Private Modern Mountain Cabin - 2 Acres in Blue River - Minutes to Breck Gondola
Nuestra casa de montaña está convenientemente ubicada en la ruta 9 a menos de 4 millas (unos 5 minutos) al sur de Breckenridge. Beautiful property. Pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was perfect for our family with room to spare. Far enough from the downtown to be alone if you prefer more seclusion, yet very close to everything Brek has to offer. Hosts are wonderful and very communicative and quick to respond. Will stay again and again. This is the place to be!!

We loved staying at this property. The proximity to Breckenridge is great and not too far away. Quite property away from busy Breckenridge. John was a great host and communicated great with us during our stay. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. The house is gorgeous.

This mountain house will not disappoint. The owners have thought of everything, it is extremely well equipped and clean. Plenty of room for 2 families of 5 to spread out. Kids loved the game room upstairs and all loved the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Would definitely rent this house again. John was a wonderful host, very responsive with any questions. Wonderful stay!

A beautiful place for our family to connect & enjoy the activities near by. Loved having a large table for entire family to eat together. Bedrooms did great for our each family to each have their own personal space.

The cabin was everything listed and more. Photos were an accurate representation but didn’t capture the beauty surrounding the house. We loved the great vaulted ceiling and the light from the windows. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. There was a nice supply of paper towels, toilet tissue, tissues, and shower toiletries.
Everyone in our family-kids to parents to grandparents voted we must come back to this cabin. We were in the large hot tub every day taking in the views of the national forest the cabin backed up to. We cooked s’mores over the gas fire pit and utilized the gas grill for dinners. There were spacious areas in front and beside the house for outdoor games or just hanging your own hammock. Our drive to Breck Main Street was only 6 minutes and to a great hiking trail about 8 minutes. During our 7 day stay we did not see any neighbors.
The host gave very detailed information as to how to best utilize the cabin. We highly recommend this cabin.

The home was very clean and well-stocked. Our kids loved the air hockey and foosball table. The hot tub provided much-needed relief after some long days of skiing. The area surrounding the cabin was quiet and secluded, backing up to the forest. We even had a moose come right up to the back door and kitchen window. The cabin is less than a 10 minute drive from all the restaurants, breweries, and shops in Breckenridge. Would recommend this property to anyone! We will definitely stay here when we come to Breckenridge again.

This was the perfect vacation home for our party of 9! Ample room, beautiful home, well stocked kitchen, hot tub, game room and close to town and the mountain! I can’t say enough good things about this rental. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Breckinridge. Thank you John for sharing your beautiful home!

We had an enjoyable time at Sunny Slope in February with our family of 10. It was easy to communicate with John (landlord) and there is a book with detailed information regarding everything from setting out the garbage to setting the thermostats. The accommodations were great for relaxation and family dinners after skiing all day. The driveway was plowed well, after two significant snow falls.

This place was everything we could have asked for and more. Rented a car at Denver airport about a 2 hour drive to the cabin. Massive high ceiling cabin with ample amount of room for hanging out and enjoying it. Skied for 2 days in breckenridge (8 min drive from cabin) and 1 day in vail (1 hr min drive). Game room and hot tub kept everyone entertained and having fun. Check in and check out process incredibly easy. All kitchen supplies and seasoning ingredients already available for your use which was a huge help as well.

Perfect property just outside Breck! We had two adults and two 11 year-old boys and this property had everything to keep us entertained and relaxed following adventures in Breck and surrounding area. We had *multiple* air hockey and foosball tournaments and relaxed every evening following hikes either on the back deck with the fire pit or in the hot tub. While every room does have a television, we never turned them on, such were the other amenities this property has to offer, including numerous board games that were in the stand alone "game room". The property is very clean and welcoming (even to the local deer and moose - those were outside, to be clear). Check-in and check-out procedures are very clearly listed and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this property to others traveling to the area.
Communication from the property owner was rapid and effective. We had a minor issue with the aforementioned hot tub that was resolved within a half hour.
Overall, a great property and a major reason why our family vacation went so well. Thank you Bear Crossing!

Really enjoyed this house, not too far outside breck. Really surprised at how well stocked the pantry and kitchen was. Kids loved the air hockey table and football table in the upper area. 100% recommend

Amazing getaway
This house exceeded our expectations! The location was just perfect. We were so close to town yet felt so secluded in woods. The amount of snow was awesome for a mid March vacation and the sleds in the garage were perfect for the wonderful hill outback. Our group ranged from 5-74 and everyone was so happy with this home. We will most definitely return to this gem! Thanks for a wonderful time.

Perfect place for our family vacation
Property was perfect for our family ski vacation. We found the house to be every thing it was described to be. Plenty of room for our family to spread out but great open space to hang out together. John was a great host and provided us with great information prior to our arrival and was available for us throughout our stay for the few questions we had. Great property and recommend it to others.

Even better than advertised!
The cabin at blue river was perfect for our group of 8 friends hitting the slopes. The space is clean and spacious and had everything we could ever need! The Hot tub was a great addition and we even went sledding in the back yard. The house is off enough from the road that it feels secluded but is only a short drive to Breckenridge proper. Highly recommend!

Any trip to Breckinridge is bound to be amazing, but this house added lots to our experience. Great location, great layout and the owner thinks about all of the little things that make a ski trip easy. Great communication. Very thoughtful. We would stay here again!

We had a great experience at Sunny Slope. Owner was very responsive when hot tub broke during our stay and got it fixed promptly. Location is fantastic. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Breck but close enough to pop down for dinner or groceries. We had a great week and would stay again.

Beautiful spacious home for 6 adults and 3 children. About a 5 min drive to Breckinridge. Great things nearby to explore and had a great time doing summer activities. House was in a great location.

Hidden Gem
Bear Crossing was a wonderful property to stay at! Rooms were spacious and the well stocked pantry and fridge for guests use were a great surprise. Our family of 9 enjoyed the house and especially the game room! It has easy access to local hiking and downtown Breck. Garage was big enough to fit our Transit van during an unexpected hailstorm. We saw several moose during our stay as well. Really wonderful property and would stay again if we are in the area!

Loved Our Stay
The house was as great, and possibly better than presented in the VRBO listing. Our kids loved the game room and video games. We all loved the hot tub. The location was incredibly convenient for lots of skiing and hiking. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was also wonderful to work with and allowed us to arrive a bit early to avoid a storm. Would absolutely stay again when we come back to the area.

Beautiful setting very close to Breckenridge
The accommodations were perfect for my husband and me, two adult sons, our son and daughter-in-law and their 20 month old. It was a very short drive to Breckenridge for skiing and we also drove to Vail one day. Our grandson loved playing outdoors with us in the snow and adults enjoyed the hot tub. The owner, John, was very accommodating and answered questions almost immediately..

Family vacation
The property is beautiful. Lots of room to spread out. Great yard to build a snowman we even got to sled down a hill in the back. It was great. Very beautiful, spacious, up to date. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Amazing Cabin within minutes of Breck, Has Everything.
This property is definitely well appointed, everything we needed and more from kitchenware to bed linens, and it has a LOT of bear themed cabin flare. It's just amazing. The garage may look small but I was able to park a 2020 Escalade 600 in there with relative ease (VERY close fit but the point is.. a big vehicle can fit in each garage bay). The hot tub was very well maintained and was enjoyable. The foosball table is of a high quality and nice to play on, the air hockey table is a bit on the "cheap" side but it still works and we had a blast playing on it. There are also plenty of other board games. Also there are sleds in the garage! The beds were comfortable, the cabin maintains a very comfortable temperature if you set the thermostats in kitchen, living room and mud room to the higher end (70 or so) and then leave the ones in bedrooms and upstairs low. We got too hot in the bedroom on night 1 by setting that one just to 64. Once you get it comfy though it maintains that temp perfectly. The shower and bathtub in main bedroom were great. Oh we did set our bathroom thermostat to 68-70 as well and that is super nice to walk in there and have a warm floor (it's radiant heat throughout entire house, not a single vent). The location was incredible, just take Hwy 9 about 10 minutes and be in DT Breck. PLENTY of parking as it's a long driveway. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS CABIN.

Fun Mountain Home
Beautiful home, very spacious! Everything was very clean when we arrived. The owner was very communicative and sent all kinds of information before arrival. Perfect home for large families or family and friends. The hot tub and patio was a big plus. Also, very close to Breckenridge, it is right off the highway so there is a little traffic noise but not anything to stop me from renting again. Can't wait to go back!

Quarantine Getaway
Owner was incredibly flexible in uncertain times. The house was perfect for us and our 3 kids. We easily could have had another family there with us with room to spare. Great location for everything we wanted to do. We would have stayed for a month if we could have!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot
This was perfect for our extended family. The house was spacious and clean. We were particularly pleased with the kitchen: The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, making it easy to make several meals at home. An added bonus was the hot tub and fire pit -- we spent many nights outside enjoying the stars.
