This home is located close to multiple locations. Caddo Lake State Park, 30 minutes. Jefferson, 20ish. Shreveport LA, an hour. It was very well laid out with labels letting you know what was where. The owner lives on site but the homes are a good distance away from each other. It has two entrances, one on the side of the home with a cute little seating area facing a nice wooded area which gives you extra privacy. The other is off the back patio. Short walk to a nice little dock area on the water with a bench to sit on. The bed was decent (firm) and there was extra linen and pillows provided. The staircase to the upper bedrooms was steep and the living room has a door you can close off from the kitchen and master bedroom if you are having older individuals stay with you who are not as comfortable going up steep stairs. There is a futon in the living area. Overall we had a great stay. Just make sure to give yourself time between showers for each individual because the water does get cold pretty quickly but the pressure was good. There is also a little apartment you can rent behind the home if you need more space! Beautiful Home and a great stay.

The view from this lake house is AMAZING! You get the sunset every day! We also saw deer, a beaver, and an eagle! The cabin was well set up: labeled cabinets and drawers, two types of grills, plenty of towels & blankets, and some spices. We also liked the extra shelves set in most rooms to help stash our stuff.

The Host was first class. I would stay here again.

This was our third visit to Acorn Timbers and we hope to make it an annual trip. The cabin is perfect, we just bring our fishing gear and our food. We fish from the dock, enjoy the views, watch the birds and deer. Perfect place for relaxation. We took a day trip to see Caddo State Park and a little gambling and seafood in Shreveport. Hosts are great. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stayed three nights. We really enjoyed the great a/c to wait out the heat of the day. The guys had fun catching fish from the dock. My favorite experience was the deer that frequently walk through the yard. Overall very quiet and relaxing weekend

My wife, my mom and I stayed here with our 3yr old black lab over the weekend. We had a great stay, the house was clean, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. There was a slight issue where a guest booked another property on-site, but we were not told this by the hosts. I explained my concerns/frustrations to the hosts and Donna and Paul were very apologetic about this and I appreciate it. The guest in question was only there for one night/morning but it would have been nice to have been notified. Other than that slight hiccup, we had an awesome time and wouldn't mind renting this property again in the future. There are a few kayaks and a canoe to use. The dock is made of a plastic material and gets EXTREMELY hot during the day so please keep that in mind if you have pets as it might burn their paws. The location is very good and just a short drive into downtown Jefferson.

The property was in a great location, quiet and out of the way, which made it perfect. I loved the way everything was labeled and easy to find. The hosts have put alot of energy into making things nice!

We had a great weekend here. House/property was just as listed on VRBO. House was very clean, cold AC and comfy beds. Views of lake are outstanding. Saw so many deer. Owner was extremely friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Only 30 min short (beautiful) drive from Jefferson for shopping. Highly recomme d this property.

Beautiful A frame house with a nice dock. Kayaks and canoes that are included are a nice touch. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay here again.

Me and the boys took a long weekend to celebrate my Brother's engagement.

Every year, my grandkids go camping, and this year we decided to rent a cabin instead of using a camper. This place was exceptionally wonderful. The kids had access to fishing and swimming and boating. We were going to put restraints on their electronics, but then even have to, because they were so self entertained. We will consider staying there again. Donna was very accommodating with everything. We had a total of eight people, myself, my daughter, and six grandkids age 15, and under there was something for everyone.

It's easy to get to and a great place to get away to. Right on Lake O The Pines with its own pier and the place is well maintained and cared for.

Very nice place to stay. Relaxing atmosphere. Wildlife all around. Owners always nice. It's my 3rd stay there. I recommend it to anyone just wanting to get away

The weather was not great most of the 9 days we stayed here, but we still enjoyed our stay! Sitting on the deck watching the deer go by and the beautiful scenery. We caught a few fish, but it was just great being out in the lake. Paul and Donna were great people to rent from. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice location and very clean

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and plan to come back every chance we get. It’s peaceful and such a beautiful location. The cabin is well stocked, the bed is very comfortable, and the hosts are quick to respond with any question you might have. We saw deer, turkey,, and many birds including bald eagles! We caught lots of fish off the dock and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets. We love Acorn Timbers!

Property and hosts were great. Relax in a nice, quiet shady area overlooking the lake or jump in the canoe and do some fishing. Had zero problems with mosquitos!
