Very clean and peaceful. On the water (river) but no real water access. Listing eludes that there is "water access" but shore is steep and would be difficult to launch a kayak if you brought one. That said... Would certainly recommend it and stay again.

A lovely little cottage on Long River. Check in was easy, and the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We especially liked the calm view from the porch where we had our morning coffee. There are quiet neighbours on either side and the people around are friendly. Would recommend this to anyone making a trip to PEI.

Very nice little house to spend a week in pei. Close to cavendish and only about 30 minutes to nearest large city. Loved our stay!

Great place to stay. It felt like home. Neighbors were great and they had a little girl who was just a little bit older than our granddaughter. They played quite a bit over the 3 days. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Curtis.

The location is very nice. They have everything you need for your stay. The tv did not work at all. The owner did not seem to really care. We called him when we arrived and he was not very quick to respond. He then nessaged the following morning to say someone was going to come by 11 a.m. We waited until then and nobody showed up. I said we were going out for awhile and they could come by another time. Never heard from him again. I also was disappointed about the cleanliness. As soon as we arrived, I swept the floor and sent him a picture of the dirt to show it wasn't very clean. The place is very tidy but the sofa and reclining chair need a cleaning. We couldn't sleep in the double bed because it was so uncomfortable. We slept on the pull out sofa which to my surprise when I opened it, had left over chips in the bottom of the box frame. The ceiling fans have dust on them, so we never turned them on. The bbq was so dirty that we didn't want to use it. I told the owner about the few things that we were not happy about and he said he found it a bit surprising because his cleaners always do a great job. There was no radio or tv for the whole time we were there, so the nights were long and boring. I would not stay there again.

We went and weather didn’t cooperate, travelled into Charlottetown for a day and then just played board games (brought our own) and hung out inside.
It’s a good place to go an unplug.

The cottage was perfect for our small family. Easy to access all the beaches from the cottage. The owner was great to comunicate with as well.

Cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Very close to Sou'West restaurant - very good food!
Curtis was very quick to answer any of our questions and checked in mid week to make sure everything was ok. Would definitely go there again! Lovely setting, quiet and peaceful - exactly what we needed.

Was nice, but needs some maintenance
After checkin, the host stopped communicating, but for one request for a new propane tank which wasn’t delivered.
Lock box for key was not obvious to find, some instruction would have been appreciated.
Floor and rug were dirty. Only broom provided. Request for a vacuum to clean the shag pile rug was not responded to. The rug was full of debris and pet hair. Needed maintenance such as new cups (what is there is a mix of small useless cups), battery in the clock, light fix in the laundry shed, full propane… a lot of little things that would be easy to make someone’s stay more seamless. The master bed mattress is like sleeping on a bouncy castle. Nothing that ruined our stay.
The location was peaceful and neighbours were friendly. Close to local towns for groceries and beach access. We loved the area, but wouldn’t rent from this host again.

Beautiful Spot

Relaxing but could have been better.
The patio needs repairs. The Cottage is very nice and a prefect size for my husband and out small dog. The double bed was so hard that when we woke up and took a deep breath it hurt our ribs. There was one single bed that was really nice but the other one was really hard. My husband and i slept in the livingroom on the couch that pulls into a bed. The cottage needs dish cloths, compost bags and a bags. The hot water took a really long time to heat up. The tv is what we use to settle before bed and we couldnt watch tv due to not ( ITune Account) They had a Apple tv box. They had a bell dish and wires in the cottage but no box. Thanks to having the internet we got to watch netflix. There was no radio in the cottage. There should be more clocks in the cottage. The view in the morning and evening was so amazing with the sun rise and the sunset . It was a photographing dream place to take pictures.

Quiet and quaint
The cottage itself is clean and absolutely darling. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 for a cozy getaway. It was quiet and peaceful down a red dirt road with no other neighbours around when we were there except the local fox.
The sunsets and sunrises over the River were so beautiful to take in.
The only thing I would mention is for some reason the TV didn’t work, including our Netflix as it said an Apple sign in needed updating. But we really didn’t come to watch TV, so it didn’t bother us in the least.

Awesome time at French River!
It was our first time renting a cottage from vrbo and it was a great. Love the spot we had and hope to be back. We are familiar with the area as we love PEI and had come back through the years. Thank you, it was a great experience.Pat and Stephen

This place was a perfect little place for a quiet get-away, just what I was looking for.
It was easy to find and to access. It was clean and comfortable, just as advertised. The surroundings were even nicer that the pictures.
Curtis was a great host, friendly and responsive. I'd have no problem recommending this place. I will definitely be back.

Overall very satisfied
Overall we were very satisfied. The property is nice and in prime location to cavendish. The air conditioning was much appreciated. The neighbour was a bit rude to us the first night but we didn’t let him bother us. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.

Peaceful, beautiful views!
We enjoyed our stay at The Riverfront Skiff. The air conditioning was very much appreciated. We really enjoyed walking with our dog along the quiet dirt road and on the path through the clover fields. Beautiful views from the top of the hill!

Quaint, Quiet & Quality!
I had took my wife on a little vacation away from home for the weekend and it was everything that we could have asked for! A stones throw from the river, quiet and peaceful location, quaint cottage with tasteful upgrades and the price! We will definitely be back during the summer to experience the hot days lounging next to the river!
