We had a lovely vacation at the most perfect condo. The location was quiet but close enough to the pool, the clubhouse and an easy walk to town. There were adequate supplies and cooking gear for anything we wanted to cook. No problems.

Spent a few days with my 3 young daughters and husband. It was the perfect little rental! It had everything and more! We only used the pools one time due to the weather being a little chilly but the pool itself and area was very clean! The location was perfect being so close to shopping and the pier! It really felt like a home away from home with how cozy it was! Will be staying again in the future.

The location was great and the property was beautiful. The condo neighborhood was quiet and was stocked with the basics we would need for our stay. My family enjoyed the neighborhood table tennis and pool. The condo was neat and the rooms appeared clean. Unfortunately there was black mold in almost every air vent in the ceiling. We contacted the property managers as soon as we saw the mold, took photos and was told someone would come inspect the mold. We never got a return phone call and it did not look like anyone came to inspect or clean because the mold was still there our entire stay. As a result of the black mold, my family and I all have cold-like symptoms including sneezing, cough, and congestion. Some of us have asthma, so we’re a little more sensitive to mold exposure. I don’t like leaving a bad review, but I feel the communication lacked from the property managers and could be improved.

We recently visited Saint Simons Island for fall break. The condo was in a great location. Close to the pier and lots of wonderful restaurants. It was clean and well stocked. The property manager, Mary, was awesome. The bathtub would not drain after my daughter took a bath and she worked tirelessly on Saturday and Sunday to get a plumber out there to fix it. We really appreciated it because we truly needed two bathrooms with two teenagers in tow. We would recommend this listing as a place to stay for sure.

Spent 5 days in this condo. Complex is pretty and peaceful. Huge pond with paved walking area around it. Easy access (1 mile) to village, shops, restaurants and beautiful Neptune Park with walking trails along water. Highly recommend! We will return. Condo was immaculate!

spoiled wife
First, I love vrbo. I just wish that it was just by owners as it says. Secondly, I hate to have to go pick up and drop off keys!!! In today's age of technology one would think that there would be an easier answer, like keypads instead of keys! No trips to a second location. Thirdly, I am 63 years old. I love to watch HGTV. That is the only channel I watch. I do not do netflix or youtubetv or any of those things. This condo has only a basic package that has absolutely nothing worth watching!! That is ridiculous!! Now, having said all of that, we love the condo and all that the owner has done to make it comfortable. The TV situation was the only downfall. Other than that, we loved the unit.

Family weekend
St Simons is our favorite place and now a halfway meeting place for us. This condo was super clean. They had taken extra precautions with sterilizing the dishes. We loved having games to play. The beach and village area were so close. The beds were very comfortable. Just remember that the key is not on site, but close by.

If you are fine with comfortable and basic , you'll be happy at Ocean Walk. The apartments are well laid out and the location is walking distance to Pier Village. The on grounds amenities are good- 2 pools (1 heated), fitness center and tennis courts. The apartments are on the older side. We had problems with a leaky dishwasher and leaky bathtub. Real Escapes staff (kudos to Jan and Jonathan) were immediately responsive and had repairs made in a timely manner. If you are good with basic comforts at a fair price, you'll enjoy Ocean Walk. Just don't go expecting luxury.

Ocean Walk is a mid-price rental community for snowbirders such as ourselves. We needed pet-friendly, so knew our options would be lessened accordingly. Our rental Unit was comfortable, the baths and kitchen had not been remodeled. The utilities were older - dishwasher only worked so-so. Kudos to the Real Escapes staff who immediately responded to our leaking dishwasher call, as well as our bathroom leak call. Jan was on top of things immediately, the workmen were prompt and cleaned up after themselves . My only suggestion would be for Unit owners to spend a few dollars on upkeep of these often-rented Units.

The place was very dark...even with the blinds and shades open. The décor was old and needed updated....even just a lighter color with the use of a sofa cover would help. And the ceiling in the kitchen needed repaired...everyday it leaked.
