Self check in was easy with great pre arrival instructions. Clean quiet condo with obvious attention to the “extras.” Beds were comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. There is snorkeling equipment, pool toys, beach towels, life vests for little ones, beach bags, chairs, and coolers so it was extra easy to have a day at the beach. View from the balcony is a bit obscured compared to what we thought we were getting, but beautiful nonetheless. The neighbors in the complex are extremely nice and welcoming. The pool area and beach behind the property is nice and well maintained. We got to know many of the neighbors cooking out at the grill since we unfortunately didn’t have power for 3 days following Tropical Storm Ernesto. Everyone was more than happy to share food, drinks and the only working power outlet! The only criticism is we arrived to a small amount of toilet paper or paper towels with no reserves, so we ended up going out to purchase those. Really a great place and we would stay here again next time we visit the island!

We were thrilled with our stay in this beautiful condo. The inside is absolutely beautiful, updated and well appointed. The air conditioning is actually top notch; in fact, we got a little cold initially! The furniture is super comfortable, the bed is great, and we felt super safe. The owners are very communicative and helpful and had a great guest book with lots of good suggestions. A few things to know:
The beach - if you are looking for white sand beaches...not here, BUT the beach is really nice and you can tell maintenance does a great job of keeping it very clean and seaweed free. I did a little snorkeling and saw plenty of life, which as a diver, made me very happy.
The location - for us, this was perfectly located. Easy drives to F-sted, the mid island area, and Point Udall. Super close to C-sted, plenty of options for food and groceries. We did rent a car which allowed us lots of freedom. We felt very safe and appreciated the gated community.

Fantastic condo, great for our family of four. Really appreciated all the surprise amenities that made our trip so much easier!! Enjoyed the central location and extremely responsive communication. Very glad for the recommendation to grab a rental car. Our first time on this island and it did not disappoint!!

A well located, large condo with a good view of the sea. Would be nice to have some large beach towels; otherwise, the condo was very well furnished, with a full well-equipped kitchen. However bring Keurig K-cups, as no store had them in stock! Not much of a beachfront for this condo complex, but the pool area was nice. We had some problems with the pedestrian gate until we learned that the code was not the same as used elsewhere. The Coral Sea restaurant next door was convenient and had good food and great cocktails on days it was open. We did not have a card, so we walked twice ~0.5 miles to the Five Corners area, where there is a large supermarket and family dollar store, and walked into Christiansted a couple of times (1.5 miles) for sightseeing, meals, shopping and a great food tour, as well as to Gallows Bay for some great Mexican food.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for getting around the island and the condo itself has been updated wonderfully. We spent most of our time out on the beautiful lanai. Beds were extremely comfortable.

Condo is a 3rd floor unit. Was as described. Everything seemed to be in working order. Nice view of ocean. Great outdoor balcony space. Very well equipped. They have a keurig as well as traditional coffee maker. Having washer&dryer in unit nice. Access to ocean was very nice. Beach area great- so many conch shells. My adult son thought the twin beds were a little small but overall unit was comfortable. We did not cook in unit but kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, dish ware, serving bowls, crock pot, microwave, toaster and dishwasher. Lots of beach towels, floats, beach chairs and games. This was my 4th trip to STX and for the price there is no place better. Property manager was very quick to respond. I would stay here again. Bar/restaurant next door was convenient. Food was good for hamburgers, salads & wraps.

We really enjoyed the location of Colony Cove. While we were there during Christmas Wind season (so we couldn’t use the beach due to riptides), the views from the balcony or sitting out by the beach were just beautiful. Great view of Buck Island. Can get anywhere in 30 minutes. We were able to tour the entire island during our short stay. The people living there are so very nice. I would definitely stay at this property again. Condo had everything we needed. Plenty of linens, kitchen items, AC worked great (we only used it at night as the breeze was enough if we opened the balcony door), parking was available right next to the stairs to the unit. We had a great time!

We came for our daughter’s family senior trip. We loved the island. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Everything was in good working order. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony. The guest book had lots of great information which was very helpful. We appreciated the snorkeling gear that was available. I read 2 of the Elin Hilderbrand books in her paradise series that were on the entertainment center. They were perfect for a USVI vacation! Overall, great stay, and would book again.

Place was great! Clean and had all necessities. Perfect distance between east and west points of St Croix. The only downside was the pool was not open. They were doing work on it which was of no fault of the owners of the condo. I definitely would stay again! Thank you! The guest book had lots of info on things to do and places to shop etc. which really helped as it was the first time to St Croix.

Perfect for us and our 2 adult children… condo was comfortable and clean and had beach chairs, coolers and beach towels which was very nice to have these extras! Close drive to town and supermarkets with a great porch and views to hang out on! The only disappointment was the pool area was closed the whole time we were there.

This condo exceeded our expectations. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home. It was hard to find breakfast or brunch places so we cooked breakfast every morning. The pool area was so nice and felt really private. The beach was beautiful and seeing the conch shells wash up every morning was my highlight of the beach. The beach isn’t great for swimming so definitely explore the island for other places but it was so relaxing. The staff was so friendly and kept the grounds beautiful. We met several of the neighbors who live there full time and they were delightful. We felt like we actually lived there for a week. The house is stocked with beach towels, floaties, snorkel gear, etc and the condo is beautifully decorated. We sat on the very large porch every morning and had a beautiful view of the water. We would go back in a heartbeat.
The only thing I would suggest is to get a better knife set. They were flimsy and dull and I cut myself when trying to cut a pineapple. Easy fix.

We loved our stay at Colony Cove! The island is spectacular. The condo was great. It had amazing views. It was clean and had everything we needed. We cooked breakfast most mornings and had all the pans and utensils that we needed. The views from the porch/deck was amazing. It was a short walk to the beach, which was like a tropical paradise. The only downside was that we couldn't actually access the water from this location because it was not exactly a traditional beach. It was rocky with a lot of seaweed looking stuff. I am not complaining, I am just making an observation. It would have been nice to have been able to access the water from this location. The actual gated area was very nice, clean and safe. However, the surrounding general neighborhood was a little sketchy. I still would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay.

This was our 2nd time to stay at Jewel of the Isle, we previously stayed here in 2018. My wife and I along with our two kids 16 & 19 stayed the week before Christmas. Everything was as well remembered it. Everything you could possibly need they have. Beautiful view from the balcony. Earl seems to always be around if you have any concerns we did not. I’m sure we will be back and staying here in the future.

I rented this unit to have a little more space for thanksgiving & it was perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a dishwasher and beautiful countertops. The unit was spacious and beautiful decorated with a beach theme. The pool area and garden were perfect for spending time with grandkids. They thought of everything, almost didn’t want to leave.

Quiet & Secured
The condo is centrally located in a gated community, and fairly easy to get to with the directions provided by the host and also GPS. There was visible security personnel the day that we arrived which added another level of comfort. Also all of the community maintenance workers that we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
The condo itself was clean and had everything that was needed from utensils to beach towels. :)
I reached out several times to Earl (host) with questions and received a prompt response each time.
The only reason that l did not give 5 stars was the early arrival of the Sargassum grass which due to the strong odor it exudes made the use of the beautiful balcony impossible. We also had to live with it inside the condo as the smell permeated the living room and kitchen areas. It finally lessened on the day that we left. :)
Overall, my sons enjoyed their time on St. Croix. We were able to attend the annual Agriculture Food Fair which due to earlier Covid restrictions, was moved from its normal February time-frame to May. Later, l discovered one of my sons was captured in a video that was distributed by a local news outlet. Pretty cool!

Spotless condo, great location, everything you need!
This place is really the "jewel of the isle"! The property is super well maintained, clean, and has everything you need and much more (snorkels, beach chairs and even a Wii!). Earl was great, answering all our questions and providing great tips/recommendations. Snorkeling at the tire reef (just turn left as soon as you get to the beach, in front of Mill Harbor) was amazing and simply perfect if you have kids still learning how to snorkel. It's also easy to park, safe, and there is a swimming pool and a barbecue area (gas grills). We loved the food / Johnny Cakes from La Reine Chicken Shack (if you are driving from the airport and has time to kill before the check-in time, this is a good place to stop for lunch), and Equus Horse-Back Riding was one of the highlights of the trip, all these recommendations from Earl! Thank you and we will be back.

Wonderful Relaxing Getaway
We had such a great time during our stay. The property is spacious, neighbors are friendly, and it’s literally a one minute walk to the beach. The only negative is the neighborhood, which has limited restaurant options and the need to use a car - we had a taxi drive us everywhere. Other than that, the condo is a true home away from home. Oh, and my kids were obsessed with the Super Mario Games/Wii, great touch!

The property was great! It has everything we needed and more. It was great to have coolers and beach chairs to borrow. Real the property manager knows everything. We did indeed see fish and lobster in the tire reef. We also saw stingrays and tons of star fish! The location is awesome. We can’t wait to go back!

Definitely a Jewel
Fabulous condo! Beautifully decorated and wonderful amenities. It has everything you need for a great vacation. The location was perfect for exploring the island. We used the beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipment and cooler daily. Take your coffee to the chairs by the beach in the morning and your Cruzan Confusion to the pool at night. You will meet great people there.

October Getaway
From checking in to checking out, our stay was phenomenal. The condo was updated and furnished beautifully with everything one might need without having to bring with in ones suitcase. We enjoyed the back covered patio each night listening to the sounds of nature. Check out their guest book on the kitchen island as it has a wealth of information from things to do, places to eat and shop, etc. One of the best I’ve seen to provide as much information to the guest as possible. Thank you for that!
The only downside and of no fault of the condo owners was the beach access with all the sea grass one would have to walk through to get into the water. Luckily St. Croix has many great beaches within 30 minutes driving time in any direction.
Should we get the opportunity to visit St. Croix in the future we would definitely stay again if they would have us. Thank you for having us, we had a fantastic time!

Convenient location, easy to get to downtown Christiansted and mid island in 10 minutes or less. Property is older but so are most buildings on St. Croix. It was great that all rooms had AC because this isn't standard on the island. The view to catch the sunrise over the water is absolutely beautiful. There were tiny ants on the tables and dresser in the bedroom but I think that's to be expected in a tropical environment. The host had tons of sunscreen and towels and enough beach chairs for my family. The Wii, which was something I didn't remember reading in the description, was a great addition it keep the teens occupied.

Very clean! Very comfy beds! Every item that you might need was in the condo already, especially helpful when traveling with kids. We learned about sargassum and the wretched smell it puts off, which made the condo beach unusable, but I have no doubt that it would be lovely other times of year.

Jewel of the Isle!
We had a wonderful vacation at Jewel of the Isle! The condo was just lovely, it was spotless upon our arrival, everything is updated and of very high quality. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. We especially liked the open floor plan and gallery - every morning we had coffee on the gallery to start our day looking at the water, and we ended our day with a nightcap on the gallery each evening. It was beautiful! The contactless check in and check out process was seamless and the information sheet was very helpful.
Colony Cove is a very nice complex, we appreciated the secured entrances. Because the beach in this area is pretty rocky, the pool was a key feature and we took advantage of it every day. We met several residents of Colony Cove and everyone was very welcoming and friendly.
Overall we had an amazing trip and will be recommending the Jewel of the Isle to any friends who are heading to St. Croix!
