Amazing property amazing people!!

Very nice, warm and comfortable home. Made the perfect place for the boys family fishing trip! We will be back!

Our son and three grandchildren joined us at this home over the 4th of July. With two living areas and a great patio area, it is very spacious and comfortable for families. Our grandchildren, ranging in age from 12 to 18, loved having their own area. The home is located a short walk from the Pacific Crest trailhead and is close to town, though not walking distance. The kitchen is very well-equipped, as is the rest of the home. We do recommend that guests bring all food as shopping is very limited. This home is a comfortable, relaxing home base for exploring the truly beautiful area surrounding it.

Easily accommodated 3 outdoorsy couples and was close to so many places to hike with great views. The house had everything we needed.

Everything was as expected and Erin is super-responsive. We had friends and family in the area so it worked out beautifully. Very well-stocked kitchen, though we mostly ate out at restaurants. Had fun playing with the Foosball table and even eventually beat my son at it!

The place is better than pictures show - it's clearly an older house, however it is clean, bathrooms are not terribly outdated, everything we needed was there, and everything worked. It can fit 7~9 ppl, including up to 6~7 adults, I'd say 3 couples comfortably + up to 3 kids: you get 1br with Queen bed + 2xTwins on the first floor, shared bathroom on the first floor as well, then master br + bath on the second floor, and 2 more bedrooms on the second floor that are built so that you have to go through first one to get into second. People in those bedrooms also have to use bathroom on the first floor, or go through master br to get into the bath on the second floor. The place has 2 decks on the second level to see the sky and stars + some socializing space with grills & fireplace on the first level. Two living rooms, one on each floor. No garage, yard space is minimal. All in all, it's comfortable with nice updates, nothing fancy, but then again you should not expect to find a 5-star hotel in Sierra City - instead, nature and outdoors are spectacular. Absolutely stunning waterfall is within a walking distance from the house, and several beautiful lakes are 5~10min drive away.

From the get-go of booking this property I had told Erin we were hoping for a white Christmas, she responded quickly letting us know that may not happen because weather is always unpredictable. As we got closer to Christmas and saw the snow we were all excited but none of us expected what we got! Power went out on Christmas night and into the next day and we actually got snowed in but even with all that happening the house was prepared! The heater still works without power the house is filled with lanterns, games and movies...everything you would need! The neighbors were so sweet they even came and checked on us! All around a very amazing experience.

The house was a perfect Thanksgiving getaway. There was issue with the downstairs heater not turning on but the owner quickly contacted us to resolve the issue and turned out to be an easy fix! My 5yr old was upset because we had to go home so we will definitely be returning!

This "cabin" was large, (really a full size house) perfect for the 8 of us. Great location for our family reunion, easy to get too. Able to park 4 cars, around front of the house. Large screen windows, perfect large outside patio for sitting around after dinner. The kitchen was larger than I expected and had EVERYTHING we needed, and we cooked and visited a lot in it…easily could have 4-5 people cooking together. We loved bouldering, exploring the Yuba river and got a tip from a local neighbor, to finding public access. We spent a lot of time up at Sardine lakes. Also found horse back riding (wonderful horses up at Gold lake) and golfing fun. It was hot and smoky for the week, we were there, so plan accordingly, as there is no A/C in the mountains. The beds and sheets were oh so perfect.. We did NOT need the blankets! We didn’t use games tv, movies, because we were too busy playing outside, but could see it was well stocked for family with kids. The WiFi was fine/ adequate but everyone should expect it to be slow. We noticed the more devices on it would really bog it down. So we found 2 at a time improved speeds and we could chk email and send and receive important messages. Don’t expect to download movies, !! PG&E was considering shutting off electricity to the county (because of the fire danger) while we were there and the host communicated with us keeping us informed. No cell service in the valley, so suggest find ways to stay informed. Highly recommend this home. It was soo clean when we arrived. Couches and space so comfy. I can’t praise this Vrbo enough.

The house/cabin was super cute. It had everything needed for our stay, and more. Will recommend this place to friends, and will definitely stay here again.

We decided to go a different direction this year from our normal camping in the same area by renting this amazing gem. Perfectly located near all our favorite spots, this house was a great fit for our family. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, the two family rooms gave us plenty of space to spread out, and the outdoor seating with firepit was a great way to end the day! All in all we couldn't have had a better stay.

This was perfect for our mountain biking trip, there are very few other listings with 6 beds!! The photos really don’t do it justice. The location near the river is also great. We really enjoyed using the grill and the outdoor seating area. Thanks Erin! We will be back!

Had a wonderful stay. The house had plenty of room to spread out. Well stocked and clean. The only thing that I would have changed is: the winter bedding needed to be traded out for summer bedding. It was really hot at night with thick fuzzy sheets on the bed. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful area! Cute cabin and great for the kids as they had their own living space to hang out and watch TV. There was a card table that we could play games on and a foosball table! There were no issues with our dog staying there which is very much appreciated. Internet is extremely spotty so working or going to online school may not be successful. Other than that It was a great experience! Thanks Erin!

We needed a warm cozy location in Sierra City, and found it! A great place to disconnect and relax! An easy walk to the river. Big, clean kitchen! Internet sometimes slowed as mentioned, but that's common in the area.

Great cabin. The pictures don't give this cabin justice. It's cozy and cute. Lots of great snow to play in with the kids during our February stay. The home was well maintained and very clean. It was well stocked with amenities and the furniture was comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

All three couples in the group loved this sweet little cabin! Comfortable, clean, and everything you need. The fuzzy sheets on the beds were a huge hit- we all slept like warm little rocks! Check in was a breeze, owners were super communicative. Made sure we knew there was a potential power outage during our stay so we could plan accordingly. We will definitely be back!

We had a great family trip up to Sierra City and enjoyed our stay at Erin's home. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals at home. The cabin is in a quiet area and as remote as we felt, the wi-fi worked great for the folks who had to do some work on vacation. Can't wait to return and explore more of the surrounding mountains!

The cabin had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner which is saying a lot! The furniture was tasteful, the neighbors all very friendly and we really appreciated the fenced in front yard for our dog and two year old! Would come back and stay again.

I was given the task of finding lodging for my huge family over Labor Day weekend. 10 guests and a dog- maxing out the house! Erin said that it would be “cozy”, but the spacious little retreat had plants of room inside and out to entertain and find a moment of peace. The kitchen was stocked with any and all appliances the group could have wanted, and additional amenities were a pleasant surprise. The arrival and departure instructions were easy to follow and communications were on point! Erin made every effort to answer my questions and make my stress for planning a reunion for 24 - spread btwn 3 locations as simple as possible! Thanks so much Erin!! The entire family loves your place and will be back - in smaller groups!!!🤗

This home is fantastic for a large group or family. Plenty of space, two living rooms, and an extremely well stocked kitchen. Swimming in the North Yuba is a short walk away, the Pacific Crest Trail is just up the road, and it's a great home base for mountain biking Downieville and the Lakes Basin. We've stayed here many years now, and are always happy to come back!

Okay okay ...because downstairs heater is not working..we feeling cold with kids ....carpet is not clean...otherway is good...outside nature is beautiful.

This is the second time in five years we stayed at the house. So generously furnished with dish's, towels & bedding. We love it! The two separate living rooms work so well for groups. It was hot this time but the overhead fans and blinds worked. Coming from San Francisco I know air conditioning is needed so little, it's not a consideration. We enjoyed the front patio in early evening. We all brought camp chairs and there were plenty of others on site. Only used the bar b cue once but was nice to have. Wifi and cable a big plus for the 'younger' one's. We've stayed in many house's here and this is always our first choice if available. Patsy and Don Murphy and Family
