Stayed here over the weekend with family to attend/work the Renaissance Fair. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. After long days on our feet, we enjoyed nice showers, a comfy living room to spend time together, and very comfortable beds to recharge for the next day. The house was clean and inviting. We felt very at home here. We will definitely stay here again.

Love the area and access to all the restaurants and shops. Mount Dora is a great place to visit.

We arrived at the property after a two hour drive in the rain, looked up at the porch and saw welcoming rocking chairs. Our stress level immediately went away. Entering the home, we immediately appreciated the comfortable living room, spacious bedrooms and well-appointed kitchen. This home has been loved by it's owners and it shows in the cleanliness and decorations. The front porch was a wonderful coffee and relaxation spot to view the tree lined street. This home has a great location to down town, close enough to walk but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. We will be back again!

Could not have had a better stay. This house is perfect if you want to stroll around Mt. Dora. You'll have everything you need, too if you want to stay home. I appreciated having a little wiggle room with extra towels and cleaning products. The neighborhood is quiet and great for sitting outside. Wendy is the kind of host that short term rentals were in the beginning. You get the feeling of being welcomed into a home. Just the best.

The location was perfect to walk to downtown. The house was beautifully decorated with antiques and lots of cute accessories. Furniture was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Excellent communication with the owner. We would definitely stay here again.

This was perfect for our “girls getaway”! The house was furnished nicely with everything we needed. Located within walking distance to downtown made it nice. We never had to drive anywhere! We would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend it to friends.

The owner was very helpful and responsive. Seasonal decorations, very clean, kitchen well stocked with dishes and kitchen tools. Nice convenient touches like a pair of scissors, some keurig cups and Halloween candy, a charging station with all necessary adapters. Additional towels in the linen closet, scotch tape, dish soap. A notebook full of local restaurants, things to do, and important local services. The 4 rocking chairs on the front porch were so perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. Dog walkers friendly and happy to answer questions about Mt Dora. Back yard is fenced. All beds comfortable. VERY positive experience.

We were there for a funeral so we were not there to take advantage of going downtown, but the quaint town is down the street. In light of our circumstances, it was a good place to back to to sleep and rest. Thank you very much!

We were very pleased with this property. We had to plan a last minute trip for a family funeral and this house met our needs perfectly. Owner accommodated us with early arrival. Enjoyed the rockers on front porch and the short walk into Mt. Dora was an added bonus. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We’ve rented a couple houses in Mount Dora and we will definitely be back to the rocking chair cottage. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. And the owners were very responsive when we had questions. The home is very comfortable.

Cute cottage in a quiet but convenient location. Able to walk to restaurants and shops. Our pup enjoyed safe strolls around the neighborhood. We appreciated the indoor space to spread out and the fenced backyard was a bonus.

Overall this house was a great find, great neighborhood and close to town. The rocking chairs (wish we had known there were four) on the porch were a favorite place to hang out. Some "observations": We had our parents, in their 80's, with us for a mini vacay and planned to give them the master bedroom and walk in shower. Upon arrival we discovered that the beds, both the king and the queen, were VERY high and not accessible for them. Yes, we found a stepstool on the last day but still not good for seniors. They ended up in the twin beds and were comfortable. The beds were even a challenge for those of us not much over 5ft tall. The lamps in the house are VERY low lighting, not conducive to reading or seeing much without the overhead lights on. Not ideal when watching TV or reading. The information binder was great but I wish it had included information about the markets and festivals. We missed them. Finally, I found it undesirable to have to strip the beds and put sheets and towels in the laundry area. This should be a housekeeping item, not a guest item. Again, the cottage is adorable, the rocking chairs were awesome and we would come back to Mt Dora!
