An absolutely wonderful week. Perfect weather. The house had everything we needed. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Had an issue with the pool heater, but it was taken care of immediately. Would highly recommend to a large family.

When we first arrived we were amazed by the house. However the house was dirty.
We also ended up repairing things along the way. I was disappointed with the amount we paid and the condition of the house

Third floor wooden elevator door needs repairing(shimmed or removed and shaved). Dining tables need to be properly refinished non sticking finish. Everything place on this table stuck like glue.
Other than the above all was perfect. This was our third time staying at the Lemon Cooler. We prefer the Corolla area as all was within a great distance from our stay.

This is a nice house, but not a great handicap accessible house. Down falls. 1)only 2 handicap accessible showers. 2) they only 2nd deck access is through the media room which is a pain if someone is watching a movie or playing game. 3) the pool gameroom entry sliding door is very small and not easily accessible for a person with a rolater or wheel chair. The tub/shower in 2nd floor queen is a pain to get into and out of. I took my 82 year old disabled mother to meet up with her 83 yr old disabled sister. We made the best of it and it is a nice house with a fully stocked kitchen (that needs organized). The bedrooms are all nice, but the furniture is too big to have handicaped ppl maneuver their rolaters. I would suggest redoing some bathrooms to make them more handicapped accessible and I highly suggest to add to the 2nd floor deck from front porch around to meet the 2nd tier deck. That would make it so much easier for all 4 of 2nd level bedrooms to access the deck. The pool and hot tub were great. I suggest better pictures of the bathroom/showers on the website as well. It is a really nice house, it was just difficult for my mother and my aunt to maneuver through the small sliding glass doors and to the bathrooms in their bedrooms.

This is our second time coming to stay at the Lemon Cooler. We have stayed at many houses over the years but came back to this one for the privacy. The house is beautiful, well equipped and close to everything.

This was are first time vacationing in the obx and it was a great time. Everyone loved it here especially enjoying the pool at this home. It had plenty of outdoor space around the pool and all the deck space was great to have. The house was great, unfortunately we were told the group before was rough on the house and few things broke and went wrong but the maintenance group was awesome in responding and staying on top of things. We understand things like this can happen with houses being rented every week and it’s just not possible for homes to be inspected from top to bottom. They were all minor things and definitely did not stop us from enjoying are time at this home. Not to far of a walk to the beach, although that is are goal for next year is to be on the beach. But if not this is the house we will be back at for sure

The House was not ready when we arrived at 4, so that was disappointing. The cleaning lady felt rushed so we feel she did not clean as well, because of it. The elevator was not working until Thursday and all that was need was for it to be reset, feel like that could have been taken care of earlier in the week so that we could have used it more, since we had someone who needs it for health reasons.

Family Vacation
House location and amenities were ideal for the type of restful vacation we were trying to have. Unfortunately, the cleanliness aspect of the house was a little disappointing. While the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the common areas were not up to par and a little dingy. We constantly had to swipe the sofas for sand every time we sat down from the moment we got there. Also, all of the floors were sandy when we arrived as well. We did sweeping when we left and the house was cleaner than when we arrived.
Also, the backyard was filled with these prickly weeds that made it difficult to play in the yard. There were also large branches sticking out of the volleyball court that were very dangerous and could not be removed.
Either way, we enjoyed our time together and made the best of it.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The distance to the beach was a short walk. The house was big and we all had our own bathrooms. We were unable to use the backyard bc there were sharp bur pods all over. They ended up piercing through sandals and had to be removed from our dogs paws. I reached out to maintenance but they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The pool was great and so was the hot tub

Family vacation
The house was fine. But the screened in porch was unusable because of the bugs. The grill was filthy the exits i instructions put the duty to clean the grill on the exiting party. We couldn’t use it even though I had to buy a new tank of gas because it was empty. None of the porch furniture was usable because they were coated in bugs
We got a call mid week from an”elevator repair “ service asking all kids of questions. When we called the emergency number we were told they were an answering service and call 911 but there no crime in OBX so don’t worry. The doors had flimsy locks so we were very concerned. When we called the next day (because no one returned the emergency call). They basically said the same thing. No crime and don’t worry.
The maintenance were great. The were very responsive but didn’t repair the slider to the pool. It was broken all week.
Finally, nothing to do with the house but anti-maskers we’re abusive to those of us that actually care about our health. We were heckled for wearing our masked at various places

Nice property. BUT
House was in a great location. Quiet neighborhood. Overall the house was just right for our family of 14. However, the house needed a very deep cleaning. Lots of dog hair on the floors, we found chip bags, socks, and cookies in the bedrooms. We found the vacuum and it was completely clogged up with dog hair.
The pool was great, although the pool deck was terrible with dog hair.
We did call the rental co. Said we should’ve contacted them when we got into the house, they would’ve sent someone to clean again, but. after 11 hours of travel with 7 kids, it just wasn’t feasible .
There was plenty of pots and pans for cooking, it did have 2 dishwashers which was nice.
Overall, not sure we would use this property again.

Beautiful house!
This property was spotless when we arrived, very clean, very well stocked kitchen, there is plenty of pots, pans, accessories, dishes, glasses, it is the best stocked kitchen of any property I've ever rented. The location is good, close walk to the beach, the decks are beautiful as well as the interior, very spacious, enough room for everyone to sit and have their own space. Two dishwashers and two refrigerators were very helpful! Everyone loved the pool table, I would definitely recommend this property. The property management company was very responsive with any questions we had prior to our visit and even called me to let me know the property was ready early for occupancy. Excellent customer service! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving at the beach fun and memorable!

We had a wonderful week. Very open with kitchen and living room on top floor. Beautiful views from the spacious decks. Very private; not very close to neighbors. Huge plus is it’s dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

The only real issue we had was the internet services. House has both ethernet and wireless. Both went out during our stay and were fixed, but the wireless went out a second time and because the maintenance person had the key and it was his day off, it couldn't be repaired. I would suggest a backup plan! All in all it was a great week and those of us who had to work found a way to do what we needed to do! It would be perfect if it was a Friday or Sunday turnover!!

We take full advantage of the house and cook and eat there for every meal. I have passed information on to others so they can also enjoy it. We is have to sweep the stairs and vacuum when we arrived. We felt uneasy knowing someone had come there when we were all at the beach to change the air filters. They also left the dirt all around the areas. We had a problem with the washing machine and found it to be difficult to get a time that it would be fixed. It took 3 different people and 1.5 days. We understood that the company could come in at any time with the pass code, but that made some uncomfortable so someone stayed home during that time. the repair man was great.

Great house. Had everything we needed. It coukd have been cleaner. A couple of maintenace issues which were mostly resolved. A broken freezer icemaker that was replaced, but still didnt work. Thank goodness for second fridge/freezer in lower level.

Disappointed
Upon arrival the AC not working we called realtor they sent one of there people then he said he would call HVAC so hopefully by Sunday get service. The pool was not ready the hot tub was green i told realtor, they said they would put a call in but couldn’t say if anyone would come. The WiFi was down and tv,s not working that was another call so they had to walk us through the fuse box location so we could reset everything. The master bed that had a king bed had queen size sheets so that was another call I got an attitude from the woman who was covering the Sunday phone she seemed to question why we wanted King sheets. Oh there were clothes in the drawers in the bathroom and a diaper under the bed. This was a stressful vacation we never received a call back from anyone to check if there was anything else. The floors were dirty and the sofas had sand on them. We will not be staying in Corolla again.

Great house for all our families. Had a family join us from Norway and it was stress free staying here. Had a wonderful time. Pool was clean and everyone enjoyed their time playing pool games.

Upon arrival we found the property to be clean and orderly. The elevator was a big bonus as we moved our luggage and supplies to the 2nd and 3rd floors. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group including the 2 dishwashers and sufficient counter space for food preparation. A few items in the kitchen could have been a little cleaner but overall the kitchen was in good shape. Bedrooms were comfortable with five having their own bathrooms. Bathrooms were clean. There were two living areas with large screen TVs and sound system. It was nice to have access to movies and music through the week. The balconies had plenty of seating, a screened area and the second floor level provided a nice shaded area. We would have liked being a little closer to the beach but it was an easy 10 minute walk. The beach in this area was very nice and wide compared to other locations south. While at the pool we could hear a little noise from traffic but it was not an issue while inside the home. The side walk made it easy to get to beach and also ride bikes to shopping, store and restaurants. All things considered, this was a good value for large group.

This house could not be any better. Super clean and spacious. It has all the extra touches that made our vacation week special. There was a wagon to take stuff to the beach, flashlights, beach gear, two grills, the outdoor sound system was a great touch. We will definitely stay there again. The kitchen was better stocked than my own house. The beds were comfortable. DirecTv and Roku was available with premium channels. Two dishwashers was great and the elevator was helpful when unloading groceries. Very close to the beach - about a 7 minute walk and the pool and hot tub was very clean and relaxing. Volleyball net in the back yard. About a mile to the Food Lion and shopping area.

Overall, this is a fantastic and well kept vacation home. Plenty of room for the huge family we had with us with places for adults and teens to hang out in separate spaces, but still come together upstairs for dinner. Walk to the beach is a little further than I would have liked - and be prepared for a lot of steps to get over the dunes, so bringing gear is more a pain than I anticipated. Still, though, this house is as good as advertised and we enjoyed ourselves with no issues.
