Everyone had a nice relaxing time at the beach. Nice accommodations.

Eight women stayed at the property. There is ample sleeping space with 3 suites and two other bedrooms. The multiple Floors make sleeping and getting ready very easy and you can get away from traffic. Justus was our go-to guy and he was fantastic. He took care of our every need. The pool was heated to 85 and we spent every afternoon there. The location is good, .6 mile North or south to bars, eating. The home is totally sound proof. We would definitely stay here again.

We rented this property for a family reunion. It was great. Plenty of room across the different levels, especially the kitchen and living room. Ian was terrific to work with. Very helpful and responsive. I’d stay here again.

The house was even better in person. Having a private pool and a walkway directly to the beach was incredible. The communication with the property owner and property manager was quick and easy. We all loved our stay. We are hoping to be back next year!

We found the house not well cleaned in some areas. The bunk bed looked as if someone just got out of it. Mattress on the floor. Dirty showers. Bed bugs on the bed in a room. The bed had blood stains on sheet and pillow. This combination things . led to us leaving.

Everything about Sandy Dunes is perfect .. location, views and access to the beach!

Nice house in a nice location. The pool was a very nice option with children. The only complaints were the cleanliness. The floor was very gritty with sand upon arrival. We had to sweep. Black gunk came out of the bath faucets when we went to brush our teeth. When we wiped the faucet , the underside had black gunk on them like they had not been cleaned in quite some time. Same with the vents. The cleaning staff needs to use a brush attachment on the sweeper to clean the vents.

It's nice to have a balcony but very private and a lot of way the pool was very nice

Our group went down to get away from the craziness of 2020 and ring in the new year together. The house was well kept, and the homeowners were quick to respond to any needs or services we asked for. Overall a great experience and we will be coming back this summer!

The house, golf carts, and views were fabulous😊� Several in the group commented how well the house was insulated and “neighbor noise” was not a problem! Jessica (property manager) was always delightful and easy to talk to and quick to respond. The six seater golf cart was the bomb! Highly recommend this place and Carolina Beach and surrounding area is charming, friendly, and safe🏖�🌴�

This is a wonderful beachfront home on Carolina Beach, good location, the pool is perfect, views are great. The elevator makes unloading the car a breeze. Always received a quick response from the owner on any questions I had before the check-in. We rented the golf cart with the home and it was great, we were able to park our car and use the golf cart to get around to the shops and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful time at the beach.

Ocean front property with expansive views of sea, dauphins, sunsets and sunrises. Property has a well-appointed kitchen, ample living quarters overlooking the ocean, ensuite bedrooms that are situated for maximum privacy. Even has a mini child's playground on the property. Management was helpful, courteous and prompt. We'll be back for more.

We enjoyed our stay but there were a few things that were an issue. The tub jets did not work in any of the tubs, the refridgator was not clean, the lights on the balcony to the living room did not work and one was hanging down(fire hazard). I understood that I would have access to the elevator but it was locked. Some of the TVsin the bedrooms did not have their remotes so we couldn't use them. I understand this is a rental and it is impossible to control those that rent from you so I just want to make you aware. We really did enjoy our stay, you have a beautiful set up and we greatly appreciate your hospitality. I would reccomend your rental to my family and friends!

Wow! There are 8 of us ladies that have been getting together once a year at Carolina Beach for the last 29 years. These 8 ladies travel from all over NC to get together to laugh and lie on the beach and rent a pontoon boat and ride around in a golf cart and shop and enjoy the Carolina Beach restaurants. We took a chance and went VRBO with Sandy Dunes for 2019. I had had no experience with a VRBO property. It was wonderful!!!!! I booked this property ONE YEAR in advance as after our 2018 beach trip at CB we all went to visit Sandy Dunes South and loved it so much I booked it the next day! Ian - owner of the home and Jessica, property manager and Ian's daughter were beyond wonderful to work with! It was seamless........well until the day of our arrival!!!!! OH NO!!!!! Hurricane Dorian was headed right for Carolina Beach!!!! But Ian and Jessica to the rescue! They allowed us to check in the day after the hurricane as thank goodness there was no damage to their beautiful home. They also extended a day at the end of the trip to allow us the four day reservation we had originally scheduled a year ago. This house is AMAZING! So beautiful. Love the elevator. Love the large spacious decks over looking the ocean. The living and dining area are all open concept and gave us 8 ladies plenty of room to cook and come together at the dining table to share a meal! I have requested to reserved this very property again the very same time in 2020. We were ALL thrilled with Sandy Dunes and can't wait to get back to Carolina Beach in 2020. Very nice and helpful owner and property managers! House is very nice and updated, complete with everything we needed. Had high chair and sand toys for the littles and extra beach chairs which were nice to have. Very sound proof, quite a few adults & kids staying in unit next door but we never heard a single noise! Love that there is the option to rent both units for larger groups & plan on coming back next year!

The issues impacting our large family: The living area is too small for a 5 bedroom condo, WIFI very spotty, not connected much of the time. Property manager very responsive, getting back immediately. Great views of beach, upstairs bedrooms very quiet. It would be a great place for less guests. BTW, we hardly heard our neighbors. Ian, a couple of replacements would make a big difference: couch and porch brown furniture in 3 floor deck, wicking is torn and scratched one of our little ones. Access to beach is great.

Enjoyed the beach and the town. House was another matter. Very disappointed!! It was not ready for renters. Have rented numerous beach homes in various states and NEVER encountered such issues and inconveniences as we experienced. Spent 4 out 7 mornings of MY vacation waiting for maintenance/repair people to come and complete various safety repairs. Electric, elevator, plumbing , lighting were issues. Elevator did not work properly until Thursday. two days before departing and one of the main reasons we rented this property. House had many other issues related to comfort: towels need upgrading, mattresses not very comfortable. I cannot recommend this property. The manager, Jessica, and the maintenance person, Justice, responded immediately and handled issues as best they could. However, no one should spend the money we did on this property and our vacation time have necessary and safety repairs completed at our expense.

We rented Sandy Dunes for our family when we came to our son's graduation from UNCW. The house was great. Beautiful views. Lots of space. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to feed the large gathering we had after graduation. There was plenty of parking space for all our vehicles. There were a few minor issues, but none that ruined our stay. We were given the wrong key code but the maintenance man was there within an hour and got us fixed up. The shower in the 3rd floor master suite was slow draining. Again, nothing major. My son is staying at UNCW to complete his graduate degree. So, we will be back in two years. And, if this house is available, I will reserve it again.

Cant ask for more out of a beach house. Everything is well taken care of and updated in the house allowing for a very comfortable stay.

We enjoyed a great family vacation! Being right on the beach cannot be beat. The views are spectacular. We visited the area in April, so it was a little cool at times... but, that didn't stop us from being on the beach every day. We were actually three families (13 people) and the layout of the house made it very comfortable for everyone. Bedrooms are large with their own baths and the older kids loved having access to Netflix in each bedroom. All in all, we would highly recommend a stay at the Sandy Dunes.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Sandy Dunes … and were thrilled with our accommodations at this first class beach house. The layout of this house is amazing with two master suites on the top floor, the entertaining and dining area on the middle floor, and three more bedrooms on the bottom floor. There wasn't a thing missing from this home (all the cooking items you'd ever need, linens, towels, tv's, etc.). And, with several older people in our group, the elevator was a wonderful thing to have available. Working with the owner and property manager was a delight. We've made many, many beach trips over the years … and this was the biggest success, by far. I can't say enough good about this home with the most spectacular porches and views you can imagine. We'll be back!

We arrived after dark and were unable to access the elevator or the door with the code given to us. After several people tried, I called management and I had been given an incorrect code for entrance. The property was very dark so we thought we were making mistakes with the keypads. Upon our entrance into the house (bottom floor), it was very noticeable that the home had not been cleaned. I was not happy with the things we encountered. The floors were sticky and sandy, the refrigerator downstairs had hair in it and was nasty and smelly inside, and the furniture in the bedrooms had not been dusted. The tv in the middle room did not work. There was no remote control in the other downstairs bedroom. Going up the stairs to the main floor the stairs were sandy and had hair on them. As you came up the stairs you can see underneath the furniture and it was very dirty underneath with ‘things’ on the floor. The floors on the main floor were sandy, crumbs on the floor under the stools (at the bar) where people had eaten, hair and squished food by the couch, a beer cap on the fireplace mantel, the furniture was dusty, and the bathroom had a dirty toilet. We had to clean the toilet and the sink because it was dirty. The next day the latch on the main floor toilet broke, which made the seat unusable. And, since we had to steal the toilet paper from this bathroom to use upstairs, this bathroom became unusable for the rest of our time there. Third floor was better than the others but, there was only a third of a roll of toilet paper in one bathroom so we had to take some out of the bathroom downstairs to get us thru. I’m not sure if it is normal practice to only have one towel and one washcloth for each person for three days, but that is all we had. I don’t mind using the same towel, but I do not want to use the same washcloth for that many days. After encountering all these things, it made me second guess if the sheets were clean, as well. I know when we stripped the sheets off before we left, it had stains on it. All of this is unacceptable, especially since we pay for cleaning. I reached out to Ian and told him these issues but I haven’t heard from him since. He said he would get back with me after addressing the issues. He said that Emily had left and John was doing the best that he could with the cleaning. My sister stayed in another of Ian’s houses and it was not clean either. She had to call management in order to get things they should have had.

My group of eight college friends spent a delightful Columbus Day weekend here in Sandy Dunes. We were so thankful that even with the recent hurricane, the property was in great shape and we were still able to enjoy our trip. The house is lovely, the beach is gorgeous, and I can't say enough good things about how responsive and considerate the owner is. We communicated multiple times in the two weeks between the hurricane and our stay, and Ian was always so quick to respond and to give us information about the property and the surrounding area. There's no question we would stay here again in a heartbeat. That porch alone is worth the price of admission - we had a number of fabulous conversations sitting out on the porch, feeling the ocean breeze and hearing the surf. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We were vacationing at the very lovely Sandy Dunes when, due to a hurricane we were asked to evacuate. But thanks to a very understanding owner, Ian, we are in the process of rescheduling hopefully for October. This place is perfect for our needs. We have 10 adults, 2 children and 5 babies. We all felt there was plenty of room and the décor was very comfy and well appointed. Bedrooms are nice, especially the two with the balcony on the ocean side. We recommend. Very eager to get back.

Modern, clean, well maintained and decorated. Excellent sparkling beach among American's best. Great over-all atmosphere and experience well worth the cost.

Gorgeous views from all 3 floors in this deluxe oceanfront home. We bring 3 generations of family together, now 6 adults and there’s plenty of from for all, including a dining room table and living area large enough to accommodate us. Couldn’t do it without the elevator for my 87 yr old Mom. Lots of beach themed art and some new, glorious, huge photos of the beach from all three decks. Great location: short golf cart ride to Blackburn Bros. Seafood (authentic place to get freshest seafood for cooking: jumbo lump crab, shrimp, little neck clams, all kinds of fish) , almost as close to Olde Salty’s (family restaurant with delectable soft shell crab sandwiches and fabulous flounder), and if u go north u quickly come to the State Park. We love Sandy Dunes!

My now-husband and I rented Sandy Dunes and Blue Water Vista for our wedding on March 29, 2018. They were the perfect venues to house our families and friends! Our guests really enjoyed staying in Sandy Dunes. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the house was in walking distance (and golf cart distance ;)) to Blue Water Vista. Ian, Emily, and John make a super responsive team.
