Home is very comfortable. Has everything you need. Golf carts were excellent. Favorite part was the screened in back porch listening to all the forest critters. Would highly recommend this as a rental stay.

Merrytime was a beautiful house on BHI. The house had absolutely everything we needed down to the lemon squeezer. The house and property were clean and beautifully decorated. The golf carts, bikes, and beach chairs were all in great condition. The property owner provides thorough instructions and access was easy. The house is centrally located on the island which made it easy to get the grocery store and shopping. I highly recommend Merrytime.

We had the absolute best summer vacation at Merrytime. Property was very clean. It was well-stocked and every need was anticipated. Property is in a great location, close to the market and in the center of the island. Wade was a joy to work with and very responsive whenever I had a question. Golf carts were in great condition and zoomed around the island! Overall, we have zero complaints and could not have enjoyed our vacation more!

We have been to BHI several times. Merrytime was the most clean and well kept home we have stayed in. The golf carts were both very nice, fast, and held charges well. All of the bikes and beach chairs were in fantastic shape. We definitely hope to stay again.

Merrytime is a lovely property. The house is in a quiet secluded development that has the advantage of a community pool. The home is extremely well maintained; very clean, a fully out fitted kitchen (with a gas stove which is a bonus in a rental property), and lots of amenities including two new golf carts, bikes, a gas grill, and beach equipment stored in the garage. House has modern furnishings and high end fixtures in the three baths which is a very nice plus. Only thing renters might want to be aware of is that the third "bedroom" is actually a large loft with two double beds that is open to the great room below. There is not much privacy which could be an issue for adult guests. Our older teenager stayed in this loft and it was perfect for him! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Merrytime as a first rate rental property!

This house is the most well thought out beautifully decorated and the CLEANEST house I have ever stayed in on the island. My family has been coming to the island since my kids were little, they are teenagers and adults now. This house would be perfect for little kids as well. Located in the Ibis Roost community it is a quiet area with a little community pool. I was surprised at how nice the pool was. We used it more than expected because there was never anyone there. It was nice to just walk over for a quick cool off. The front porch is just lovely with a porch swing and rocking chairs. I sat there quite a bit because the landscaping is arranged so that the porch is completely private. Really brilliant. The layout of the house is quite nice. The bedrooms are all in different areas so we didn’t hear those crazy kids that stay up all night. The kitchen is so well equipped (not cluttered). It’s like all the items you need to make meals and serve but not all the extra plastic margarita glasses that get in the way. We cooked almost every night and I can’t think of a thing I needed that wasn’t there from blender to colander. Everything in the kitchen was spotless. The bathrooms again spotless. The furniture was comfy for movie nights and enough places to sit (sometimes that’s a problem even in the bigger houses). The televisions were new and every bedroom and living room had a nice one. The dining table was perfect for family dinners and game night. The grill already had gas (my last house no gas it was a problem) and the screened in porch was perfect to just get way from everyone or hang out as a group. Now the garage. If you rent beach houses you will know garages are always full of broken junky beach stuff you can’t use. Not this one! Very nice beach chairs, perfect sun umbrellas, fishing poles and the nicest bikes! Everything was so nice. The cherry on top of this house is the golf carts. They are so nice, quite clearly new. I will be renting this house again! In fairness to critiquing the house I can say the only thing missing was maybe a card table (petty I know but it’s all I got) for those family members who start one of the puzzles on the dining table and they do not finish it before dinner😁

We’ve rented 15-20 houses on BHI over the years. This ranks as one of the best. House feels brand new as do linens furniture and appliances. So clean! Beds are comfy, carts are fast. Love the gas grill and screen porch. Owner was so helpful. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

(We preferred the South Beaches--Access 34 or 35.) My husband and I absolutely loved our time with our 4 young kids. We have stayed at several places on BHI but this house by far was our favorite. We really liked that there was a pool within walking distance and we enjoyed our time in the evenings on the screened in back porch. We will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect home with everything you need for your time at BHI! The loft space for perfect for our teen son and his friend while the 2nd bedroom downstairs worked great for our tween and her friend. 3 baths meant each pair had their own. Kitchen incredibly well stocked. While we did come to enjoy the island, the beach and the pool, the TVs were also terrific for nighttime and resting. My favorite spot was the quiet back porch. Another plus was the community pool. We spent tons of time there and loved having it so close. Wonderful and responsive owners. We’ve been coming to Bald Head for 15 years and I have to rate this among our favorite homes. Would definitely stay again!

I cannot say enough about this home - it's loved and one of the very best that we've stayed in! Nicely appointed, clean and comfortable, stocked kitchen, roomy, tv's throughout, games, bikes, golf carts, beach chairs - everything anyone would need for a great beach vacation. The location was perfect for us - tucked in the forest near the shops and only a 5 minute golf cart ride to the beaches. We'll be back next year :-)

Owners are extremely attentive. Property is centrally located making it accessible to everything!

The owners have created a home that is very appealing and wonderfully decorated. We felt very much at "home" and found everything to be in excellent working order. BHI is one of those "hidden" gems that everyone would enjoy and we plan to go back. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience, setup and transaction was very easy and the owner is excellent to work with, I would highly recommend this particular home!

Some owners are in the business of "rental-only" properties -- minimizing investment into their homes in every way...from decor to amenities. This is NOT the case with Merrytime. From the moment you enter the home, it is clear that the Davis' have created a Bald Head property the way that they would want it for themselves (or at least it feels that way). This is noticeable from the way it is decorated to the little details that haven't been forgotten (like kitchen utensils, beach chairs/umbrellas, grill w/ hardline propane, etc.). The cleaning service does an adequate job between rentals as the home seemed clean and smelled pleasant. The Davis’ were very easy to work with and professional in their process to rent the home. When we promptly received our security deposit back, it came with a thoughtful thank you note – a really nice touch. The more we stay on Bald Head, the more we like this central Forest location. Undoubtedly, we find ourselves regularly running from one side of the island to the other. This location makes it very easy to get everywhere…not to mention the nice temperature differential in the forest. The bottom line…when you find a property that makes you say “this is how I would want my Bald Head property to be”, it’s a winner! Of course, as with any rental, the Davis’ will need to keep up the good work and investment in their property to keep it in tip-top shape. A couple places for critical feedback were: 1. The front door locks were almost un-useable from salt air, etc. I ran to the hardware store and picked up a tube of graphite…this completely solved the problem. Would have thought the cleaning crew and/or maintenance contractors would have brought this issue to the owner’s attention given it was such an easy and inexpensive fix 2. We found the blue golf cart spectacular. The white cart is getting over-the-hill and is due for an overhaul or replacement (brakes questionable, etc.). We had no issues at all with the white cart…just an observation as to future longevity 3. The umbrellas are a great offering (although one that doesn’t easily stand the test of time)…this season seems to have been tough on them as they are getting to their last legs. This would be an easy thing to not update / replace. I would suggest though that the little things like this make all the difference Thank you Davis’ for sharing your home – we had a fantastic time and hope to come back soon! Scott W.
