This a beautiful property, so private and quiet. Very comfortable and met with all our needs. The owners are very generous is leaving, bikes, beach chairs, and gear for renters. This is a lovely central location, close to everything.

Well-appointed, beautifully designed home. The property is lovely and crazy private for Princeville. Comfy mattresses, gorgeous vista, great cross-breezes with nicely screened sliders and windows. Hosts are generous with amenities and supplies. Only complaint—glassware is in need of a restock. Two wine glasses, some plasticware, and a few glass tumblers. Even with just two of us we were rewashing a lot (and it’s a vacation!}. Small stuff—hope to be back. Mahalo.

It’s just like in the pictures! So private, with luxury. We had a respite girls week and it was perfect! Great kitchen. Views are amazing….sunrise every morning from bed or the outdoor living space. The master bed and bath are set up to be in the nature of the back yard oasis. It’s an amazing place and did not disappoint!!

The property is located in a beautiful location in Princeville. The home was terrific and met all our needs for a few of five, with the grandparents also joining us. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

The house was very spacious for the 5 of us. The grounds of the house are inviting and beautiful. It is in a peaceful setting and the back patio is relaxing. We enjoyed being close to Anini Beach and the shops in Princeville and close to Hanalei. The house is nice, but a little dated. It was clean upon arrival with great instructions for check-in. There are 5 beach chairs in the garage, which were great to have access to. There are also lots of beach toys, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach towels, and beach umbrellas. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We didn’t notice until after our first night that there was no soap, or body wash, or shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms. Usually, a host will provide even sample size bottles of these things and/or a bar of soap. I don’t know if this was just overlooked by housekeeping or if this host just doesn’t provide those items. We had to go buy bar soap. A couple of drawbacks to this house are: 1) There is no air conditioning. There is a wall unit to cool the master bedroom, but the rest of the house was very warm. Those sleeping in the other bedrooms didn’t get much relief at night from the warm, humid air. Our visit was during an atypical warm spell, though. 2) I do realize that Hawaii has a climate for bugs and critters. So, I’m not sure what to expect as reasonable when renting a house, as we’ve always stayed in hotels during previous vacations to Kauai. But, there are little lizards in this house, cockroaches, and I saw a centipede. Not a ton of critters but enough to make me hesitate to rent a house in the future when visiting Kauai and stick to hotels, where critter control seems more robust. Perhaps, I’m just too much of a princess.

We hadn't been back to our island for awhile due to serious illness, but it was amazing to be back. We always rented the same home in Hanalei, but it was booked. So for the first time in 33 years we stayed in Princeville. The house was extremely private and for the most part, well appointed and comfortable. The gorgeous views from just about every window were of the lush ravine filled with verdent trees, ferns and abundant flora, and rang out with birdsong. The human neighbors were very quiet, however, the unavoidable roosters cawing at all hours along with the sound of idling diesel engine emited from giant cane toads are simply part of north shore life - bring earplugs.) The home was nicely decorated and fairly well equipped, however the sofa felt a bit old and grungy, and the throw pillows were scratchy. When we discovered the home's supplied beach chairs and umbrellas were all broken and unusable, Eric from Hawaii Life responded immediately with lovely brand new ones. He was helpful and kind.

This house is in a great location. You are in a neighborhood but tucked away so that it feels very private. There are windows everywhere that let you enjoy the amazing plant-life around you and let the refreshing breeze flow through. No need for air-conditioning! The kitchen and grill came in handy on nights that we didn't feel like food from a restaurant. The owner has available for renters: beach towels, beach chairs, swim fins in multiple sizes, snorkels and masks (for kids), bikes and even surf and SUP boards. We really appreciated the towels and beach chairs, and the easy access to the outdoor shower after our beach days. The outdoor seating area was great, we spent most of our time there. The hot tub was fun for a quick soak after the sun went down. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my family to spend a week in paradise!

This was my family’s first time to Kauai and we couldn’t have picked a better rental property to stay at during our visit. The house was beautiful both inside and out. Plenty of space, extremely clean and only 10 minute drive into Hanalei town. We will definitely be back. Aloha!

We absolutely loved our stay! The backyard is like its own private tropical paradise! The house is spacious and the garage is stocked with snorkel gear, boogie boards and everything else you could want for a beach. Walking distance to Queen’s Bath and the golf course means you’re minutes away to the best sunrise/sunset on the island! We will stay in this house again.

As great as the pictures look, the actual experience of staying there was even better. It was at once luxurious and comfortable. There was a water lily blooming on the deck when we arrived, which was quite a sight. The house was very imaginatively designed on the side of a hill so that the bedrooms are on different levels. Our 2 young boys were entertained by the good selection of movies provided every night. The property managers were highly professional and were very attentive to every possible detail. As a result, we had a truly memorable experience.

This home has ample amount of space for a large family or like us just the two of us. The master bedroom was very inviting with an over size master bath with a beautiful walk in shower. The hot tub was just off the master bedroom and very clean ( which is not always the case from my experience). We would highly recommend the vacation rental to anyone.

The house is beautiful and comfortable. We loved the location. There is a lot to do very close by. Bikes and beach toys in the garage were very helpful. We were sad to leave paradise.

The house was beyond what we expected and the pictures didn’t do justice to the actual house. The house came with all the recreational gear we needed which made us enjoying the island even easier. The location is just perfect because it’s on the quiet side of the island and minutes from Anini Beach, Hanalei Bay and not too far from Ke’e Beach. Thanks for the wonderful stay! We’ll definitely be back in a couple years!!

We had a great family vacation over Christmas and New Years at this home. The home itself is very attractive and the backyard is a beautiful jungle with a natural stream. The house had a lot of space and was comfortable for our family of six. But..we were a little freaked out by the very large cane spiders (think hairless tarantula). We found 10 in the house during our stay! We ended up sleeping with our lights on, and that seemed to help a little. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

Having had a house in Kauai for 13 years, I understand how hard it is to keep everything shipshape. Some of the louvered windows do not operate with the handle; a couple of doors don't lock.

A few quibbles: there are multiple steps throughout the house that caused several of us to stumble. Use caution, especially at night. Not ideal for older folks, but even some of the younger folks tripped a couple of times. The kitchen sink's drain was clogged--I disassembled the pipe and cleaned it. The guest bathroom's sink also was clogged--I removed the pop-up stopper and cleaned the gunk off. No coffee grinder or coffee maker--just a Keurig--beware! A hinge broke on a cupboard door--the property manager came over promptly and had it repaired by the next day--well done! The cabinet doors in the kitchen are a joke--no knobs to help open the doors. We had to reach to the bottom of several of the doors, nearly to the floor, to pull the doors open. PLEASE put pulls on all the cabinet doors!

We loved our stay here. The quiet and the smell of growing was so relaxing.. This is what we needed from our vacation. We stayed at home mostly reading and just being together . The home was immaculate and very pretty inside and out. The view off the back yard area was gorgeous. You are literally looking at a jungle area. There was a path that led down the cliff-like side to wander a little bit. It is a beautiful home.... with a bug problem.
We only stayed there for three days and I saw more than SEVERAL big cockroaches and Kane spiders, which were the size of the palm of your hand! They are fast and they jump! Most of the roaches were in the master bedroom. One was under the pillow. There was also a small ant colony living on the bathroom counter in the family bathroom. I was going to stay in the spare room, but there was earwig type bugs on the wall/ceiling. Needless to say, I slept in our rental car the first night. We had no where else to go and my husband said he paid a lot of money and could not get a refund at that point. Idk how long it was empty before we got there. I do know that there were roach traps in the master bathroom, so they are aware of the bug issue. I do realize that there will be bugs near all that flora, but not in the house. Overall, that was the only problem. It was beautiful, but I could not relax. There was lots of stuff in the garage to use for outdoor play. The house was fully equipped and spacious, if you are not afraid of cohabiting w bugs then you will be ecstatic. I will say we had stayed at a different house for the ten days prior and I did not see single bug of any kind.

It is facing what looks like a rain forest in the middle of Princeville. We felt like we were all alone. The layout works beautifully between sleeping quarters and dining/ living. It is well appointed with most everything you might want. My only small complaint is the washer dryer is in a detached garage. If you want to be in Princeville, I can’t imagine a better place to be.
