Breakfast was a little cold

Bed was comfortable, good location for Bridgewater carnival, plenty of space in car park. Very clean. Shower was good. Dove toiletries. Iron and ironing board. Would stay again if going to carnival. Nice pub across the road.

The toilet seat was loose, a few minor things like two coat hooks missing off the wall, and baggage rack was a bit broken. They were just left on the side. Bedside lamp not working on one side.

Friendly staff. Andrew on the desk was friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable. Big screen smart TV which I could plug my phone into which was brilliant. Bathroom was clean and with a powerful shower. I liked the Dove handwash. USB plug sockets by either side of the bed. Air conditioning was bliss. Comfy bed. Such a well thought out hotel and would highly recommend.

restaurant on site was very poor. food in the restaurant on the evening was low quality and not cooked great. I would recommend eating across the road at the pub.

The Hotel is light, modern and airy.It is very clean.The breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented.The bed was super comfortable! The staff are always welcoming and polite.

The room facilities were good and the standard of cleaning very good.

We have stayed at the hotel before, we admit that we cannot remember the standard/level of staff at that time but assume it was good, otherwise we would remember. To clarify the next statements, we have been in business for 40+ years and have found, in general that we as Managers were responsible for the quality of service/product that our staff provided. "The employee is an extension of the training and management they receive." The management at the Holiday Inn express, Bridgwater need to be totally overhaued, the training of staff needs to be addressed urgently. We never saw, we never greeted, spoken to or contacted by anyone in management during our stay. Never asked how we were or not enjoying our stay. Therefore we understand how the staff reacted or more pointedly did not react or interact to those paying residents. The breakfast is listed as "complimentary" but in fact nothing is for free, it will all be "included" in the price we pay. However the "breakfast" is actually is worst offering of this hotel: The "hot" food is over cooked, the eggs are only scrambled (think solid lump or Tortilla like) you are expected to eat it on a plate that will not hold a piece of toast, apparently this is to "save waste!" Draw your own conclusions from that comment, my view is you are so underwhelmed by the offering you go elsewhere. I continue; the toasters either provide something that is not toast or something that is actually on fire, no exaggeration, pieces of bread were appearing from the "Toaster" on fire. The "fruit juice" is so watered down as to unidentifiable as a product, the coffee/tea machines produce something that is not drinkable and those same machines are not the easiest to operate. No one is present to help.
