We had a great stay. The property is very nice and has everything you need. Called the property manager for an oven issue and they were very responsive. Nice spot on the lake and lots of amenities including a fat groundhog and a bunch of chipmunks

Property location is really nice. The dishes, silverwares can be more cleaner though but I like the fact that they have everything I need in the kitchen. Not a big fan of the barn door in the master bedroom. Overall though we love the property and enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again.

Prior to check I had read more reviews of the property which triggered some concerns. I addressed my concerns with the host and was assured that my concern/issue would be addressed. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see that my concern/issue had indeed been addressed allowing me and my friends to enjoy our mini vacation. The property is located in a excellent location and we enjoyed it immensely.
I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Great location and outdoors
The house was not very clean. I tried to overlook the black handprints around light switches, on doors and on the broken kitchen cabinets. Overall it didn’t feel clean. A dresser in the master bedroom had thick dust on it.
The outdoors was great. Able to walk into the lake, dock slip, hot tub, fire pit and plenty of chairs. My kids could even play a small game of wiffle ball on the lakeside yard

Peaceful and Relaxing
We had a wonderful week at Summer Haven. The ski slopes are very close and this house was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook meals. We really loved our experience.

Comfortable
The location of the house was wonderfull and full of amenaties. I stayed there with my wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. We were very comfortable in the house. However, like most places that I stay they are never clean enough for me, so we cleaned as soon as we arrived.

Family Weekend
We really enjoyed the location of the house and our time there. The lake was beautiful and the house had everything we needed. But the dust inside the home was awful. We have persons with dust allergies and they were having some trouble dealing with that. It was very costly for the house rental place for it to be in such need of a good cleaning.

We had an awesome stay at Summer Haven - just one minor issue; the fire pit which is very important to our autumn weekend was buried under the docks that were pulled out of the water. I called and the service rep said she would see what she could do and get back to me but we never heard back. We made do. Also - the extra sheets in the house only fit a twin bed - the pull out sofa is at least a full. Again, we worked it out and everything was quite wonderful - thank you so much!

Property is great for large families and gatherings. Everything you need to have a cozy, relaxing vacation. The property is alittle dated but everything was functional, stocked and clean. Definitely recommend.

This was the 4th year we have rented Summer Haven. The location can't be beat and the views are amazing. We love the large yard and lake access. The home itself is nicely sized for a week vacation. The kitchen cabinets are a bit challenging (nothing stays open by itself!) and there's not much available storage space. The mattress are pretty awful, especially the master king and the bunk beds. Other than that, great house, great location.

We rented the house having no idea how many would be coming and as it turned out, we had 11 spread over different days with some overlap. The bedrooms worked great. The one thing we missed was more living space as the kitchen, dining room and living room are combined in a very small area. Loved the Master in the basement!

Location, location, location. Pros: Perfect wooded spot on the lake, a little beach area, fire pit, nice lawn by the lake. Great for lazy lake days. Fun to watch chipmunks, ducks, and whistle-pigs in the yard. The upper deck is lovely. Taylor-Made is a great property management company, very helpful. The property was mostly clean. Most of the property seemed well maintained. Nice size and room for bigger groups, but still everyone can have their own space. The views are great from any room in the house. Quite part of the lake. Boat traffic is fun to watch drive by. The hot tub is like new and was very clean. The retractable awning on teh deck is nice. Cons: The basement shower plumbing needs work, only hot water comes out of the wall shower head. The bed in the basement is loud with ANY movement, even rolling over at night makes a loud enough noise to wake people up. The fridge drips water from the top and freezes items. Basement bathroom tub jets need some bleach, they were very dirty. The new jet ski docks detract from the pleasantness of the docks and cause the dock to be uneven (raised on one side) making it not comfortable to spend time on. One member of our party cut his toe on the mounting hardware for new the jet ski docks. The bear box does not prevent bear access: a bear knocked over the box, opened the lid, and made a mess. The WiFi is unreliable and requires a lot of coaxing to keep working. The TV in the main living room is undersized. Hot tub head rests could use a good scrub or replacement. Trees near the upper deck could use some care--they are overgrown, block views, and have some hanging limbs. Some light bulbs need replacing.

We loved the location of Summer Haven and it was the right size for our group of 8, though the living area did get a little crowded. It rained a lot on our visit, so we were all inside more than we would have liked. The furniture is old and some could use cleaning (i.e. upholstery on an armchair showed stains where heads rest against it). The dishwasher also broke during our stay. The rental company was quick to check it out, but could not fix it, so they provided paper plates & cutlery. Their idea, not ours, so I appreciated that. The yard and dock are amazing. Shady in the yard until early afternoon and plenty of chairs to sit on. The awning on the deck came in handy during all the rain. All in all a nice house, but it could use some updates. I'd stay again for the location.

This was the first time renting a house in Deep Creek so we don't have anything to compare it to, but the house was perfect for our family vacation! There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. There are only a few minor maintenance items; however, overall, the property is well maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Summer Haven over New Year's Eve and were delighted to have a nice snow storm while we there. The house is so close to the lake, and close to Wisp. We were very impressed that the inclined driveway and parking area outside of driveway were plowed while we were out and the walkways shoveled. We will definitely consider staying at this house again! Thanks!

We had a beautiful fall weekend staying at Lovely Summer Haven( Autumn Haven for us!) The home is adorable and the fire pit for cool fall evenings was perfect!!! Lunch at the Silver Tree Restaurant was delicious, cocktails while listening to a great band at the Honi Honi was fun, and barbecue sandwiches at Archies after a hike at Swallow Falls hit the spot!

Had a very enjoyable stay at Summer Haven. It is a nicely laid out property with excellent lake front area. When we had an issue with the hot tub and smoke detectors, the Taylor Made staff were responsive, friendly, and took care of the issues very promptly. The boat dock could use some improvement - it is quite rickety. Also, I suggest that those staying in the bottom floor master suite not plan to use the shower in the suite's bathroom. It is a tall Jacuzzi tub and thus not easy to climb in and out of. Since I am short, I really had to straddle the tub to get in and out. Also, the shower curtain was quite stained. It wasn't a big deal though as my husband and I just used one of the other showers in the house.

We had an awesome family/birthday vacation ever!The location was perfect! We brought our paddle board and kayak. Close to everything we wanted to do. The management company was good. A couple of things could have been better, the ice maker didn't work, the hot tub was not checked mid-week, and the comforters were not clean. So we just washed blankets for us to use at night.

Overview: A great lakeside place for the family. The Pros outweigh any cons. PROS: ~ Location, location location: This is THE spot. Great dock in a great, active, location on the lake, nice yard with even a little zero entry beach for yourself. The lake is active with boating and recreation, the neighborhood is quiet and sleepy. Perfect. Great runs on the road. We can't say enough about how great this location is. Perfect for getting away from it all yet being in touch with all the area has to offer. ~ Hot Tub: It seems brand new, stays at temp, stayed clean the whole week. ~ Stocked: Everything you need to have a great vacation. Games, kitchen apparatus, outdoor fun apparatus ... it's all there. ~ Roomy: plenty of room for a big group to be comfortable. The downstairs master is GREAT. Plenty of spaces for both big gatherings of folks, but also places inside where you could get away and get some privacy if you wanted. ~ Facilities: The HVAC, plumbing, windows, lighting, and appliances all worked well. ~ Comfort: The couches were comfortable. CONS: ~ The Tech: The WiFi never worked right the whole trip; don't plan a working vacation here, don't plan to use a streaming service, this place is not for those who wish to stay connected. Cell service is poor. TV in the main room is wobbly. ~ Toilets: They are small--not large enough for most modern adults. ~ Cleaning: The linens were all great. The windows were ok. The restrooms were ok. The entire space could use dusting. ~ Broken Stuff: Some chairs, beds, etc are in need of repair ~ Landscaping: Generally needs work all around. Trees are overgrown; they block view/light & touch the roof in spots. Parking curbs have settled into the driveway. Some driveway erosion.

My family and I have been regular renters of this property over the past decade, however, many things are beginning to show much wear and in some instances neglect. We appreciate the property very much ... its idea location, tranquil and cozy setting, and many of the amenities the home has to offer. It would be a shame to see such a nice home degrade to the point I would no longer wish to stay.
