We love the Golf Villas and have stayed here for years. This Villa is the reason we continue to come back. E2 is clean, neat, orderly and stocked. It is the perfect location to the pool and they have tons of beach towels for guest use. It has ample dishes, pots and pans for use also. Check in and out is simple. Overall it’s a very nice stay and we stayed for 5 1/2 weeks without a problem!

Stay was excellent. Plenty of room (as expected), Dishes, utensils, bedding was all great. The private/resident's beach had awesome snorkeling and swimming. Nearby grocery was convenient. Directions were excellent, check-in was without trouble.
Fresh fruit gift at check-in was a nice touch. :)

Absolutely loved the condo. It was pretty big and had a nice view on the golf course. My favorite part was the pool, it is nicer than some of the hotel pools in the area.

The condo was perfect for our family (wife and 2 kids). Marsha was an excellent host and very responsive. The condo has all you need in the kitchen, home and garage with tons of beach toys, chairs and boogie boards. After visiting all over the island, this spot with the pool and beach club are the best anywhere! We look forward to our next trip back.

Seven days in paradise….who’d want to leave? Everything was immaculate! It’s all you need, and then some.
The condo is high class. The ‘Golf Villa’ grounds are a sight to behold. From the lush landscape, to the pool, private beach access, and the enticing sights and sounds of Hawaii!
Marsha and Dean are fantastic to work with! We will not look anywhere else…we will be back!

Marsha was absolutely amazing!! Not only was the property perfect for what our family needed (my husband, our 1-year-old and myself), but the access to the private beach and restaurant was such a wonderful surprise! The condo is super clean - you can tell they care about their property!
Marsha was so so kind to make sure we had all the essentials we needed for our little guy. She even purchased newer items to ensure their quality! I also loved that there was stuff for us to use at the beach - chairs, umbrella, snorkeling gear, etc.
Very, very pleased with this property and the owners. We hope to return one day!

Our first visit back to this area since start of COVID. New to Golf Villas Area and very pleased. Beautifully landscaped, excellent pool, very quiet and access to the Beach Club. Our unit was very well maintained, comfortable furniture and bed and a wonderful welcome stash of treats on kitchen counter. Made us feel like special guests. Easy in and local support if needed which we did not. We enjoyed a couple of sunsets from the patio when we stayed in for the night. We wanted our return to the area to be memorable and it was. Thanks go to Marsha for being such a wonderful host and providing a beautiful week in paradise.

This was a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to the big island. It was centrally located with access to everything from shops and restaurants to beautiful beaches, hiking and interesting drives. This home is exactly as pictured and is extremely well appointed and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Marsha and Dean's place was a fun surprise for my family, as we had never stayed in the area north of Kona.
Marsha was super flexible and helpful in her communications ahead of the trip. We had one snafu with the wi-fi and she was very responsive. The welcome gift and note was very thoughtful.
The condo itself is spacious and well stocked. My favorite part was the ground-floor patio, where I was able to read and seek protection from the sun and wind. As with any short-term rental that has a steady stream of visitors, there are a few maintenance items that could be resolved, but didn't really impact our stay. It may be helpful to note that the primary bedroom's bed is quite high off the floor and this was a bit of a challenge. Beds weren't the most comfortable, but everyone has a different sleeping style/need so you can't please everyone! The unit was very clean and it was also very, very quiet. This is super important for us!
We really appreciated the amenities that felt above and beyond what I've seen in other rental units. The washer/dryer was in the unit and was so helpful. There were many extra towels, including beach towels. The unit had beach chairs, boogie boards, floaties, etc. What a delight!
The Mauna Lani property was just beautiful. The pool in the Golf Villas section was probably the nicest pool that I've been to because of the shape and the beautiful landscaping. It was also really quiet (except for my child, who is very well-behaved but is still a kid :) ). The trade winds meant the beach was super windy a few days, so we were glad to have the pool so that we could still be outside and in the water. We LOVED the private beach. It was so low key and easy to use. The snorkeling was the best we've had just off a beach. We really liked the walking paths around the property and it was fun to explore.
The location is a bit far from Kona itself, but there are plenty of amenities in this upscale resort area. We spent a few days in Volcano before heading over and we thought it was nice to split up our trip that way.
Overall, it was a really lovely stay and we appreciate that Marsha and Dean opened their home to my family. Thank you!

Mimi and Grumps visited with our 5 yo granddaughter for a week. Great property with all we needed. So nice to have full kitchen to meet needs of granddaughters diet. The pool /beach toys in garage were a real plus. Also nice to have a usable garage for the rental car. Thanks for a great time!

This was the place to take it easy or actively pursue the island's adventures. The furnishings are comfortable and decorative, and the kitchen is well equipped including a gas grill on the patio. How they got so much into this condo really surprised us. Two bedrooms and two baths were just perfect for the two of us. We had plenty of room and the king bed in the master was really comfortable. Bathroom amenities included ample towels and shampoo and soaps. Everything was just as promised!
We enjoyed the Mauna Lani Beach Club and Mauna Lani Golf Club as well as dining a Napua and Tommy Bahamas's. Just a short drive away are the King's and Queen's Shops at Waikoloa. There are three grocery stores, one in the Shops at Mauna Lani, Waikoloa King's, and the Waikoloa Village Market where we prefer the non-tourist pricing.

Villa was fine but a little smaller than I expected -- and the deck area is very small with not much of a view. The villa is pretty well equipped as far as kitchen supplies, dishes, etc. However, the bath towels were old and need to be replaced. I was disappointed with the location -- you can't really walk to the beach or the fitness centre. Communication with Marsha was great - she was sure to be in contact with us to make sure everything was ok. I wish I could give this a better rating because there wasn't anything terrible about it - I was just expecting better.

First and foremost: communication with owner Marsha was fantastic!! I'd ask a question and within minutes, there was her reply! Excellent communication continued throughout our time in the condo. For example, during out stay, Marsha emailed about an event happening at Auberge at Mauna Lani. And upon checking in, we, despite following written directions, were unable to connect to WiFi. I texted Marsha, who immediately contacted her on-site mgr Karlynne, who immediately contacted me with clear updated instructions. Problem resolved in less than ten minutes! I'd advise future guests, if there's any thing you need help with, don't hesitate to text Marsha or telephone Karlynne. (If you've had the frustrating experience of slow or no communication from a property owner or manager, you'll appreciate that gracious and prompt help is priceless!)
The condo itself was clean, decorated in a lovely but not o.t.t tropical style, and was exactly as pictured. It was the perfect size for our multigenerational family of four. Sitting out on the back patio provides total relaxation, with views of swaying palms in the distance. The grounds are immaculate.
There's a large number of useful supplies--nothing was missing that we needed-- like kitchen utensils, bath and beach towels, and food basics. There was a new, very fresh, fruit welcome gift basket. (How do we know it was fresh? Unlike another rental we stayed at later in the trip, there were no fruit flies buzzing around!) "Starter" supplies of paper towels and toilet paper lasted us through the four day/night stay.
As this is a ground floor unit, I expected to hear some noises from above, but heard nothing at night in the guest bedroom. Family in the Master bedroom did hear a few muffled, but not disruptive, sounds from the adjacent condo.
We loved the location of E2 within the Golf Villas "subdivision" for its one-minute stroll to the beautiful pool (loved its design, with alcove areas that make it feel very private, even if others are present) and hot tub, which we made use of every evening. The gorgeous grounds, and road through the Golf Villas, were surprisingly quiet.
The Mauna Lani beach parking lot is accessible via the key code you get. It is 1.3 miles from Golf Villas, per the maps app, so having supplies and a youngster with us, we drove.

We really enjoyed this relaxing location! The pool and hot tub were close by and everything we needed for the pool and beach was available for our use at the condo. The condo was well cared for and the property was beautifully landscaped. Cooking out on the grill on the private lanai was convenient - all utensils were provided. The owners and caretaker communicated with us before our trip and near the end of our stay, ensuring that our vacation was perfect.

We have been coming to the Big Island for 40 years and this is our favorite location. The Kohala Coast has the best beaches on the island and the Golf Villas at Mauna Lani is a small quiet development close to them all. It has beautiful views of the golf course and the mountains. The grounds and pool area are beautifully maintained. This particular unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay including beach access to nearby Beach Club Beach. The only issue we had was with the internet and the owners were sending someone out right away to work on it. Thank you Marsha and Dean for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We will be back!

My wife and I once again enjoyed a wonderful two week stay in Golf Villa E2 in Mauna Lani. Only half an hour from busy Kona, this is a wonderful oasis of peace with some of the best snorkelling to be had in Hawaii, as well as opportunities to golf, walk, or just sit on the beach at the private Mauna Lani beach club. A well stocked supermarket provides sufficient groceries, so you can feel away from it all for the duration of your stay.
While all of the Golf Villas are broadly similar, what distinguishes between them is how well furnished and maintained they are and how easy it is to communicate with a friendly owner. In all these aspects, E2 excels and I can recommend it without hesitation.

We love the Mauna Lani area and come back again and again. This property was good with a couple of maintenance issues that prevented us from using one of the bathrooms fully. Other than that, it was clean and had enough space for the three of us. Thank you!

We’ve had a wonderful (but too short) week! Compared to other locations we especially loved being so close to the beach club (& warm pool) and on the golf course Patio breakfasts & dinners were lovely! We appreciated and enjoyed all of the necessities of home ( laundry/ dishwashing soap, saran wrap, foil, shampoo, shower gel, etc) & also for our Hawaiian vacation! (boogie boards, beach towels chairs, umbrella, etc.) We have already recommended the unit to friends . We will most certainly be back!

Beautiful Villa in a Perfect location
We stayed three weeks in this beautiful villa. One week we had a friend stay, one week we had our son and our 10 year old granddaughter and one week we were on our own. My DH golfed and said it was a great course. The Villa is furnished well, comfortable beds and bedding. The pool is beautiful with plenty of seating. The star is the semi private beach and beach club “Napua”. Just fabulous! Calm waters, great snorkeling. The restaurant is wonderful for either lunch or dinner (reservations recommended) we will be back!!

Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island is our favorite resort…we’ve stayed at the Golf Villas multiple times and Dean and Marsha’s Condo has by far been our favorite…beautifully appointed, amazingly equipped…very clean and comfortable…they have provided for all our needs! My husband and I recently spent 5 days in this lovely condo, and everything about our stay was perfect. We had all the amenities we could ever want, and the unit was beautifully decorated and spotless. So glad we decided to stay in Mauna Lani - what a gorgeous area! The fishponds are so peaceful and a perfect area for walking. We also walked the shoreline as far as we could go each morning - so interesting and breathtaking. Marsha was easy to work with, always quickly responsive to our inquiries and emails. Highly recommend!!
