The Chicken House was so amazing! Very clean and comfortable. Paige, the host was the best. There was a tornado in the area while we were there and she made sure we knew the safe place. We so enjoyed watching the chickens. Swinging on the front porch was very relaxing and just what we needed! Just loved this place and we will be back. Thanks

We loved this place in the Heart or Taylor Mississippi. Just a few minutes from Oxford and right across the street from Taylor Grocery (Best catfish in Mississippi). We stayed 5 days (4 nights), and took full advantage of the relaxing atmosphere and cool country antique aesthetics. We had coffee each morning on the front porch with the chickens, and a glass of wine every evening on the back patio. There's even a fire pit on the back lawn area, and firewood is provided. Plenty of room for our daughter and her friends to come by and hang out. Also very close to the Wonderbird Gin Distillery, Lost Dog coffee shop, Grit Restaurant and Offbeat in General/Blind Pig Deli (best place for deli sandwiches). So happy we to have discovered this cool place.

Unique, cute spot located right outside of Oxford. We really enjoyed our stay! Appreciated firewood left for us to have a fire. Lots of character with easy check in/out.

We rented the chickenhouse with the Taylor Inn to accommodate all of our family. It is just a few steps away from the Inn. The decorations are perfect. The host is awesome. We enjoyed our weekend in Taylor celebrating the marriage of our cousin. The cottage is unique, the kids loved the loft area!

This is my second time to stay in the Chicken House and I loved it equally as much! The first time I came with girlfriends to go to double Dekker art festival this time I came with my family to go to my nieces wedding. I love everything about it! From the decor, right down to the chickens!

Paige was a great host and very detailed in her information prior to our arrival. The house was splendid and the town of Taylor has a great coffee shop and some great restaurants. What a gem of a place and less than 15 minutes to Oxford. Really beautiful and relaxing weekend!

This was a perfect weekend getaway spot. The home was rustic and clean. The chickens nearby were fun to watch from the porch. There are also two very good restaurants within walking distance.

Absolutely loved our stay , the coup was rustic on the outiside but small , quaint and well out together inside . It was enough space for my two children and wife and small pug , only a10 minute drive from Ole Miss and about an hour from Memphis . We will be back !

Close enough to Ole Miss in Oxford to move our daughter back, and enjoy the drive back to the peace of the Chicken House. Paige is wonderful, and always available of you need anything.
Taylor grocery and GRIT are both wonderful for dinner and desserts.

Our stay was - once again - absolutely incredible. A lovely cabin where we all relaxed. This time, we took time to eat across the street at Taylor Grocery! It was the perfect evening. Chicken Shack at Taylor Inn: A Great Getaway
I stayed here to attend my son's wedding event at Plein Air, just around the corner. The cottage was perfect for that occasion. I will be coming back when I don't have a schedule of activities to attend, so I can enjoy a lost weekend. Something therapeutic about the place--especially the chickens.

Relaxing and fun experience
This get away was exactly what we all needed!!!! We found the cabin to be charming. Close enough to Oxford to get to all activities easily, but far enough out of town to enjoy some rest and relaxation. The cabin is full of charm which is easily matched by the Page as she goes the extra mile to assure you are comfortable.

A true Mississippi experience
We stayed in the Chicken House this past week and already reserved for our next visit to Oxford! The Taylor Inn and the Chicken House are just lovely. The perfect blend of rustic charm and modern creature comforts.
The owner, Paige, is the perfect hostess and the little town of Taylor is very quaint and good eats. Just a 15 min straight, easy ride to Oxford. The chickens and rooster are a bonus.

My family and I spent 2 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday in Paige's compound. We will return, having loved the decor, the comfort--and seeing real live chickens! We are also very grateful to Paige for going out of her way to assure our comfort.
