Room is in a great location in Amsterdam, close to public transportation and the center of things, but in a quiet and lovely area next to canals. Room was super comfy and had ample space for our luggage. The hosts are super communicative and helpful!

It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. the street was nice and quiet. The host greeted us and provided excellent suggestions for where to eat and places to see during our stay. There were little touches like welcome fruit and drinks upon check in after our busy commute.
It would have been helpful to have a bath mat to avoid water on the floor and directions for using the thermostat and ventilation in the bathroom.

i cannot find a fault with this property. The hosts are so friendly and helpful - great communication before my arrival, and also an extensive welcome pack with info about the neighbourhood.
The rooms are fresh, clean and tastefully renovated to the highest quality - also very practical with everything you could possibly need to stay a few days, or a few weeks (plenty plug sockets, crockery, cutlery, tea coffee etc.)
Located 20/25 minute walk from Centraal (towards the de Gooyer windmill) it is in a peaceful part of the city but not too far away from all the sights. and if you’re visiting the city you will be prepared to walk/cycle a lot anyway! there is a supermarket, great cafe and plenty other food options available within 5 minutes walk.

A gorgeous little room just a short bus ride away from the city centre. The neighbourhood is quiet, but with some lovely shops and cafes nearby. (We went to the Thai restaurant that's two doors down on our final night and it was FANTASTIC.) Lovely, helpful hosts, lovely clean room, just a lovely place!

The hostess were great! They were super attentive and did everything to make our stay comfortable. We arrived earlier than check-in time, but they offered to collect our bags so we could better enjoy the city.
The location was not so near the tourists spots, but we could use the public transportation to get there.

Very clean and comfortable property, had everything you could possibly need for a short stay.
The hosts were super helpful and gave us lots of information about the area.
There were lots of lovely touches on arrival like soft drinks in the fridge, coffee and tea, toiletries etc.
The hosts were very accommodating and provided us with an iron upon request and allowed us to store our luggage after check out.

The establishment does not offer breakfast, but good restaurants close by. Good coffee machine and kettle with good quality coffees and teas. Fridge and small table to eat by. Very good bed and linen!
There is nothing to heat food with, a microwave will help. Note that the ceiling is wood (charming and original) but sometimes noisy due to it also being the floor of the apartment above. The room is below ground level with limited views to the outside.

Superb location in Amsterdam. Away from the busiest streets but in a very cool, hip and picturesque area, with lots of restaurants, bars & shops within a short walking distance. The owners were very communicative and friendly. The room itself is very well-designed and had everything we needed for a short stay, including some very nice extra touches like cans of Coke, a small bottle of wine & chocolates.

Small but perfectly formed! Very smooth check in and out. The property was furnished beautifully and was so clean. High quality fittings and furnishings and very comfortable bed with lovely bedding. There is a fridge, kettle and coffee maker and supplies of tea, coffee water and even a little bottle of wine.

Very accommodating hosts, nicely decorated and outfitted basement apartment with garden view. Coffee was excellent!
Noisy water pump that turned on every time a tap was opened or the toilet flushed. We could also hear the family living above us, so it's not very well insulated from noise.

Adriënne & Boudewijn were brilliant hosts. We loved 23 Sous and would definitely return. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location is stellar, right by the zoo & lots of cafes. The chocolates & wine were a lovely touch as well - thank you. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

Very lovely, clean and perfectly located accommodation ran by a very nice family! We enjoyed our stay and can only recommend it when traveling to Amsterdam. The owners were exeptionally attentive and always available in case help/information was needed.
The only slightly negative point is that the basement room we stayed in is facing the street (as can be seen in the pictures). However, we found it not noisy and the curtains enabled privacy.

The room was very clean and bright, all materials of very high standard. Modern and cozy.
There were beatiful kitchen equipment for eating, but you had to do the dishes in the bathroom using your fingers to wash.
