The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. We got snowed in and had to add two more days to our stay. The rental company was very accommodating. My only complaint about the house is that the kitchen is not stocked very well. There was not enough silverware or glassware. The pots and pans were very old and worn. Other than that the house was really nice and the rental company was very helpful. Great location if skiing at Northstar.

Convenient and comfortable
The large, windowed living room and the ease of access to multiple ski resorts make this house a good choice. That it takes pets makes it a great choice. The fact that it has been a couple decades since the house was been renovated was not an issue because it was tastefully done when it was built and so it just made it feel a bit more relaxing that not everything was perfect.

We have rented this house for several years and absolutely love it. It answers all of our needs as a family of avid snow skiers. On the negative side, it is sad to see the home slipping into a state of disrepair. The exterior is in need of new stain,the furniture is becoming worn and some of the interior walls could use a fresh coat of paint.

Review of lookout lodge
Could have been a bit cleaner. We wiped down all the light switches upon arrival and they were dirty. Other than that the house is very large and comfortable with lots of activities. The host was very responsive and made our stay enjoyable. I must say the check out tasks are a bit more than most rentals but doable.

Wonderful
We rented this house for a week. The house is absolutely gorgeous with everything you need. We had two families, 10 of us. There was plenty of room for everyone. The game room was a great place to hang for the 12 year olds. The hot tub was amazing with the views. The other deck also had incredible views while bbqing. My husband loved that. It was also nice to be able to park in the garage and unload all of our stuff when we came back from the lake. Great location with it being close to town but not in the super crowded neighborhood. There is also a side yard where the kids liked to throw the football around or just play outside safely. We had a wonderful time.

Place needs work. Not real clean. Too few towels, soap, etc. BBQ dirty. Had to change propane tank. Solar on roof leaks, dripping onto living room floor (after moving furniture). Place is tired and needs work inside and out. Good location.

Beautiful house with great game room (pool, football,ping-pong) great for family fun. Nice hot tub. Huge kitchen well stocked. Kings beach really nice area. Management service not very responsive to text messages. But otherwise would highly recommend recommend for group or family.

Great house and location for large family gatherings. Very close to Kings Beach, Truckee and North Star. They provided enough bath and kitchen towels and kitchen supplies. They have lots of games for kids. There were a few thing that needs to be improved. The dryer did not work well, bar stools were wobbly and the frying pans very old and falling apart. The Property management company were great came out right away to fix the bar stools and broken out door patio table.

I stayed for two nights with 9 friends. We had a great time. The home comes with 8 beds, but is so spacious you could sleep 15 if extra people brought sleeping bags. There is a foosball table and Wii U for kids to play with. Hot tub easily seats 4 people. I stayed during the summer but would love to come back for a winter trip.

Everything in this home was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Great location and there was so much stuff in the home. Lots of towels, toilet paper, dishes, crock pot, utensils and etc. Lots of board games, console games, TV, movies, books, ping pong table, foosball table and a pool table. I would have given the home a 5 star, however, when we tried to go into the hot tub, it was not warmed up. It was set at 57 degrees and we had to warm it up. We googled how long that was going to take and it said 12-24hr. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not ready for us to go in, especially since we found out on our last night there. There was also no dish soup in the house. We ran most of the dishes in the dish washer but there was no soup for non-dishwasher safe items.

My friends and I go up to Tahoe annually for a long weekend of scrapbooking, reading, movie watching, cooking, etc.. This is a beautiful home with modern amenities. We had lots of room to spread out with our activities in the great room. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen there and found everything we needed. The one time we needed maintenance, which was with one of the heating units in a bedroom, the management service had someone there within 10 minutes. It's a nice neighborhood for going on walks and a quick drive to the lake. We will definitely be going back to this house!

Location of house is very good if you are spending time at Kings Beach. The game room is good for kids. The furniture on the main level is very poor.Bar stools are dangerous & no their is no good seating for watching TV. Stairs are not good if you have older people with you. Would not stay at this house again.

This house had lots to offer, even for the little ones (2-2yrs olds). We liked that the bedrooms were on all different levels, gave everyone their own space. We really enjoyed the kitchen and living room, as we all had room to hang out while eating, cooking, and watching tv. There are so many things to do in this house, games, toys for the little ones (thank you !!!) hot tub, pool table, movies, reading, sitting on deck enjoying the view, and even exercising, along with bike riding, ping pong. The house is very well maintained, lots of space, and a great location. Definitely will be looking at this house again to rent next season. Great property and the ladies at the rental office are awesome. I will be back! **Only downside, was would have liked to have more seating in the living room. there is only 1 couch, and 2 big bean bag chairs, for such a large house that can accomodate many people, not enough seating in living room.

This house had everything, a great location, plenty of room, entertainment for the kids at the end of the day (pool table, ping pong, foosball, etc.). The hot tub was a great place to relax after our days out. The house was clean and had everything we would ever need in the kitchen. The only complaint: we were there during a heat wave and with no A/C and only two fans the upstairs got very hot during the day and didn't really cool down at night. All in all this was an EXCELLENT experience. We would definitely consider renting this home again on our next visit.

This is a beautiful home that we rented directly from the owner in 2013. He is a stone mason and this house is absolutely gorgeous. In July, 2015, we rented from Tahoe Resort Properties. They were efficient, professional and consistent in service from initial contact through the end of our stay. We originally expected 9 and ended up with only 6 in our group to stay the nights. This property served our purposes well as there is ample public area. The balconies/decks are a definite plus as you can enjoy nature and see the lake in the distance. The neighborhood is quiet yet not too remote. The kitchen was fully equipped for 12 guests, just do remember to bring the spices that you enjoy. There is also a BBQ on the deck that we used. We were able to invite friends over to enjoy meals together as well as the property. A binder of "What to do in Tahoe" was very helpful. We also had a wonderful dining experience at Soule Domaine, 9983 Cove St, Kings Beach, CA 96143, Should we be in the area again, we would definitely consider renting this property.

We had a wonderful vacation experience. The house itself was beautiful and spacious with a great view! Our families rented two houses but, when indoors, most of our time was spent in this house due to the space and amenities. The one MAJOR disappointment was not having access to ESPN for our weekend football games. While the TVs and related equipment were all top of the line, the cable package was from the dark ages with only the bare minimum in channels available. The homeowners obviously do not realize the importance of football season to their American renters and should consider the $60/year additional cost (according to our research) a solid investment in attracting return customers. The property management company was wonderful to work with and incredibly helpful during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property with the disclaimer that there is limited cable access for sports viewing - might make a difference during college football playoffs!!
