The owners communication was good. There definitely need to be some relisting as it relates to the description of the property. But it was suitable for what we needed at the time.

Cancelled on us the DAY OF; 3 HOURS before our flight left for Florida. Terrible communication. Cannot believe they are even on VRBO. Be very very cautious and have back up plans if you risk this condo.

The listing says waterfront. There is no waterfront,there is another building. Upon arriving there was a cleaning lady but we quickly saw that she hadn’t cleaned. The tub is old and needs refinished but soap scum can be removed. We purchased two cleaning supplies and cleaned it ourselves. We also cleaned the floors. Something in this house makes us both cough all night. On our second day here it stormed and rained a lot and there were several places in the living room leaking. I text the property owner and have never heard another word from her. There is a hole in the ceiling above the bunk beds that was covered with plastic and duck tape but when it rained it filled up with water and came open and started leaking. There is an open electrical wire hanging down from the kitchen counter. The furniture is horrible. Very uncomfortable you can feel every frame in it when you sit on it. For this place to be listed as a HIGH END LISTING is pretty disappointing. We have certainly learned a lesson.

While not a bad property overall and will work if you're only planning to use it to sleep, I don't know that we'd stay here again. It was mostly small things we had problems with, like: there was a place to fish but the fishing pole they provided was broken, or the oven making the house smell burnt when we tried to cook. The biggest issue is that we had a wet spot on the top bunk, due to them fixing the A/C before we came and it constantly dripping during our trip, we ended up having to put a bowl there to catch the water and my 5y.o. was very disappointed not to get to sleep on the top bunk. The pool was nice and literally right out our backdoor and we were glad to have some floaties for my kiddo to use. Like I said, decent place to crash if you're just looking to hang around town but probably wasn't a great place for us for what we needed it for.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Upon arrival, I was a tad worried because the outside doesn’t look very nice, but the inside of the unit is BEAUTIFUL!! The location is very convenient and the area is very quiet. I really like that the owners send out a message with the weather conditions daily, and they also offer ice cream sundaes one night. We stayed 8 nights, and would have stayed another night had the unit not already been booked. The unit has everything one could need for a trip including all appliances, bedding, towels, floats, pots, seasoning. I tagged along our slow cooker, which made dinner plans so much easier as well. The layout of the unit is spacious as well, there was 8 of us in this unit (with the owner’s approval of course), and not once did we feel overly crowded. Our children (ages 6-14) really enjoyed the swimming pool as it went from 3-1/2 ft to 8 ft. We’d definitely stay here again! My sister and her husband were also in the area and both were just as impressed with the unit as we were.

The master bed is huge and very comfortable as were the pillows!Only one bathroom and with 3 girls, it was a little tight.Access to the condo was not directly inside the complex, but owner gives exceptional directions and we had no issues finding it.The complex has a station for disposable bags to pick up after your pet should you bring your fur babies.It's located close to EVERYTHING. Lots of restaurants to try, shopping and Gulfarium.Communication was great!Thanks for giving us a beautiful space to call home for the weekend!

We loved our short stay so much that we tried to extend it another day. Unfortunately, it was already booked but the owners let us have a later check out so our granddaughters could play in the pool before leaving. The complex is a little older, but the unit is beautiful! The kiddos loved the bunks and the pool just outside the back door. We loved the kitchen and the comfy sectional! Owners were so very nice! If this place is available for your trip, book it!!!

We came in and were very much impressed with the inside. Condo had mostly everything we needed. Location was quiet and beds were super comfortable. Washer and dryer were so nice to have. Owner gave updates every day on weather and beach flags. Only short drive away from beach, gulfarium, food, and activities. Would stay again!!

Had a wonderful time. Owner was amazing help. Loved being able to walk out the back door to go swimming or short walk to go fishing behind the building. Very convenient location.

Stayed for a short 2 day vacation on almost no notice to the owners. Everything was ready, clean and great for what we used it for.

We had a great time at my grandmother's 90th birthday in FWB and staying here made it so much easier and more convenient! It was nice! King bed was so comfy! No one was ever in the pool but us!! One more seat in the living room would have been great for a party of six! 😉 Kitchen and kitchen table-nice! Just what we needed! Thank you for being on top of things!

This property was perfect for our quick get away to celebrate my oldest brothers 50 th anniversary. Easy to get to and navigate around to places we needed to go. The owners were easily accessible and very kind. Not sure if I overlooked it in the property description of what is supplied but double check regarding tp, paper towels and trash bags because we did not have these things supplied, but no biggie a trip to Walmart fixed that. Plenty of towels were provided. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your property. 😀

My family and I came from Texas for a dance competition that was up the street! The condo was perfect for what we needed and not too far from the venue. The beds were comfy and the condo was fairly clean. My only complaint was there was sand in the queen bed sheets when we arrived. My daughters climbed in to the bed to go to sleep and said there was sand all over. However, being a beach town, it was impossible to keep the sand out of the condo. We had to sweep daily. All in all a good experience and I would visit the Sand Dollar Villas again.

We loved our stay this week in Fort Walton, and we were really sad to leave. The condo was spotless, the pool was just steps away from the back door, and I loved the convenience of a washer and dryer to use every day after the beach. We will definitely book the condo again when we return! Tips to travelers: pack a couple rolls of toilet paper, some paper towels, and some laundry detergent with you so you don’t have to shop later for them!

Beautifully upgraded and comfortable. Very spacious the owners really care and thought of everything. Felt like a home away from home.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dollar Villa! Pre-trip, everything was so well organized, communication was great and very helpful. The condo is lovely, well appointed, with beautiful furnishings and artwork. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, great to fall into after a full day out and about. The kids loved the bunk beds (although there may have been some disagreement about who got the top!) Even though we didn't cook, the kitchen was well supplied with cooking implements, for as fine a meal as you would like. And quality appliances, such as the washer and dryer, made beach life so easy!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We only stayed one night but enjoyed the unit for the most part. It only has one bathroom which is insufficient for the number of guests it reports to accommodate. The bathroom was way too small and needs to be updated. Not enough seating in the living area but the kitchen and dining areas were fine. Wouldn't stay there again for anything longer than 1 night.

Don't be fooled by the modest exterior, this pad is legit! From the stylish cabinets and granite in the kitchen (granite window sills too) to the high end appliances and decorative touches this place is great! It's just a few minutes drive to just about everything you need or want. The parking is right in front of the ground floor door which is so appreciated. Neighbors were quiet, the pool was clean, all in all it was a good stay!

Rebecca was immediately available and answered all questions. Mid month cleaning was done. Beds were comfortable. All cooking utensils and spices were available for use. Wonderful to have washer and dryer so that towels and clothes could be done daily.

Can't beat the price, furnishings, tv, comfort of beds. Definitely could've been cleaner with a cleaning fee, could've been safer with the windows closed and locked when we arrived. I imagine the housekeeper is under 5'5" because the fixtures above that were caked in dust. We also had to Clorox the bathroom door because it was disgusting, much like the bathroom drawers and cabinet (that we didn't bother complaining about because we didn't use them.) we arrived around midnight, ready to rest after a 6 hour drive and 3 of the windows weren't locked and one couldn't lock and even had a stick to block it. Not terrible except that the stick was too short and the windows could have been opened enough to remove the stick. So, we texted and told Rebecca about the dust issue and the window we couldn't get to lock but wedged shut for the night. No problem, she got the cleaning lady to go check it out and a window guy to fix the window. Then she proceeded to text me about how Ft. walton is known for its dust and that some people are just difficult to please. My husband has asthma. Not acceptable. I took pictures of the dust and the door and bathroom drawers (never sent her those bc I was curious to see if the cleaning lady would clean them on her second visit... nope). About the window, after I thanked her for fixing that too, she dropped in a text how expensive it is to get her window guy to go out when it was a matter of us not knowing how to lock a window. Then later tried to make nice by admitting the window guy told her to replace those windows soon. Perhaps they should check the windows before new guests arrive so they feel safe. Even though the condo was inexpensive, cleanliness and safety should certainly be expected. If all that hadn't happened, it probably would have been great. It does need attention to fix the hole in the hall wall (should have been repaired with a guest's security deposit) or the cracked and sagging ceiling over the top bunk bed. We didn't dare say anything else after the rude texts and after reading another guest's story of being escorted out by police. We just wanted to enjoy our weekend. The ice maker stopped working on day 2 of our 5 day stay, but it's probably because we just don't know how to operate an ice maker.

When I arrived, I didn't have my access code because I didn't have access to my email when it was sent, so I looked up the owner's number on my Homeaway app and gave them a call. Instant answer, and they didn't even mind giving me the code. Being able to contact the owners was a nice surprise. As I walked through the door I noticed that the place was super clean. The kitchen that I walked into was small but very well designed. It didn't feel small, and there was plenty of room to move about. From the kitchen, there is an open living area combining the dining and living room that gives a sense of spaciousness, and it has a very comfortable couch. The air conditioner and ceiling fans all worked great! The beds and pillows were also very comfortable. The bedroom remote that controlled the ceiling light and fan was a nice touch. The only thing I would have added was a roll of paper towels. That would have been handy when we walked in, (and any traveler worth his salt should already have some) but that was a minor inconvenience that was soon remedied. This was the perfect property for me, comfortable, air conditioned, close to everything in town and bug free. My enjoyment meter says Five stars.

My family enjoyed the trip. The condo was clean, and bright. It is in an older complex, but in a good location, and fairly close to the Okaloosa island. The beds were very comfortable, and they had updated appliances. There is a pool, but we didn't get to use it.

Nice condo on the inside but it is not on a beach. It is only a short drive from the public beach access though which is nice.

We found this place at the last moment and Rebecca was able to accommodate us. We had our four kids ages 2 through 18 and the condo was roomy and spacious for all of us. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to plan meals and we were close to everywhere we wanted to go. It was our first time staying in Fort Walton and we'd stay again.
