We had the pleasure of staying at this incredible island condo in Grand Cayman, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The location is unbeatable, with stunning ocean views and easy access to pristine beaches. The condo itself is beautifully appointed, with modern amenities, comfortable furnishings, and everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The accommodations were top-notch, providing all the comforts of home with the added luxury of being in a tropical paradise. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease. The living area was spacious and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the island. The bedrooms were cozy and quiet, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
However, one important thing to note is to always check the weather during hurricane season before traveling. Unfortunately, we had to evacuate just two days after our arrival due to an approaching hurricane. This led to some challenges in finding a flight off the island, which added stress to our otherwise wonderful vacation.
Despite this hiccup, we still highly recommend this condo for its prime location and fantastic accommodations. Just be sure to keep an eye on the weather forecasts if you plan to visit during hurricane season. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would love to return under better circumstances!

We've been to GCM many times but this was our first stay on the North Side. The sunsets are stunning and became the event of the day for us. We walked next door to Rum Point for a cocktail or snack. The restaurant is remodeled and beautiful. The GM Cory was so welcoming and took great care of us. We rented a kayak for the week and spent a ton of time paddling around. The snorkeling was fantastic. There is sea grass in the shallows as you wade out, it isn't the soft sand of SMB but it is quiet and beautiful and the private beach is great. We drove to Starfish and had a fun afternoon. We could have walked but it was too hot.
The condo is perfect. Views from everywhere you turn. The little yard out front was perfect for the kayak and some extra privacy. The whole complex is very quiet and peaceful. We found everything we needed in the condo and it was super clean. The layout was fantastic for us a our pre-teen. There were plenty of beach towels, and we just popped them in the dryer at the end of the day. The only drawback we found is the lack of water pressure in the showers but that is an island thing I believe. If you bring a flashlight you can find crabs in the bushes at night.
We shopped at Kirk's in town after we landed because we like the food and the variety there. Chisholm's close to the condo came in handy for a few things we needed and beer throughout the week.
We will definitely be back and stay at Retreat 23!

The VIEWS!! This condo is amazing and just as pictured. Literally steps from the beach and Rum Point Club. Very short drive to Kaibo and Star Fish Point which should be on anyone’s todo list. The owner Katrina will send you an email with all the details prior to your stay that give you all you need for a great vacation. We are already planning our return trip. Thanks for everything Katrina.

Our week here was fabulous! This place is amazing and beautiful! It had everything we needed. The area is beautiful and this place is perfect. It had plenty of space. Our luggage was lost on the way and I was glad there were beach towels to use and a washer/dryer. The owner was quick to respond with questions. We would definitely stay here again, it was sad to have to leave.

We have always stayed at Morritts but decided to stay closer to Rum Point this trip. You can’t get any closer than The Retreat and we are so glad we found this gem. The condo was so clean and decorated so pretty. It had every comfort of home and have zero complaints. There is a restaurant next door, close grocery store and close to starfish point. We only drove to Georgetown one day to let our daughter do some touristy things but relaxed on the North End for the rest of our stay. Red Sail Sports picks you up next door at the Rum Point dock for boat outings which is really nice to not have to drive to meet them. It is a must stay!!!!!

A beautiful quiet beach just steps from the condo door. No crowds, no stress, no problems. Clear clean water with reefs and tons of marine life to enjoy while snorkeling. We plan to return!

We had a fantastic week at Rum Point with our kids ages 10 and 12. The unit was perfect with everything in the kitchen and a good nonstick pan, which is rare in a rental! We loved the location on the point and the convenience of the ground floor unit.
We snorkeled right off the beach and were amazed to see turtles, rays, and even a couple of nurse sharks and an eel! The neighbors were friendly and made great conversation, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy the sunsets every night. We’d love to stay here again!

Our family enjoyed a beautiful week at Retreat at Rum Point. The condo has everything you need and we love the peace of this part of the island. Dinners at Kaibo and Upstairs were incredible and frozen drinks from Rum Point or the blender in the kitchen were delicious. We loved being able to snorkel right out the screen door! We will book again!

We stayed at the retreat condo.
It was low season and we were the only ones here more or less. For us this was perfect. Rum point is 40 mins from George Town but very close to Kaibo restaurant where many activities start from and where we had a super lunch.
We enjoyed the Sting Ray sand bar visit immensely from kaibo beach and seeing the blue iguanas at the Queen Elizabeth 2 botanic gardens which is not far.
The crystal caves visit and the bioluminescence kayak trip where all good.
High class apartment with everything for cooking and very comfortable. Can’t fault it really. We love cooking and the kitchen has everything you need . Evening meals on our own with a very calming view on the sea front.
Top tip Bring your own wine, tonic and gin as alcohol is expensive. Everything is available here but pricey.
Very safe place and internet is really fast.

Stayed 10 nights for our Anniversary Celebration. Condo was clean and you couldn't ask for a better location. Pretty much had our own "private beach" but for the occasional "passers by". All the people we met were really nice, had a few cocktails together and got to know them a bit while we were there. Was fun watching the crab races on the lawn every morning from the patio. We had everything we needed from kitchen gadgets, beach towels and linens. The washer and dryer came in handy since we had a 10 night stay. Snorkeling was great just steps away from the condo. Being right near the pier was so convenient for our stingray/snorkel tour on the beautiful sail boat booked right next door at Red Sail Sports! Bio-luminescent Bay Electric Boat tour also just steps away booked through Cayman Kayaks. Starfish Point just a short drive up the road near Kaibo Beach Club. The staff at the restaurants were fabulous. It was so convenient to walk just a few yards to grab a bite to eat on the beach for lunch. We ate at the restaurant several times in the evening. Again, the service was great and the food was really good. The weather was perfect and no bugs in sight. The sun sets were gorgeous. Thanks so much Katrina and Matt for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

2 couples spent a week at this condo beginning of January. Very easy process from beginning. Plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen. Beach is right out the front door.
Over the edge n Kaibo bbq on Tuesday were our favorite places to eat. Rum Point right next door is nice. Their restaurant is very overpriced. Things are not cheap on GC, but we were not impressed with what we got for the price.
Rented a car n was very easy to drive around island. Traveled the entire island. Grocery stores on way from airport. We cooked a few dinners and made breakfast every morning but 1.
Katrina n Matt are great to work with n we would recommend their place to anyone.

Lovely, relaxing stay
We loved staying here! The property was very spacious and well stocked. We didn't feel it was lacking anything. The location could not have been better. We traveled with our six year old son and had a great time soaking up the sun, snorkeling right off shore, catching a few boat excursions from the nearby dock, and just relaxing on the beach or the porch. The beach was always quiet and chairs were always available. Katrina and Matt were available to answer any questions very quickly. I cannot think of anything that could be improved upon and I hope we get the chance to get back there soon. I have stayed on Seven Mile Beach before and I am now a convert to the Rum Point area. So peaceful and relaxing.
Property was exactly as described in the listing, we made a stop at the grocery store on our way in as suggested and stocked up for some meals we knew we wanted to have in. Other than that there were enough restaurant options nearby to keep us satisfied and of course there are more than enough dining options all over the island if you have a car or want to catch a taxi.

Superb Cayman Christmas
My husband and I rented this property with our two adult children for 8 days over Christmas. Everything was wonderful. The condo was very comfortable and the views were amazing. We felt blessed each morning to wake up and see the beach and ocean.
We snorkled multiple times a day right out front of our rental and saw an abundance of varied sea life each day. We have traveled the whole island over the course of a couple of visits to Grand Cayman and we can say Rum Point is our favorite part of the island.
The owners are great to work with and made the coordination of renting this property seamless. Thank you !

Amazing condo. We loved everything about it. The size was perfect for the 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 teens. It had everything we needed and more. The location was amazing. Katrina was wonderful and so responsive. I would highly recommend this property and would love to go back again!

Amazing Stay
What an amazing place to stay. The space was large for a family of four, it was very clean, the views were spectacular, the location was perfect and the entire area was completely safe. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. Katrina was very pleasant to work with and always answered my questions within minutes. Paradise
We couldn't be more happier! This property was perfect for our girl's trip. The condo and grounds were very clean and the staff very friendly. Katrina sent all the instructions and tips.... which were extremely helpful. We arrived after office hours but had clear instructions on how to enter.
The location is far from the hustle and bustle.... which was perfect for what we were wanting. Starfish Point was a mile away. We didn't need to book any trip. Just take your snorkle gear and hop in! Red sail is right next door to go swim with the stingrays.....awesome excursion!
This is the perfect property for relaxing. Everything you need is there. Plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, closet space, games, floats, beach towels, and outside shower to rinse off. We enjoyed the conversation cards at the dinner table each night😁�
I am definitely going back to this property and slice of heaven. We all teared up when we had to leave.

Rum Point #23
Overall, we had a lovely stay. The property is well maintained, gorgeous views, and being right next to Rum Point Beach Bar was a giant plus. We are used to staying on Seven Mile Beach during our stays, so this location was definitely more remote and more of the typical island feel....tranquil, low key, very relaxing. The time of year we went (late September) is during rainy season so we fought with mosquitoes quite a bit, but it was also gorgeous to see the clouds roll in each day, have a bit of rain and then the glorious sun burst out once again. We snorkeled several days right off the beach and once you get through the turtle grass right off shore...about 50 yards out....opens up to crystal clear water, gorgeous fish and some of the most beautiful coral I’ve seen. We also saw one of the largest live conch shells we’ve ever seen feeding in the turtle grass on our way out. We had an amazing week.

Paradise
My wife and I booked this property for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. We experienced nice private beach with the option of walking right next door to Rum Point where they have a couple restaurants, bar, waterspouts etc. Great snorkeling right outside the door. Perfect location, very relaxing
We rent VRBOs regularly and this is definitely one of the best - pristine clean, everything you need, whether eating in or out, and great location with reef snorkeling right outside the back door. Lovely quiet beach at the Retreat with a great bar and restaurant within two mins walk. Our 8 year old loved it and spent hours snorkeling the small reef out from the beach or under the pier - spotted a huge lobster under the night lights at the end of the pier and was so excited! Great location away from the Cruise Ship melee, but still only 40 mins back into town if and when needed - tip: check the Port website for the ship itinerary to understand just how busy it will be each day in Georgetown/Seven Mile Beach. Don’t miss the less visited East Side either - GC has much to offer for all tastes! Overall, a great vacation - kudos to #23 cleaning crew - everything really was in good shape!

Another Terrific Stay at Rumpoint Retreat Unit#23
Our third stay at #23 with Katrina handling our booking. Condo is always clean, beds are comfy, and the view is breathtaking with all the love of beach and water anyone can desire. Katrina is always hands on for any questions.
Our family loves this unit and will always book it when we are in Grand Cayman as long as it is available.
The screened in lanai is wonderful for those of us who do not care for full A/C all the time and want to be outside at night without the bugs.
Plenty of storage and closet space. Love her sunbath mat for the water.

Rum Point Retreat
Rum point was a great place to get away from the crowds and relax and unit 23 where we stayed was ideally situated, clean and comfortable, and well stocked. Lots of great snorkeling straight out the front door although the area was hit a little by sargassum while we were there and you had to get out a bit from shore to get out of murky water...although not really any farther than you would go for good snorkeling regardless. The issue seemed somewhat island-wide while we were there. The restaurants near Rum Point and on north and east sides of the island were great, definitely good to have a rental car for getting around. The wreck bar and grill was nice for lunch but seemed to close early, around 5:30, so be prepared for dinner elsewhere unless you’re cooking at home. The Rum Point Club restaurant right there was also great for dinner, but make sure you keep tabs on days things are open because many places close on Sunday and some on Monday, Tuesday too. You can always find good options open, but may have to drive a little. It’s also smart to plan ahead a little and make reservations which most places take. The new multi-story place next door to the Retreat doesn’t affect any views, etc. from unit 23, and at least it looks like a high end development. On the bright side, once up and running it might give the local rum point restaurants and shops a little boost.

Quiet clean and peaceful
The condo was very clean. We were a little disappointed with the location and temperature of the pool. The car service recommended by prompt management was outstanding.

The unit and location are perfect if you want to be on the water and away for the overcrowded 7-mile beach. The unit clean and spacious and the management was more than happy to assist with any questions or requests.
The owners are very organized and provided all of the information in order to make our stay comfortable.
We look forward to coming back and staying here on our next trip to Grand Cayman.

This was our 3rd trip to The Retreat at Rum Point and pleased to say excellent as ever.
We stayed in condo 23 this time very well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels & beach towels.
Beach quiet as usual nice and relaxing, though there is building work next to The Retreat actually pretty close to our condo we didn't hear any noise.
Will be back again as just love the Cayman's such a perfect place to stay.

Retreat 23 was a great location for our party of 4; 2 active senior couples who travel to warm climes together each year. Retreat 23 is a well-appointed condo with a plenitude of amenities, including extra linens, towels, and kitchen items. The bed in the master BR was very comfortable (I can’t attest for the twins in the 2nd BR). We have previously traveled to Grand Cayman 3 times, all to 7-Mile Beach condos. We found Rum Point to be more relaxing, although much windier. The water off the beach was not as sandy as we would have preferred, but we enjoyed the snorkeling, on calm days, off the point. The washer and dryer in the unit were a bonus! The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. We took advantage of the 2 restaurants at Rum Point ~ there is a beach-type bbq on Monday nights ~ all you can eat. The Rum Point Restaurant did not disappoint ~ delicious ceviche, among other great dishes! It is important to mention that there is major construction occurring right next to the building ~ 7 days a week, beginning at 7:00 am. It wasn’t that noticeable in the condo, but the din at the pool was,at times, annoying. By all appearances, it looks like the construction will be continuing for some time.

This was our first time outside of a hotel. It was the most relaxing experience for a holiday vacation we could have ever wanted. The unit was at the Point of the island, making for a very private setting, and unobstructed view. The rooms were bright, comfortable, inviting, clean and spacious. The patio will truly be missed for no rush replaxing mornjng mimosas!
