This is our second time staying at the host properties. They own a few of them all in a row. Both houses that we have stayed at have been amazing. Great location on such a fun lake. The hosts are super easy to communicate with and very accommodating and kind. Clean, welcoming, well-maintained. we look forward to staying here for many annual summer vacations to come.

Our family vacation was truly amazing. The amenities at the place were as described, and whenever we needed anything, the owners were incredibly helpful and responsive. We were blessed with fantastic weather throughout our stay, which made everything even more enjoyable. The house had a spacious patio that easily accommodated all 25 of us, making it perfect for gathering together and creating wonderful memories.

My adult children and I were looking for a peaceful lake home to have my husband’s celebration of life. This was the perfect location for my family to gather and honor him. The hosts, Ricca and Kip, have been incredibly helpful during our stay. We cannot thank them enough. We hope to stay again for a family reunion.

Property is amazing! Our host went above and beyond to make this trip unforgettable! Ricca was very knowledgeable of the area and was helpful in every way. I was arranging to rent a boat for the weekend and she jumped right in! She set us up with a company that matched her hospitality and exceeded expectations! Hats off to you Matt! This cottage property is a fantastic location on Cass lake with prime access to lake life. I hesitated in booking this home because the pictures represented small spaces but the listing stated 2200 sf. Unfortunately, this listing is not accurate, our group was cramped into under1800 sf - I measured this place three times with no recourse from the owners or vrbo. Public property sites will show 1776 sf or 2136 sf depending on which sites you visit. The issue is the 2136 sf includes the garage space that you have no access to as the owners keep their cars in there which you have to allow them access during your stay.
Wonderful lake home with very nice and accommodating hosts but know what you are renting and paying for Measuring tapes do not lie. If under 1800 sf works for you then I highly recommend this property.
We rented a boat from Last Resort Marina. Huge mistake with this rental company as the son recently took it over from his more responsible father. The new owner only accepts cash (red flag here). He will keep your credit card security deposit, so you are left disputing the charge. The pontoon started taking on water in one of the tubes within 24 hours after he dropped it off at our dock making it difficult to maneuver. The canopy screws fell out into the water so we had no canopy on day 2. Jay the owner of the boat rental could not care less. Do not rent from this company, there are great choices on Cass lake, a bit more expensive but dealing with a criminal while on vacation should be avoided.
We highly recommend Lakeside party store for basic grocery, chicken and pizza. Awesome friendly people there and tasty food. Many other good local restaurants in the area to enjoy but be sure to drive 20 minutes to Kruse's Deer Lake Inn for the #1 spot on our list.
Future renters - please pack your measuring tape so we can pressure the owners into an accurate description. Perhaps request measurements of each room prior to booking. Missing over 400 sf of living space is not the kind of surprise this vacationer appreciates.

Picture Perfect
This property is A+ very clean, picture perfect with a great location on the lake. Easy access and boat hook up if bringing your own boat. Breathtaking views from both bedrooms. The yard was super clean, we BBQ'd and it was great! Plenty of lounge chairs, tables for outside eating. We will defiantly be back! The owners of the property live next door and are just the absolute sweetest. They put their heart in soul into making your stay the best possible. They gave us recommendations on restaurants etc. If you stay here you'll love it!

Perfection
Check in was super easy! Great part of the lake - had best of both aspects of lake life! Huge yard (great for kids)! There is a loft in the house that wasn’t in the description but the kids loved playing up there! Ricca and Kip were exceptional! We will be back!

Little piece of lake heaven
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our visit to this property. The home and grounds were beautiful, and the water access suburb. I wish we could've spent more time. We liked the property so much we decided to have an extremely small social-distance friendly wedding. It was great for hosting a small group, and the property hosts were extremely accommodating! Location! Location! Location!
The location of this home is absolutely perfect! Cass Lake is very busy and this is a quiet and inlet....a no wake zone that is very calm & private. (With that being said if you are looking for crystal clear water of the main lake, this would not be an ideal location as there is lots of seaweed and it’s mucky. We swam anyway and it’s great for kayaking and paddle boarding - you must bring your own). But again - location! The grounds are beautiful. The owners live right next door for any immediate needs. Rent a boat from Skipper Buds (expensive but brand new boats and worth every penny)!

Great lake location
For spending time outside, on the deck, fishing and boating, this property delivered on our expectations. The waterfront was a wonderful location for our boat and our daughters spent the days laying on the floating pier and fishing. Dodge State Park is literally around the corner by water. Very peaceful and a great place to wrap up our Summer.

Multi-Family get away
Outstanding property. The home was very well supplied. Ricca has thought of everything, and will ask if there is anything she can do better. Kip was there often to make sure all was going well for us. I had booked the home for a group of people needing to be in the area. I was given praise for finding this property. I can only thank Ricca and Kip for making me look so good.

Great location, great owners, checks all the boxes
We arrived to a beautiful evening on peaceful, glassy bay. It was exactly as described. Kip and Ricca were great hosts (and nice people) and made sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. This home is on a "no wake" cut off of Cass Lake (all sports) and it was perfect for kayak, canoe and paddle board activities. It was about five minutes for wave runners (we brought our own) to get to open lake, but its an absolutely beautiful 5 minutes with lake and marsh views around Dodge #4 State Park. Super close to launch and marina facilities, if needed. The home was very comfortable for our group of 7 and couches accommodated the nieces and nephews that stayed a night. Awesome deck for entertaining and good boardwalk on the water with docking facility. We caught northern pike, bass, bluegill, sunfish, and a large bowfin from the dock. Not a ton, but enough to keep it fun for the kids (20 somethings). (We threw everything we had at them, and ended up most successful with bobber and a worm...) Note: The owners rent the home next door as well, so larger groups can be accommodated as well. Note2: There is a pontoon dock on site that is in need of repair, but it wasn't an issue for our group of adults.
Overall: Very happy with our stay, with the owners, the property and the lake ALL meeting our expectations.

great spot for families
Kip and Ricca who rent the place are lovely and right next door. They are very helpful in many ways. The property has beautiful views of the lake providing a parade of ducks and a resident swan. A new deck allows a great spot to sit outdoors and enjoy the view.
The house is comfortable and a good place to relax and enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped too!

Our Christmas Home Away From Home!
As family dynamics change, Christmas traditions often have to change, too. In order to be together with our kids and young adult grandchildren, we had to find a place that would be close to those who couldn't travel, and this was a great alternative to home. Ricca and Kip had Christmas decorations up and treats that warmed our hearts. Although we really didn't spend whole days in the home, it was nice to get up and have our coffee and breakfasts at our own pace and in our pajamas if we wanted ....returning at night to a glowing Christmas tree and a very pleasant environment. I can just imagine that this would be an outstanding location in the summer, right on a protected bay of Cass Lake.

Memorial Day on Cass Lake
We can't say enough about the lake house rental. It simply is outstanding and more than we had even asked for. The house is beautiful, centrally located, well stocked and perfect for a family to relax and unwind. The pier fishing and boat dock were ideal as we really just wanted to be out on the water and with four kids ranging in age from 10-19 that was one of the few things we could agree on. Dodge Park has also become a new family favorite - who knew such a quaint and ideal state park was in the area. Great beach and more fishing off the pier. Ricca and Kip were fabulous hosts and even when our boat stalled they were able to direct us to the local marina for help. It truly was a great holiday weekend - we will be back - don't change a thing!!!

Dear Ricca and Kip, I cannot thank you enough for providing the perfect place for our families to gather for our daughter's wedding. Our new in-laws travelled from Germany and were so pleased with the lovely home they stayed in. You provided all the necessities for a comfortable stay. This was our third time back to the lake house. It is a beautiful home with great views, a dock and cleats to hook up your boat. It is very tranquil yet close to a lot of tourist sites if you want activity. The owners are wonderful. They are friendly and accommodating in every way. They are actually now our friends :) We can't wait to go back next year, we may even make a family reunion out of it and rent both houses.

Our four night stay was so comfortable and warm. The house was well stocked. we threw a dinner party for 13 comfortably. The views were serene. The landlords delightful. We loved the shopping in Birmingham. WE SHALL RETURN!!!!!!

So much more than we expected!
Ricca and Kip, Thank you for making our stay at the Lake House so memorable. The huge out door deck was just perfect for the much needed relaxation we were looking for. The view of the tranquil bay and sunsets are memories we still talk about. The property has a very welcoming and comfortable feeling to it that instantly made us feel at home. It was great to be able to rent jet skis near by and REALLY special to be ale to dock our boat right in front of the house. We wish we could have stayed MUCH longer, and will plan that for the next time. thanks again for providing a clean, well kept and beautifully furnished property!

Cass Lake Rental
The property was great! Easy to get to with plenty of room and very clean. Great facilities, (washer, dryer, TV, internet access). Bring a fishing pole because bass fishing from shore was outstanding. Was about 40 minutes from Comerica Park and downtown Detroit, a very easy drive.
