Bienvenido a Sideways House, llamado así por su elegante entrada ubicada en el costado de la casa, y un guiño a la icónica película que cata de vinos en el mapa. Esta majestuosa casa fue construida en 1926 y está perfectamente ubicada en una de las calles arboladas más deseadas de Lodi, a poca distancia a pie de salas de degustación, restaurantes, teatros, parques y el centro de la ciudad.
Esta hermosa casa ha sido recientemente redecorada y cariñosamente devuelta a su grandeza original. Hay una gran sala de estar con hermosas molduras originales, pisos de madera noble y grandes ventanales. Se proporcionan amplios asientos cómodos y un televisor de pantalla plana y una chimenea te ayudarán a sentirte como en casa. La sala de estar se abre a una zona de bar divertida que también proporciona acceso al área de comedor exterior. El hermoso y amplio comedor tiene capacidad para 8 personas. Lisa has to be te best host of any vrbo we have ever stayed at! She has thoughtfu touches everythwere and the home is so beautiful and comfortable and was not missing a single thing. The kitchen is better stocked than my own!
The location could not be better either; walking distance to many excellant restaurants and shops and a short drive to all the wineries! Thank you Lisa and we will definitely be back!

Came here for a get away with a group of friends who I've know for over 40 years, we each had our own comfortable room, there was so much great socializing space, the house is beautiful and the location is so great--quiet yet close to lots of restaurants etc. We were greeted with a homemade cake, strawberries and wine, and the kitchen is so well stocked with everything. The check in and out was super easy and smooth. Lodi is a lovely town. My friends and I all loved it!

Fabulous home, location, and host. Lisa was amazing and so accommodating with her recommendations, special touches and responses to our questions and requests. We had an amazing time celebrating a birthday in most part to this amazing home and it’s host, We definitely plan to revisit this property. It was my first VRBO experience and Lisa set a high bar for any other host we may encounter in the future through VRBO.

Beautiful home and neighborhood. We have an annual adult only family getaway and this home fit us perfectly!
We used the large dining table, kitchen, bbq, living room and bar non stop. Having a nook off kitchen gave us extra space for a "snack table". The exclusive bar gave us space for all the drinks. Living room was comfortable and spacious AND had a gas fireplace - lovely.
Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms had all the amenities needed.

We were so happy with our stay in Lodi at this beautiful home. The decorations for the holidays welcomed us and the warmth of fresh strawberries, cake, and wine were also incredible! The home was just what we hoped for with my parents (92 years), my children (27 and 23 years), and my husband and I sleeping well and space to complete wedding preparations and pre-gatherings. My parents, son, and I also benefited from the delightful adjoining Spa close by. Thank you so much for providing the perfect gathering spot in Lodi! Best wishes!

First of all, we cannot compliment our host enough on the simple and elegant luxuries she set up for our arrival!! From welcome goodies to flowers. We walked in feeling so welcomed and at home. The Sideways House is an incredible home filled with historical architectural elements; however, it has all modern upgrades that do not take away from its ambiance. All bedrooms are decorated beautifully and the beds themselves are very comfortable! Lastly, you can walk into town ~ only 4 to 5 blocks away! The Perfect Day Spa in the back of the property is another perk to staying here. You will not be disappointed!

The house is beautiful. It has a wonderful location. The only drawback is that the backyard is the entrance to the day spa which means there is a lot of traffic and people walking through but the thoughtfulness of the host and the location and set up at the house, made it worth it.

This is a beautiful house. We loved staying there. We felt relaxed and at home. The backyard is wonderful. Sitting, listening to the pond and the bocce ball court was an added bonus.
The house had everything an more than we needed. Note however, all the bedrooms are upstairs.

This home was immaculate and incredibly charming. Our group stayed here to celebrate a friends birthday and do some wine tasting. The owner, Lisa, was so kind and set out a bottle of wine, strawberries and cake. So sweet! The home is within walking distance to a few wine tasting rooms and restaurants which was perfect for us. We also took advantage of the spa next door. Booking this home gets you $20 off your service. Nice touch! Lisa considered every detail and everything we could have possibly needed was there. Literally everyone in our group was impressed by this home and we plan to come back again. You will not regret booking this place. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, Lisa!

We stayed at the Sideways House for 4 days- traveling to Lodi from N. Idaho for our daughters wedding.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this charming home. It is beautiful and close to EVERYTHING in downtown Lodi. We founds the beds comfortable and the house was spotless.
The host made us feel MORE than at home, with a cake and wine waiting on the table for us- and offerings at the Spa facility next door.
Both check-in and checkout were a breeze. We truly do not have a single negative on the property or host.

The Sideways house is stunning! Immaculate inside and out! Every little detail is covered here, you just need to walk through the door. Comfy beds, beautiful linens, ample towels and kitchen amenities - we didn't need a thing. With temps at 100+ we were also grateful for the AC!
We had an event at the Merlot in DT Lodi. The house was easily walkable to the venue and other restaurants and bars downtown.
Lisa welcomed us with fresh lemon cake, strawberries and a bottle of wine. We've never been so spoiled by a host! Best VRBO experience to date!

Lodi is quiet and beautiful, we went to the lake and the brewery and enjoyed both very much.

This beautiful home is easy walking distance to downtown Lodi and is absolutely beautiful. It has an amazing blend of elegant decor blended with at-home comfort and relaxing ambience. Lisa is an amazing host. She makes sure your stay is welcoming and is always available for any questions.. As a retired residential real estate broker, I always appreciated the challenges of satisfying the needs of my pickiest clients. I would recommend Lisa’s house to them in a heartbeat!

Best rental experience ever
I’ve stayed at a lot of short term rentals through VRBO and other websites and our entire group agreed this was the best experience and home we’d ever stayed in. It was very comfortable and all of Lisa’s personal touches were so appreciated. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again in the future. We asked for a pack and play and high chair, and it saved us so much space in our luggage. Location is convenient, backyard was nice for the kids to play bocce and see the koi pond, and home was perfectly appointed.
