Backyard was a delight

We enjoyed our stay. The house is large, warm, and clean. It’s right off the main road, minutes to Homewood ski resort, not far from the Palisades also. A couple of maintenance issues: 1. The stove doesn’t lit and there was no fire lighter or matches, which made preparing dinner difficult the first night. 2. The upstairs shower doesn’t drain well. Other than that, we have no complaints.

Overall great location and amenities. Fast internet and beautiful home. Upstairs hot water runs out quickly so make sure you take short showers and master bath shower is clogged. Other than that we had a wonderful time at our stay.

Lovely location. Lots of room for our large group. The kitchen had all we needed for preparing many meals. The neighborhood was wonderful for walks and amenities. The sauna and hot tub were used after our winter outings. As others have mentioned, a little maintenance is needed, but home is comfy.

Stayed here 12/7-12/10 with my family of 8 adults, 3 kids and 4 pets. The house accommodated us greatly. I liked that the home was off a main road, it made driving easier as we are out-of-towners with limited snow driving experience. The host contact was very responsive. This was my first time using Vrbo so I was worried, but all turned out well. I’ll definitely rebook this in the future.

Love the private deck attached to the Master bedroom. Place had everything we needed for great weekend. Access to the private beach and the playground for my kids was amazing would recommend staying again.

Loved our stay. Everything was clean and the cabins access to the private beach made the trip for us. The hot tub in the master was complicated and we couldnt figure it out but the hot tub in the patio made up for it.

House was cute, however the pic and ad makes it look like a private place but It is not! The outdoor Spa/hotub is on the deck that is in front of the major avenue of the city. Also, for the price we would expect the place to be cleaner. The furniture inside the house was clean but the carpet in the living room was dusty. All the deck was dirty and dusty, we couldn't use any of the seats outside. The water in the hot tub smelled chlorine a lot and it wasn't clear. Directions for the private beach wasn't easily available. The house is big, have many bedrooms but mattresses seems to be old and so soft and bounce I had back pain/neck pain on the following day, maybe people who like that type of mattress might like. Not good for everyone though.

Needs a lot of work, a handyman and a week would do, but the location was perfect for us, there were mouse droppings in the cabinets, it needed a good cleaning, chapstick was under the bed in one room, a cup in another, the cleaning crew definitely needs retrained.

The property is in a great location. The private beach access was just amazing. The house is need of some minor maintenance. Kitchen cabinets don’t close, master bedroom has a broken mini blind. Easy access and the hot tub and sauna were lots of fun. We would consider staying there again.

The house is clean and provides what we needed. Walking distance of the beautiful association lake. Overall, we had a great experience and we are planing on booking this house in the future.

Location was outstanding for attending wedding at Sunnyside. And the house is very nice, but in need of some love. Mostly as depicted in listing pictures, but has experienced some wear since then. A couple of kitchen cabinet doors have broken hinges, every toilet seat was loose, a little bit of an ant problem, and probably most inconvenient, the microwave oven didn’t work - which seems simple, but is a bit of a big deal when on vacation (heating supermarket dishes and restaurant leftovers). Contact was nice and helpful, but took 6 wks to confirm if there was a pack and play for our toddler to sleep in. Would definitely consider staying again though if the upkeep has been addressed.

We felt so many things were not working. The microwave, the kitchen fan, light over the stove, stove was missing a knob, kitchen cupboard door was broken and stayed open entire stay, main window was cracked and no keys to trash bin and near the hot tub was flooded so we could not go in the hot tub. We would never stay here again. It was not worth the money we paid. They have got fix everything before renting it out again.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house served the purpose nicely. Even tho it was the middle of record snow fall the location on the main road made the property very accessible. The only reason I did not give five stars is because the property needs a handy man and the manager was non existent. There were a number of little nuisance things wrong or broken. The most noticeable was the microwave which we made do without. But other little things like the three coffee machines on property not working (although my nephew actually cleaned up and repaired one and got it working) A window air conditioner still in place in the middle of winter with poor insulation allowing a steady cold draft into the house. A loose toilet seat... etc all things a good handy man could fix in a few hours most likely. I attribute the lack of trash pickup to the record weather which is what it is. Overall even with these little nuisances four stars it is which speaks well for the house.

We were celebrating my husband’s 80th birthday. So that should explain our ages. We had 14 & 17 year old grandsons, 21 year old granddaughter & their parents Our beds were VERY comfortable, sheets felt great, big sofa for all of us. Many TVs. However, we only, after MUCH frustration figured out how to work the living room TV. There were no instructions for anything. The kitchen stove and cabinets above the range had a film of grease all over them and the cabinets were well worn. We all felt bad for the cabin and felt it is just an investment for the owners and not a place where they spend time. 3 days before checkin we got a code to check in and then all communication stopped. We left early because I kept getting blizzard watches blasted to my I watch. My stepson snd his wife who rented down the street didn’t make it to tahoe because their VRBO owner told them They’d not make it home and didn’t charge them. We rented for 4 nights, stayed 2. No refund. Owner has a 12,500 foot house in Orange, CA. We know this because of a notice of a fine posted on the house when we were there. There was no customer service. I think it would be a great cabin in the summertime also and for those who don’t care about communication, Instruction, recommendations for restaurants, things to do as those are nonexisistent.

This was a great stay. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and located in the best possible area. This will more than satisfy the needs of a group of friends staying for a ski/hiking trip. However, the cabin does need some love. The microwave and the coffee maker did not work. Which is not a big deal, but it is inconvenient if you were a family with formula or need anything heated up quickly. The bathroom doors were old and decaying. The door handle did not work in the front door.... Very minor things that would make this an even better experience. I still give it 5 stars because of the value, amenities, and location. If it was a grade, I would give it an A-. I will certainly stay here again if available.

Beautiful home and a great location. Plenty to room to fit everybody for a weekend snowboarding trip.

House is beautiful. Issue with Hot Tub, but they called repair guy right away. Huge clump of hair we removed from shower to stop flooding in shower, microwave not working at all (bad when you have teens and you have to reheat food. Cleaning supplies left out and clothes left in Dryer. Overall its a nice place and great location. The manager was awesome! They just need a better cleaning person. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. Everything was neat and clean. Equipped with all that you need to enjoy your stay. The host was easy to communicate with. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a challenging time in your cabin, but I feel that something’s need to be expressed. At first look it looked to be clean and nicely stocked with towels and pan and toilet paper, but when we went to get the fire going the fireplace was filled with ashes so it needed to be cleaned, then there was not one piece of firewood which on the rule said it was supplied. After we went to get firewood and food we opened the Refrigerator and it was terribly dirty, mold is growing in the bins and the freezer was full of dirty ice. We wiped it down but it needed a good scrubbing so we used our ice chest for most of our food. The other thing was the appliances were very dirty. Jelly,butter and splattered oil on the appliances and cupboards, that have not been cleaned in some time. I clean vacation condos in Maui so I know that the owner only knows what the housekeepers do if the guest tells them. I think that the basic cleaning was done but a deep cleaning is really needed. The other thing was that there was trash on the porch and the side house with dog poop around, but we finally figured out that the neighbors dog was the one coming over and pooping under the roof overhang. I also know that the weather is not in your control, but every other place I have stayed has had a snow blower, salt and several large snow shovels. There was one snow shovel and one metal dirt shovel. We literally had to use the rowing oars to move the snow because it was coming down so fast. We had to leave the parish able foods in the fridge and some trash in a box in the house because we couldn’t get to the bear bin. I feel we had to clean and work most of the time we were there because we didn’t have what we needed supplied by the homeowner. The sauna was not working and the Hot tub needed to be cleaned, but the kids enjoyed it anyway. I don’t mean to be negative, but I think that the owner needs to come and see that many things need to be cleaned and updated, the mirror frame in the upstairs bedroom is literally peeling apart. I didn’t post this on the site because I think that you are trying to be a good host but sometimes the people taking care of the home need a little supervision. I wish my trip was the Christmas experience I had hoped for, but maybe with us letting you know what it was like for us it will be fixed for the next guests.

We had such a good time at this cabin with my family for the weekend. Definitely would love to come back. Sauna and hot ton were such a great addition and we absolutely loved our stay.

Overall, lovely house and very spacious. With that being said, this neighborhood is very racist, I am not Caucasian. With that being said, people kept spying on my family and I, keep in mind I have a 7 year old daughter, the neighbors called a park officer to check in on us, because the house does not have “proper permits” for it to be a rental property. We were made uncomfortable by the constant monitoring and watching. Even at the lake across the street from us. I’m a small business owner who paid out of pocket for an a relaxing weekend getaway, and I left stressed and disappointed with the political agendas of the area. I filed a formal complaint, VRBO you need to do better as a company to ensure everyone is treated with respect they deserve when they rent a property under your terms and conditions.

Perfect cabin for a retreat with family. The access to the nearby beach and it's amenities alone was enough to make this a no Brainerd for a return stay

A quintessential cabin with all the amenities that you would want! It was warm and cozy, and very close to ****Tahoe City. I would stay here again.

Everything for our trip at this rental was very smooth and easy. It was clean and heated when we arrived. Lots of towels and blankets available for use. Sauna and hot tub were clean and functioned properly! Good communication with the owners, comfy beds and lots of them! We got to enjoy the first snow of the season and utilized the garage parking was a huge plus! Wifi was strong, and there are lots of TVs, a mini bluetooth stereo, plenty of fans and a few space heaters to use depending on the season of your trip. Would highly recommend and return!

A group of 8 of us stayed at this house for 5 days. There was plenty of room for the 4 couples. The hotel on the deck was a great place to relax after an active day hiking and on the water, and the beds were very comfortable. It was easy to get around the lake from this property. There's a nice little store just down the street which was convenient for coffee or picking up a couple of supplies. The beach was much rockier than expected but the water was clear and beautiful.

The highway noise is a blessing and a curse. While it adds some noise, it also added cover for all the noise my family members were making cuz they were so happy to be together. Neighbors are far enough away that we could have fun without worry of offending. One uncle got his car towed on Sequoia though, so be careful where you park. The house itself is well furnished. Kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms and bedding are good quality. Would recommend this house for great centrally located family fun.

Best family vacation ever! Road was noisy, but everything else was wonderful. Kids all had a great time. Beach, restaurants all terrific! Lots of room at the house for all of us. Thank you! We loved your home!! Vicky Moore

It was an overall great stay. Spacious, clean, and great location. Only possible drawbacks are that the home is right off highway 89, so not a lot of front or back yard space. And the neighbors seemed very sensitive to noise from people enjoying the hot tub at night.

We had a great time. The walk to the private beach was about 10 minutes. We were able to use the dock for loading and unloading our boat which was a great convenience. The price was very fair in comparison to other cabins in the area. The master bedroom could use a couple of minor tweaks. The bed needs to be centered so that both sides have a nightstand with a lamp allowing both partners the comfort of a reading lamp and equal accessibility to the bed. The blinds in the main room could use some repair to allow greater functionality. The large couch was great allowing the whole family the ability to comfortably share it. Overall the accommodations were very nice.
