is to say nearly perfect. It's right on the beach, 2 bedroom, comes with great beach stuff (chairs, umbrella, beach towels, etc). Washer/dryer in unit is HUGE for beach vacations. The condo association the unit is part of is very welcoming to guests of VRBO/Island Vacations. There were bikes available for use (a serious value) and the usual amenities (pool, sauna). If I were forced to find a criticism it would be that there was no shampoo! Just soap. But the unit also came stocked with dish and laundry detergent, which was a real plus. We honestly had nothing to complain about. A+ for sure.

Best family vacation by far!

Great place to stay. Was very clean and had everything we needed. Full kitchen with all supplies. We enjoyed having the fishing poles, chairs and beach supplies. Close enough to the beach and not too crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
