Everything about this property was perfect! Exactly as listed. The beach was meticulously manicured almost daily, communication with the property manager with recommendations was above and beyond and the cabana was wonderful! We can’t wait to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabana was in a wonderful area, with a restaurant next door. Very quiet area. Loved the thunder storm over the sea. Leo the property manager picked us up at the airport. He answered all our questions about the area. He also took us up to the local Maya Ruins. Would advise any one to stay here.

I stayed at Macaw Beach House in August 2022 and couldn't wait to go back. It's such a comfortable, clean, and private place in a great location. Being right on a beautiful beach with your own palapa is a slice of heaven. Macaw House offers lots of privacy and there are great restaurants within walking distance. Marvin met us for our earlier-than-scheduled arrival and was very responsive during our entire stay. Anthony was also great in answering all of our questions in advance and handling our booking. I l can't wait to go back again and hope this special spot maintains all of its charm.

The space is clean and comfortable. We loved the private beach cabana and restaurant next door. It was the right balance of seclusion and convenience, especially traveling with a toddler. Highly recommended.

The house had everything we needed. It was so nice being right on the beach. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We ate at the Green Parrot next door. The staff there is great. We left feeling relaxed and happy. I highly recommend this place.

This two-story unit was very comfortable and private. I loved having two bathrooms! Unit can accommodate a much longer stay. Using the WhatsApp, I was able to communicate with manager on-site. This is located on the east side of the peninsula, making the beach part not inviting for swimming due to the kelp and trash that washes up on the shoreline.

My husband and I spent a week at the Macaw house in Maya Beach. We feel that we could not have found a better place.
Granted, the kitchen and bathrooms could use an update, but everything was very functional, and we cooked dinner every other day.
The location offers gorgeous views of the beach and surroundings. We were able to swim every day, as the water was warm and had enough waves to make it fun, but not unsafe.
Leo and Marvin were great for everything we needed and for organizing day trips.
The proximity to the Green Parrot beach restaurant was a big plus, as we could just walk next door to have lunch or dinner. Also grocery store and bakery within walking distance.
We rented a car and drove from Belize city airport, which was about 2:40 hours via the Coastal Highway. Still under construction, so a little slower, but shorter than going through Belmopan. Placencia is a quaint little town with great cute places to eat and enjoy the surroundings. We would love to come back.

What more can you say. ON. THE. BEACH. What a view! This is an older home but nicely decorated and well maintained. Relaxing environment. Nice kitchen, but hey, who prepares meals when you are on vacation. Maya Beach and nearby Placencia have some great restaurants. Beach chairs and shade shelter provided. If you have multiple electronic devices, bring an extension cord. The downstair room has a damp musty odor as in older houses but the upstairs is fine. Keep that in mind if you have breathing problems or allergies.

The place is dated, but it was clean and functional. The location is great. The bathroom needs a gut-job and remodel. It really didn’t have the cleanest feel, expecially the shower.
We didn’t pay for five-star accomodations, so no real complaints, just letting people know what to expect.
The only real problem was the beach. It was essentially unusable due to the trash washed up. It had not been cleaned/raked in quite some time. There was even a syringe laying there nicely in the piles. Yuk!
Leo was great. They were very responsive. In fairness, I did not complain about the beach at the time we were there. If we had, I feel they likely would have done something about it.

The house was exactly as advertised! It was clean and right on the beach. The green parrot next door was our favorite place to eat and meet the locals! Leo and Marvin were exceptionally accommodating and couldn’t have asked for finer people! I’ll go back over and over and will not stay anywhere else! Love, love love!

Was not as promised! It said screened in porch. It was not. The air was out our first night. We had to sleep on the porch. Yes, the porch. When we could not reach the manager we contacted the owner by email. He was very unhelpful, The beech was full of seaweed not cleaned to get to the water. The tv did not get local channels and did not have instructions to use it. The inside of the house was ok and it did have a view of beech. The hammocks where rotted. We were not offered compensation for the night we had to sleep on the the porch because the house was hot . The house was not bad after the air was repaired.

Lovely 2 bed/bath right on the water. Great amenities. Grocery store and a bar/restaurant within easy walking distance. Maya Beach is a great location. We will be back again. Leo and his staff were very helpful!

Beautiful property
A lovely place to stay. Right on the water, walking distance to restaurants. My only disappointment was the cleanliness. Dead cockroaches in the frig (I understand this is the tropics so bugs in the house don’t bother me) and what looked like gecko droppings in the kitchen drawers. Again, don’t mind the geckos, just wondering if the place had been cleaned several days before our arrival. Despite this, I would return to this beautiful place.

Great Vacation!
Overall our stay was wonderful. Unfortunately, the TV did not work, but with the beautiful weather, I doubt we would have watched it very much. Access to the beach was amazing and lots of restaurants within walking distance. We did need someone to come out to look at the stove, but our request was answered immediately and the problem was fixed.

Quiet little spot
The place was clean and as advertised. It was a perfect location to be home base while traveling around Belize! It was nice to be away from the activity of Placencia Village but still close enough to go in for coffee or groceries or to meet a guide for fishing! We will be returning 😊

Beautiful Location
Our stay at the Carribean Delite was pure heaven! We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed each one of them. The property was clean and provided everything we needed for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. It was a pleasure to meet Ken and Leo provided everything that we needed. The property’s location is not only beautiful but convenient to restaurants, grocery store and bowling alley. Close to restaurants/other resorts - which we found out u can swim & use resort chairs if you buy drinks at their place!

TV in/out upstairs, downstairs not working at all
Porch furniture falling apart (my husband borrowed tools to fix)
No cushions on any chairs/lounges
Only 4 forks (although a lot of spoons)
Beach was dirty with plastic bottles & other trash for first two days (was cleaned after that)
Mostly a good experience as “right on the beach” listening to surf and getting breezes was wonderful. Water was warm & clear. There was some sea grass but not too bad.
Glad we went. Will probably visit Belize again.

Stayed for a week, and had a wonderful time.
The casita was perfect for our needs. Right on the beach. The sea breeze kept us cool and comfortable.
We’re low key people, and the atmosphere here was just what we were looking for.
The folks at the Green Parrot (right next door) were great for booking our day trips and the restaurant was a gem. (See Leo for booking your trips)
Great food, cocktails. By the end of our trip we were on a first name basis with staff, as well as some of the locals.

Paradise
What a great location. The natural looking landscapes and the cabin complement each other perfectly. The beach was deserted most of the time so it was like having our own private beach.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home. Leo goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We were unfortunately plagued by seaweed but that’s just the luck of the draw.
We went to the Monkey river and fishing/ snorkeling with Elrin and had a great time every time. He’s so knowledgeable and skilled he definitely gave us our money’s worth.

Sweet little beach house with its own small beach
What a nice little beach house(perfect for two people) with a small beach. The house is clean and has everything you need. The beach has a thatch covered tiki with hammocks and beach chairs to relax in and watch the sun come up with a cup of coffee or nap during the day.
Located next to the Green Parrot resort which has a great caretaker named Leo who is always available to help you out or set up day trips. The restaurant is also fabulous. We loved Isabelkas cooking that we ate dinner there every night!
We enjoyed Maya beach as it I's quieter then Placencia but only a 15 minute drive into town.

Beach was nice. Unfortunately in Feb sea grass came in most days as winds usually out of the east making it not great for swimming.
Many good places to eat within walking distance.
Vendors who travel up from the Punta Gorda area are very pleasant and not pushy at all. They do not barter unless multiple items are purchased as they are part of a cooperative that make and market the items.
Leo is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Unit has lots of linens and utensils.

Beautiful beach
Didn’t like lights on porch shining in our room all night. The beach was beautiful. We couldn’t sit on Green Parrot Beach. We were restricted to our own area. Didn’t like the hostility. Everyone else was fine.
