We come to Topsail each summer and this is the best house we've rented yet. The proximity to the town makes walking for Cora's or Lewis tacos a breeze, and when we need to go back across the bridge for something else it isn't an inconvenience. The covered decks make for great early morning and evening relaxation to the sounds of the waves.

We loved our stay at Stress Free By The Sea. We’ve made it a tradition over the last few year to meet my parents (from Ohio) in Topsail to spend time together over the holiday. Although the weather wasn’t the best, being right on the beach was such a lovely treat. The deck space is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for star-gazing at night and catching sunsets in the morning. We even saw a large pod of dolphins the morning that we left. The quaint town of Topsail is very walkable, complete with cute little shops and a few restaurants. We were able to walk to the corner to watch the Topsail Christmas Parade, which was way more fun than we expected!
The house itself was perfect for our family. We loved that ALL of our rooms were oceanfront (the kids were especially psyched). The kitchen had plenty of space for us to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal, and the round dining table was amazing for all the games we played.
Would definitely recommend Stress Free By The Sea & would love to return during warmer weather to enjoy it to its fullest!

We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Stress free by the sea’ property! Mike was responsive to all my questions prior to and during our stay. The thermostat went out on the main floor, but was fixed the next day (we understand things happen!) & it did not affect our stay one bit. I wish some linens (towels) were provided to avoid the overhaul/extra cost, but it was clear linens would not be provided from the description. Beautiful house, access to the beach and porches!

The house and the location were wonderful. We loved the house decor, easy access to the town of Topsail and most of all the oceanfront access and view. The owner was great, communication was seamless. Mother Nature did deliver a tropical storm, which caused us to loose a beach day, but will make an interesting story to share as part of our 2023 experience!

Our stay started off a bit rough as the downstairs HVAC went out the first day we were there (it was quite hot outside and in), but luckily it wasn’t major, and Mike was able to get it repaired quickly so it didn’t ruin our trip. During the ordeal he was responsive and reassured us he would get it taken care of. After that, the stay was incredible. All bedrooms have the beach so we all had great views and surf sounds in our rooms. The new deck is fantastic and we spent a majority out there. There is nothing like waking up early and sitting on the deck or easily stepping out onto the beach to watch the sunrise over the pier which is a short distance away. The beach is probably the best beach I’ve ever been to. The surf/beach is perfect for kids. The design of the house is ideal for families. Everyone has there own space but there is a ton of group space too. I really enjoyed the new benches around the kitchen table. Very easy to slide in and out for eating and games. The wifi and Roku boxes everywhere are great for other entertainment. If you want a relaxing stay that is totally focused on beach and family time, this is it.

Our first trip to Topsail Island was enhanced by the accommodations of Stress Free by the Sea. Everything was as advertised and then some. The pictures don’t do the home justice. The main living area is more spacious than it appears. The lower level is perfect for young families. And the deck is amazing. Literally steps from the beach. You can tell a lot of thought and effort was put in when it was built. The convenience of the deck shower/hose was invaluable. The kitchen has everything you need. The washer/dryer ran like a dream. The washer pressure was excellent. The water heater stayed hot for everyone’s showers post-beach. The only thing I would had like to had would be a ceiling fan in the bunk room for the kids. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, perfect for our young family. Lifelong memories were made. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

One of the best beach vacations we've ever had. Traveled with friends of ours who have been vacationing with us for over 20 years. Our adult children joined us. Room enough for everyone to have privacy, amazing location, and an incredible beach. The house has everything you need. The beach never felt crowded. Great weather every day.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay. We enjoy ocean front setting with minimal tourist attractions. Location was ideal for us. We like to cook in with 1 or 2 nights out. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.

This was our second trip to Stress Free by the Sea, and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. The oceanfront decks are amazing, and the inside flows well for our family of 7. We are already planning next year's stay!

This house was perfect for us. Right on the beach, with beautiful views from the deck. The house is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Good restaurants and shops nearby. A good first visit to Topsail!

This place is lovely and far superior to most. The common spaces are spacious, beach access is great, the decks are well designed and user friendly. Kitchen is well supplied and appliances are great. The decor looks like it may have been professionally done; the atmosphere seems upscale yet is welcoming. We love the place!

Very good environment. Very comfortable space for the 8 of us. Few little glitches, but that is expected.
1. Pictures of kitchen eating area should be updated on the site to show what is there now. We were disappointed with the bench seating, when expecting table and ind. chairs. We would have prepared better for the little kids.
2. Dishwasher was not emptied when we arrived.
3. There was only a few sheets of paper towels and very little paper on toilet rolls. That was a big inconvenience as we had to get that right away.
4. We would advise posting in instructions recommending that the blinds stay closed during the morning when the sun is beating in to help keep the rooms cooler. That was very helpful for us to do, especially in the living room/kitchen area.

Great for families!
We stayed here for a week with my sister’s family. Total, there were four adults and five kids ranging from 2-14. It was absolutely perfect! This part of the island is super low key and we loved that.

Perfect Beach Spot
It was a great location and the house had everything we need! Plenty of room, a great ocean-front balcony, beach chairs and toys, a grill, and access to the beach! Close to surf city and a few restaurants within walking distance!

Topsail getaway
We love Topsail. We have been visiting since 2009 and have stayed at many properties, Mike and Kathy’s is by far the cleanest, nicest and best located property that we have stayed at.

Lovely Property
It truly is "Stress Free by the Sea". Check in was easy, very well appointed kitchen and bedrooms, and of course, you can't beat the view and access to the beach right from the backyard. The back porch was perfect for dolphin watching!

'Stress Free By the Sea' Lives up to its name.
The property is very well maintained and everything looks new. Everything we needed was there. The kitchen is well stocked with all imaginable kitchenware and dining ware. The view of the beach is awesome from the upper floor. Beach access is simple.
We weren't sure how the check-in process worked, but the owner responded within minutes when I sent him an email using the link in the Vrbo site. He provided the easy instructions for touchless check-in.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. We would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Home was very nice, spacious, and well equipped.
Beds were very comfy, views were amazing and home was spacious with plenty of room to spread out it. Dishwasher didn’t seem to be cleaning dishes very well but I mentioned this to the owner and they will be addressing the problem soon. It wasn’t a huge deal though….we just hand washed everything. Would definitely book again in the future.

Wonderful Vacation Beach House
House has fantastic views of the ocean from all 4 bedrooms; all bedrooms have sliding glass doors. Coordinating outdoor furniture is outside of every bedroom and the great room. The owner has taken extreme steps to address any need that may arise. Plenty of hot water. Roomy spacious great room. The dishwasher ran but did not clean the dishes. We notified the owner about the dishwasher and feel confident that this will be repaired/replaced. Outside of the dishwasher everything was picture perfect. This is the first time that I have used VRBO or any other booking site, so I had some questions that a seasoned client would not have. Mike was very patient, answered all of my questions. This is a spacious beach house . Best beach house I have ever stayed at. Recommend for families and friends.

We rented for a long weekend with family and this house had everything we needed. It was clean, easy to find, and overall very good. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and beach chairs included.
