Charming older house, nicely renovated. Worked very well for our family of five adults. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked — appliances, pots, pans, dishes, etc. Lovely secluded lot with fire pit.

While this quaint cottage boasts many nice features such as the sizeable kitchen and outdoor area, closer inspection on the condition of the home leaves a lot to be desired.
From the moment we checked in the home had a very musty smell and felt very damp. Closer inspection revealed some serious moisture and mold issues in the downstairs bathroom. Even the furniture in the living room felt and smelt musty and damp. A dehumidifier and some mold removal are a must.
Sitting outside on the back patio was nice, but you do need a great amount of strength the open the back door. We also couldn’t leave the door open as the storm door had holes in the screen and with the many mosquitoes around they would have filled the house.
The air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom was appreciated, but it does drip onto the deck below, careful where you sit.
The general cleanliness of the place was good. The beds were comfy and linens were fresh, but like I said closer inspection revealed there is a little more going on with this property that needs some attention. We were glad our stay was only two nights.

This house is cute with lots of character. It is on a quiet street and very private. Eric was quick to reply to any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again!

For something so close to everything you could need you feel like you're miles away from the world. Everything we forgot to pack we could find. The property was secluded and peaceful. My kid and dog had an amazing time on the property and I hope to book it again. Clean and peaceful. Highly recommend

Old yet very cozy cottage at the end of a quiet street. Perfect for a nice relaxing vacation which is exactly what I needed. Huge yard for the puppy to run around in.

A whole lot of charm, clean and well stocked.
Location was ideal, quiet and close to the Big Head river. Plenty of towels for our family. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Fun with great adventure. Clean home. Comfy beds with great bedding. Pet loving with all kinds to explore. Hiking trails everywhere in walking distance and close too by car. Memorial Park Beach 6 min drive for all to enjoy with pooch. Meaford Public Beach 5 min walking distance. Everything all in one place. Just bring yourselves and have a blast. Thank you Eric for renting out your lovely home. :)

I stayed here with my dog who loved the huge garden and freedom to run off leash. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly need. Eric made the process of booking really easy and I would highly recommend

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood close to downtown. Well appointed and clean. Could use a ac unit/ floor fan in the living room.

We had a great time, visiting with family that live in the area. The house easily accommodated our grandchildren and our pet. The neighbourhood is quiet and adjacent to a lovely forest.

What a great place! Very convenient location with a 5 minute walk to a little river and maybe a 15 minute walk to downtown Meaford. The back yard is huge and the fire pit was a great perk! We didn’t get the chance to use the back patio and bbq but everything was just really nice.
The kitchen was fully stocked and must have been recently renovated because it all looked so new. Very very clean

The house is located in a nice, quiet and friendly neighborhood. I really enjoy the big backyard with lots of trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. It had 3 good size bedrooms. I really liked the one with the 3 single bedrooms. The whole house was very neat and clean. I think the deck needs some update. Unfortunately we had our nice vacation cut short by some terrible news we received.

We had the best time. The backyard is huge. My dogs loved it! The fit pit was amazing too. You are really close to the water but have the privacy of a property surrounded by trees. The little town was so cute! We went out to pub, had vegan ice cream, went to the beach, drove to neighbouring towns for more activities. It was the best. Everything you need is on site. Cooking ware, laundry and shower. We loved it! Thank you for having us.

Great location cute place
Our family (spouse and two adult children) planned on doing some hiking in the blue mountain and Wiarton region and this place was a great in between. It was very clean, had all the necessities of home (minus a lighter for night time fires - but we left ours behind for the next visitors) and had a beautiful backyard that our dog loved playing frisbee in.

Our family getaway at Meaford
We had a wonderful time at the cottage which was v welcoming and we had an enjoyable stay. The place had all the conveniences we needed and was extremely clean. The backyard opened onto a serene lot so perfect for a getaway. Kudos to Eric for an excellent stay.

Great walking areas close by
The house is cozy and old with updated kitchen and bathrooms. There is a big grassy area to enjoy in the back. The house is on a quiet street without through traffic. The walk to town is short.

We needed a place to stay while attending our reunion. We had a great time in and around Medford and plan to visit again. The house had everything we needed.

Great cozy and spacious cottage !
My friends and I stayed at Eric's place for 9 days throughout Christmas and New years. It was a great stay overall; Eric responded very fast to all the inquiries, house was clean, had all the utensils and being able to do he laundry was a bonus for us. About 25 mins away from blue mountain and Collingwood which isnt too bad. I would definitely recommend Eric's place

Older home with charm
While this has the look and feel of an older place, Eric has done a good job on making the decor interesting. The kitchen is large, modern and well equipped. Shower is modern with plenty of hot water. The location is quiet at the end of a cul-de-sac, and the property is large. Lots of reasons to like this place.

Great location, great outdoor space for rustic experience
The place was charming and located in a great place, but definitely could have benefitted from some upkeep and cleaning was sub-par. BBQ filthy. :(

Escape from the city
Our second stay here so we settled in quickly and know the neighbourhood. So nice to return to the familiar. Nothing has changed. Our Labradoodle also enjoys the backyard freedom and swimming in Georgian Bay! As avid road cyclists we spend a much of our time riding around the region - the roads and profile are ideal!!! Eric is always helpful and responsive although we’ve never actually had any issues to deal with. I hope we can return again soon!

Excellent neighbourhood and cottage
Great location. Fabulous backyard. Old but well maintained house.. good for 6 to 8 people. Nice decorated and well equiped.

Nice, cozy place
We spent a few days during the winter in this home. The house is very clean and comfortable. There is enough space for 6 adults and 2 kids.
During the winter we couldn't enjoy the backyard, which is huge, but the house is located almost in the center of Meaford.

Great Family Time
If you are expecting 5 star luxury move on...but if you are looking for rustic country character full of adventure then this location is perfect. In the evenings there is a big kitchen table where the whole family could sit, laugh and play games. Everything was as advertised. It is a quiet location within walking distance to the town center. Lots of hiking trails close by, and a great place to call home base as you explore the area.

Nice character house with a good updated features. Great back yard with a fire pit and tree swing for the kids.
Eric was very responsive to any inquiries.
Meaford is also a very nice town.

A nice cozy home
There were 5 of us so the number of bedrooms worked out perfectly. While the living room and kitchen were a bit too small for us as we kept bumping into each other, the kitchen table had more than enough seating and we spent most of our time on the deck and in the yard. We really like how the trees lined the perimeter of the yard creating a private area for us at the firepit. We also liked that we were in walking distance of the hiking trails, LCBO, restaurants and the water.

Beautiful home
Our stay at Eric's place was phenomenal. The place is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. The location is superb. Walking distance to the main city and 20 min to blue Mountain. Would stay here again and again!

Great place to stay
Everything is provided at the cabin for a great trip! Kitchen is fully stocked, paper towel and toilet paper are supplied. The backyard is amazing and a great place to hangout and watch the stars near the fire!
