This was one of our favorite rentals. The location at the very top of the hill provides views in both directions — Christiansted and sunsets, Buck Island and sunrise. We had dinner outside every night — even one night when it rained.

We've been going to St. Croix for many years and have stayed at various places. We have stayed at Top of Shoys several times before and think it the best of all the places we've stayed.

What a perfect vacation home! Pictures do not do it justice, the bedroom/ bathrooms, kitchen, pool and deck space far exceeded our expectations. Panoramic views everywhere you look. Donna was wonderful and very accessible. She answered any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this property and will be going back.

What a wonderful stay! The pictures do not do the property justice. They place is gorgeous. The views are spectacular from every angle. Great location. Close to the Christenstead boardwalk with great restaurants. Only about 30 mins to the west end where we visited a few times. You also have access to Shoys beach (2min drive) where one day we were the only ones there. There are some beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, and some snorkeling gear available at the home. It was also one of the best stocked homes we have stayed in. Thanks again! We made some great memories here.

This house is magnificent! The views are incredible from both sides. We loved the set up! The huge kitchen and living area are enclosed perfectly & the bedrooms are spacious and spread out. The pool is also amazing! We hope to stay again!

Top of Shoys is a beautiful property. It is up on a hill so it gets breezes all day. There are lots of outdoor living spaces. The bedrooms are nice and spacious, but the master bedroom and bathroom are huge. This is the first VRBO where I felt the photos didn’t do the property justice. There are beautiful views from every angle. The house has everything we needed. The pool was beautiful. I really can’t say enough good things.

As a long time and frequent visitor to St. Croix, this house is quite possibly the most well thought out and has the best layout of any we've stayed in. The bedrooms are all spaced out, allowing maximum privacy and the center area which houses the kitchen, dining and living rooms is simply beautiful. The kitchen is also one of the most well stocked as we've seen. The master set-up is amazing and the views are fantastic. Shoys is the best area to stay in, allowing easy access to downtown Christiansted and the Buccaneer and its amenities. Our grandkids loved the area which used to be a hot tub, as it was shallow and safe for them to swim in. We had a wonderful trip and would definitely consider this house again!

Our traveling party consisted of 4 couples, all over 50. We had a great time in St. Croix and this vacation home was the hub of everything we did. The bedrooms are large and air conditioned, the kitchen well stocked, and the outdoor space was expansive. We can't wait to return to this same home. The few minor issues that arose were handled quickly and communication was excellent.

We just stayed at Top of Shoys for a week. The property views are incredible and it really is at the top of the development overlooking The Buccaneer Hotel, Buck Island and Christiansted. WE LOVED THE HOUSE so so much!! The house had a few issues that could be easily fixed if communication was better with the property manager. The bidet in the master was leaking into the master bathroom walkway, pool skimmer was ripped to shreds, 2/4 bathrooms had NO hot water the entire stay. We made these issues known. After reaching out to Donna about getting a new pool skimmer to get the bugs out of the pool she said she would have one delivered the next day. That never happened. We shared showers at first and didn't tell her about the hot water until a few days into the trip. When I did reach out it was a holiday so we DIDN'T expect immediate service. She said she would send someone over on Monday morning and that never happened. Cold showers for the rest of the trip. We ran into a couple other issues like trash cans/pickup and a missing cap on the garbage disposal pipe. With no help from previous issues we stopped asking. We reached out about a late checkout due to flight delays and we also asked if we should be expecting people at the property the last day because there were two cars in the driveway and she never responded. In the islands it is important to have a property manager who is available during normal hours because it is really difficult to find certain items/fix issues on your own. We spent over $10,000 to have access to all four bedrooms and showers for our family. With that said, we expected the house to be in perfect running condition without ANY issues and OPEN communication with the property manager. If Donna had followed through it would have been a different experience. Just an honest review to help you when considering this home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Top of Shoys. The home provided our family of 5 the perfect layout and design for our needs. We loved the pool, the amazing views, the privacy, and quiet neighborhood. Away from everything- yet very close! We’ll be back!

We loved our stay at Estate Shoys. The house was spacious, with great views and amazing sea breezes. The layout of the home was quite unique in that the common area was a separate structure separated from the bed room suites by an open air atrium. The layout enabled us to have plenty of time together with our friends but gave us privacy in our individual suites. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have wanted for a long stay from dishes and glassware to cookware. We took advantage of that and cooked in for most of our meals. The pool area was lovely with plenty of cushioned seating. We also took advantage of playing golf at the Buccaneer resort; the house overlooks the 8th hole. We loved the location and found it easy to get around the island, though for the most part we didn’t venture out that much. Christiansted was only about a 5 minute drive. All in all, the house was exactly what we wanted!

I politely responded that we would prefer the unrestricted experience of the villa, a request which she ignored. (Needless to say, there was no offer of proration). On the day of our check-in my flight was canceled leaving me to rebook and throwing off the day’s itinerary. I reached out to Donna informing her of the situation and that my friend will probably be checking in without me and was greeted with silence. My friend also reached out and got no response. Luckily, I was able to quickly rebook with another airline and instead got in an hour later than my original arrival. Growing worried that it was nearing check-in (2 hours away) and Donna appeared to have gone AWOL, leaving no instructions, I called Donna. On first impression, she appeared to be confused that I inquiring about check-in and grew reluctant to provide details as it was 2 hours away. I had to reassure her that I will not be getting there before 4pm especially as I was still in St. Thomas awaiting my flight to St. Croix. As she started to provide the details the phone disconnected and was unable to reach her again. We made it to villa, as a door was left unlocked and the villa did not disappoint, though I’d caveat by saying that I cannot attest to the state of the other 2 bedrooms. All in all, if your party is 4+ And you’re willing to be at the whim of the property manager, then I’d say go for it. Otherwise, you should spend your money somewhere that customer experience is valued!

Our family group of six (4 adults, 14 year old, 11 year old) spent spring break on St. Croix and could not have been more pleased. The house was beautiful and exactly as expected. Given the current times, we stayed in for all of our meals and the kitchen was extremely well stocked, including spices and coffee! The house was very clean and organized with ample Wi-fi for the group and a relatively large pool. The living/dining/kitchen area is completely separate from the bedrooms (each with a private bath), making life much easier for all. Those who retired early, or slept late, were not disturbed by everyone else. The location was excellent in a secure, gated community with panoramic ocean views. Necessities such as groceries and gasoline were a short 10-15 minute drive. Donna was extremely responsive, making check-in and check-out a breeze. I highly recommend the property for family groups who like to spend time together, but also like a bit of privacy.

My wife and I had a great time staying at Top of Shoys. The property was in excellent condition with great views northeast to Buck Island and west to Christiansted (which is beautiful at night). Checkin was easy and the neighborhood is safe and secure with its own beach that is among the best on island.

All the bedrooms are wonderful with comfy beds, plenty of closet space and spectacular views. It would be nice if the villa had a book to explain everything including restaurant ideas because there is no one there to greet you or show you around the house it’s up to you to figure it out. A beautiful home with panoramic views.

OUTSTANDING, AMAZING and SPECTACULAR. Beautiful house Amazing views from any place in the house. We have rented many houses over the past 20 years This one is the best by far. Donna was very nice.

We've stayed at several luxury villas on the beautiful island of St. Croix. Top of Shoys villa is an exceptional property. The openness of the shared living areas are spacious and comfortable and the private and locked suites are equally spacious and comfortable. Regardless of where on this property one stands, the view is absolutely magnificent. Top of Shoys needs a visitors handbook/directory. We did a bi of troubleshooting on how the property functioned. For example, TV system and spa/hot tub directions. Communication with the property manager was difficult and although we had a few phone conversations initiated at our end once we were on island, ultimately we never met her. Fortunately, we have family on island and have visited St. Croix for several years so with help from family, were comfortable figuring things out on our own.

Donna was very easy to work with and very responsive. The house was beautiful. We would go back again.
