As advertised, nice place to stay

We’ve stayed here in the past. The owner is always great with communication and very pleasant to work with. We will stay again!

This is a well-stocked, comfortably furnished home with views in all directions of the desert and surrounding mountains. It is a quiet spot except for at least one nearby rooster and some other squawking bird, but their disturbances were brief. The owner promised to rewrite instructions for opening the house that were not clear and resulted in difficulty in accessing wifi and one day without hot water.

We enjoyed 3 nights here. Jayne, the hostess/owner was available to answer questions Xenia text and VRBO messages. Clean, Spacious. Great laundry facility on-site. Large fridge/freezer. A few minutes from town. Expansive desert sunrise views from the back of the home. Great for couples, families, friends.

This is the nicest rental I’ve ever experienced. Beautiful home, gorgeous surroundings, perfect location, fantastic host. We would have been happy spending the entire time in the house. Our only regret is that we had to leave!

We again enjoyed a lovely stay. The house has a great layout, feels open inside and out. Very comfortable, with All needs met. Jayne, the owner, was always very quick to respond to any questions or needs. Comparatively speaking it was also the best deal around. We will definitely return !!!

Due to an accident the day before leaving for our stay I was left with a shoulder injury so I could not drive. Last year we stayed at Jayne’s lovely home and was 100% satisfied. She was a very friendly responsive host. You can’t miss if you choose this lovely home.

Very nice home with a large backyard. House was nicely stocked with pots and pans, spices, etc. Beds were cozy! Fire pit was great for nighttime.

Stayed at Jayne's place for a few days. Had a couple of my uncles staying with me. We go to the Borrego desert 3 or 4 times a year. Jayne's place was fantastic. It has a great feel to it. It feels like a home. It is at the end of a community, so there isn't a ton of traffic, and is very peaceful and quiet. The morning sunrises are beautiful from the front patio with a cup of coffee. There is also plenty of parking for 3 or 4 vehicles in the driveway and a few spots on the street if you have company visit. The place was very clean. My wife has domesticated me, and I have become very picky. I had no issues. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, pots & pans, and spices. I cooked a ham and then put the ham hock in a crock pot (my own that I brought, but they had one), and cooked a pot of beans. No issues. The rooms were good, and the beds comfortable. The master suite is very large and comfortable. A couple of things that renters should note. There is no dishwasher. This is an issue because you then need to make sure all dishes are washed before leaving, and I never trust the cleanliness of the dishes in a rental without a dishwasher. People just cut corners when checking out. Also, there is no TV service. The internet was very good, and the TV is a Samsung "Smart" TV from 4 or 5 years ago that can play Netflix and some of the streaming services. I ended up just plugging in a Chromecast and streaming my YoutubeTV account to the TV. This made it so I was the only one able to change channels, because you control it via phone or tablet. These were minor though, and made up for by the place. We loved the place and would absolutely stay here again.

This wonderful house in Borrego Springs is situated in a secluded and quite area. The long-distance views are amazing. As I stated in my first review, you will love all the decorations both inside and outside the house. The owners put their heart into this property, and it shows! Looking forward to my third visit.

Awesome accommodations. Perfect Borrego Springs getaway. Everything you need is there. Close to town, hiking trails off road trails, or just kicking back and relaxing. Jayne the host is on it. She responded back to my questions right away. Thanks for your hospitality Jayne.

I’ve always camped in the desert here for years. I decided I deserved a change and am I glad I did. Shared 4 fun filled days with my old high school buddy from the 50s. It’s a charming house and serene location. Jayne ( the owner ) was gracious and communicated often with me which was really helpful.

This is our second visit to Jayne's Borrrego Dig and once again we had a great time here. The house could not be more comfortable and is so well-equppied with all you need. The location is incredible, so quiet and the views are fantastic especially at night. We waited 18 months due to the virus, to come back here again, but we shall return many times! Thanks so much Jayne for the great offering! Hope to visit again soon!

A good place to stay

Comfortable, private, desert tranquility, great location for exploring the wonders of Anza Borrego. All agreed this would be a place to return.

We live in the Huntington Beach area so Borrego Springs is just a short 3 hour hop. After finding Jayne's "Borrego Springs Dig" and staying at this wonderful home, we will be back often. We have stayed at many different rental places like this, and the Dig is now in our top 5 fav list, with 2 of those favorites being on Maui. The Dig ranks high. The house could not be any more comfortable and modern, quiet, and enormous inside! It was fun almost getting lost for a few hours at first. Jayne's place really is a home, like staying at a friend's house, rather than a sterile hotel-like place. The evening and night is awesome, coyote's communicating for miles and stars easy to see. Thank goodness for the Borrego dark-sky ordinances, and how all the homes out there like Jayne's Dig, just fit right into the environment. This place is so, So-Cal like, relaxed and tricked out at the same time. The house location and access were simple and the privacy there is awesome. We'll be making reservations again months in advance! The decor and art was awesome and we had a lot of fun hanging out there. At night we shot nightscape photos and walked around the streets at midnight where it was so peaceful and quiet, but for the songs of coyotes. Funny, somehow one of my wife's sandals got left outside and now some coyote family is having a blast with it. We'll laugh about that for years. Thank you, Jayne for this place and your kind hospitality and letting us feel at-home in your place. We look forward to returning for years. Aloha, H&S

We had another wonderful stay at the Dig and everything was great - just like last year. Looking forward to more stays in the future.

Plentiful towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc - unlike other rentals. Loved the layout and large kitchen/great room, where I could cook and still listen to, and participate in conversations. The super bloom was spectacular, right outside the house. Would rent this home again.
