They were very close to orv trails and we spent 3 full days 4 wheeling through the Black Hills without having to trailer our machines at all. We didn't have any problem on our stay from check-in to check-out and communication with Black hills Adventure Lodging was great. The houses were everything we were hoping for and more. We do a couple of trips a year to the Black Hills and we are a group of 25 people so having our lodging plans go smoothly makes the trip much more enjoyable. I will be using Black Hills Adventure Lodging for all of our trips in the future. I highly recommend using them if you are planning on exploring the Black Hills.

The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our group. We had a wonderful time and the location was perfect for the activities we wanted to do. We took advantage of the Community building, which was very well maintained, clean and the grounds were so pretty. Loved seeing the wildlife and the beautiful scenery. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing getaway, this is the place for just that.

The big island in the kitchen with seating on both sides was a great place for us all to sit and play games and socialize with our family that gathered together. The mornings on the front porch watching the sunrise in the rocking chairs was our favorite way to start the day. Everything about the Hideaway Haven was comfortable from the furniture to the beds to the decor. Hoping we can all come back again.

However, when we arrived we realized there were only 5 wash cloths and 12 towels. When I texted the number that I was given to contact with any issues I received a text back asking for name on reservation and then did not hear anything else. When I did not receive a response back, I called the number a few hours later and explained the situation and the lady said “well obviously you have enough for this evening” .....there were 13 people and we had 6 washcloths? Obviously when you advertise a house sleeps 13 people then you should have at the least 13 towels and 13 washcloths. We did not receive the washcloths until the following day at noon. The remotes had dead batteries and I asked for batteries and do not receive them. Also, propane tank for outside fireplace was empty. The dryer took forever to dry clothing. You had to run it through the dry cycle two times to get a load of clothes dried. The house was very nice and had great decor. The management and cleaning company could use some work.

Great property for a large family get together. Each family had their own space/bathroom and the kids could share the bedroom with bunks comfortably. The hot tub was a great feature on the cool nights. We enjoyed the common pool area as well and a plus was it was heated to a comfortable temperature given the cooler temps. Beautiful home and excellent location.

Property owner was very easy to work with always responded with any questions we had. House was clean and well stocked. Great location!

7 Harley's and 9 people. We rode all over the Black Hills. The house was perfect. The Hot Tub was amazing. Plenty of space for 4 couples and a solo. Lots of fun sitting around at night talking, playing cards or other board games. Weather was perfect. Will go back again. Budi is great. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. This is a really nice place, highly recommend.

The upper level has an ensuite bedroom/bathroom and another bedroom with the bathroom straight across from the bedroom. The main level has another ensuite bedroom/bathroom. The lower level has a bunk room and then another ensuite bedroom/bathroom as well as a family room. The property has many wonderful family games supplied, some hadn't even been opened! Only difficulty is the main level kitchen and family room are smaller in size.

We brought two large trailers with 3 side by side, had 3 vehicles, and there was enough space to park and maneuver. Interior of the house was great, would return

We rented a total of five houses for a work team meeting. The homes were all clean, nicely furnished and very cozy!! We were super impressed with the quality of the homes, quality of the furnishings and overall were completely satisfied with our stay!!! Thanks again!!!!

Our group had four couples. The property had 4 bedrooms and 4 baths so that getting ready to go was easy! The property is close to Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood and Sturgis. It is a reasonable drive to Badlands, Devils Tower, Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, The Mammoth Site, and Crazy Horse. Had a great time! The manager and her assistant Paula were very responsive to all of our requests.

We had 4 couples that brought our motorcycles on trailers to ride throughout SD and WY. This was a great house that allowed us to park and store the vehicles and trailers on the driveway and motorcycles in the garage. 4 bedrooms had their own bathrooms located on 3 different floors giving plenty of privacy and space for each couple. The location of the house was in a very nice development and quiet at night with all the amenities we needed to cook at the house or go out for dinner close by. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Overall, we thought it was a great house in a great location.

This location is amazing!! Ten minutes to the town of Deadwood (love this town!). Twenty minutes to Sturgis. So centrally located. Property manager is amazing!! You can get a hold of her in a minute’s notice! Five couples seems to be the best number for this house. Two couples shared a bathroom. We cooked in the kitchen every night for dinner and sat on the porch in the evenings! Fun trip!!

We were there on the 4th of July and went into Lead 3 times that day for holiday events and even snuck in a couple hours at the lodge swimming pool! Fireworks were really great! We also spent a day at Speafish Canyon and Deadwood and another day at Mount Rushmore and Keystone. That still left us 3 whole days to stay home and just veg. So we did puzzles, swimming, grilling and relaxing on those days...perfect! We'd for sure stay at this property again whenever we plan another Black Hills family vacation.

We have rented numerous homes in the neighborhood and always had great experience, so this one was a disappointment.. House was not as clean as others we have stayed at. Coffee pot was really dirty, screens on door to deck wqs pushed out, lights on deck broken and just hanging off house, furniture on patio was all ripepd up, towel racks in bathroom were hanging out of wall. This house needs some TLC for sure.. location was great at always, we will rent again in this neighborhood but not this house.. also upstairs was soooo hot, went to bed sweating every night. Really could use a wall mounted cooling system up there..

My kids and grandkids wanted to do a family vacation together. There are 13 of us ranging in age from 6 mos. to 62. Staying in a big house together in the Hills so we could hang out was part of the planning. I've never used VRBO before and heard good things so chose VRBO over other options. The house and layout was really nice. This property manager and issues with things in the house really impacted the vacation and left me very disappointed . Issues: AC was not working; water from fridge dispenser came out room temp and the ice dispenser was broken, no remote for DVD player so many DVDs the kids brought wouldn't play, our devices weren't compatible with TV so didn't allow us to cast movies from device to TV; we couldn't buy a movie from Direct TV without having an account, deck door screen was ripped and many windows on main floor had no screens so we were limited on the windows we could open; deck furniture chair was ripped/broken but still out on the deck; PM said he couldn't allow early check-in as his crew had to clean between guests - while we were looking for remote for DVD we found handfuls of baggies with candy and candy wrappers stuffed in the crevices and cushions of the basement couches and used ice cream cups in the vases by fireplace; all bedroom dressers/night stands were really dusty and towels were in the dryer. We reported these things to PM. Some things we could overlook but the weather was HOT and the AC was not working. The PM said it was frozen and to turn it off, wait awhile and turn it back on. He said to check the furnace room to see if the pipes were frozen. We sent him pictures of the furnace room showing water on the floor and seeping water from the PVC pipes and sent pictures of thermostat showing the temp in the house (77 - 80 degrees all weekend). PM stopped responding and more importantly did not send anyone to FIX the air conditioner. We had a medical emergency while here and an unexpected surgery so didn't leave the house on Sunday. Early morning I texted PM again in the early explaining situation and asking for a solution for the AC as it was REALLY uncomfortable. Late afternoon handyman showed up who did all the same things the PM told us to do earlier and left. We waited a couple hours to let the AC work. House temp was 80 degrees. The basement was humid felt damp. I texted PM without response. No offers to bring fans or anything to help.

This property was exactly as advertised. It was absolutely beautiful and the perfect set-up for two families. The kids had the run of the lower level and the adults had plenty of privacy between the main-level master and the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen was well-appointed and there were plenty of extras throughout the house - towels, bedding, TP, dishwasher and washer pods, etc. There was even an extra propane tank for the grill or fire table if needed (which we did). The house was in a great neighborhood, really close to hiking/ATV trails. While it was a bit of a hike to Rapid City and the sights, the distance was well worth it to be out of town, in a beautiful area surrounded by lots of outdoor activities. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It was a great place to get together with family and friends. It was close to small town bars and restaurants which provided us with food and drinks. It was nicely decorated and comfortable for 10 adults.

This property was amazing and more! Out of all the properties we’ve stayed in - this was by far the best. It is the cleanest we’ve ever walked into, stocked with everything you think you would need and more. It is so well decorated and had plenty of extra towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows. The location of the property was great and the the club house was a bonus! The property manager was also great to work with and made everything as easy as possible for this weekend rental.
